I’ve bought from budget battery for some time now. It allows seems that the batteries fail right after the warranty is up. Very disappointed that I spend $100+ for a battery that won’t last over
1 1/2 years. I’ve decided to just buy from Costco for a few dollars more and triple the length of the warranty. For $100 the battery should last longer than a year and a half.
I had to have both the main and auxiliary batteries in my Jeep changed today. One was completely gone and the main one was about half of what it should be. Travis had both of them in in less than 20 minutes. If you know anything about changing batteries in Jeeps, especially the auxiliary battery, it takes time and it's a pain. Doug the owner was also a pleasure to work with. The Jeep is back up and running and doing everything that it needs to be doing. Total price was about half of what the dealership wanted. Big shout out to Doug and Travis at Budget Batteries. I will be recommending them from now on.
Go to this place if you need a new battery hands down, their prices and warranty cannot be beat. Their service is also excellent, they care about their work and will make sure not only your battery works well but diagnose and tidy up the connections as well. Super impressed by how fast they worked, in and out and done right.

I have been getting my batteries from budget since before I could remember and it has always been a great experience i don't go to many other places they are usually the first place that comes to mind when im looking for a battery. they have my full support and I would recommend to anyone I know.
The owner Doug is a man with integrity. We brought our daughters car in to get a new battery
in 2022. She recently moved to Boise and just had an issue with her car. The mechanic diagnosed her battery as the issue. When I called Budget Battery, Doug explained the warranty requires he test the battery himself. When I explained the situation, getting the battery back to Washington would be impossible he decided to honor his warranty anyway. This type of customer service is very hard to find these days. I appreciate Doug doing something he didn’t have to do. Most businesses would have told me sorry but there was nothing they could do and send me on my way.
I’ve purchased several batteries from Budget over the years and with this experience I will be a customer for life.
I had the worst customer service I've ever had from this place. I you guys lost a customer thats been coming here for at least 10 years. Plus I'll be passing on the word of mouth to family and friends.
Bought a battery here in May of 2023. Today, my car was struggling to start, so I called, and Alex verified my battery was less than 3 years old, and would be covered by warranty if it was bad. I went directly there, they quickly tested the battery and determined it was dead. Less than 15 minutes on site and I drove away with a brand new battery at no charge. Thanks Budget Batteries!! Great service!
These guys are the best. My car battery died and once it charged I went to Budget Battery and they not only had a new battery available, they also replaced it for free! I was in and out within 15 minutes. Thanks guys you were great!

Came here today, needing a deep cycle battery for my RV and was prepared to buy a couple of them thinking that was what I needed. But after speaking with Doug, who was very helpful and knowledgeable, he educated that one was probably more than enough for my camper van, unless I wanted to spend more money which wasn't necessary. Doug is a super helpful and highly knowledgeable guy who knows what great customer service is. I'm very pleased and will definitely be coming back here for future needs .
I’d been having some trouble and wasn’t sure whether it was the battery or the alternator going bad, so I took it to Budget Batteries. They took a look at both and determined the problem was as simple as a loose terminal. They tightened it up for me and sent me on my way without charging me. I appreciate the quick troubleshooting and friendly service! When I do need to replace my battery, I will most certainly be going here.
I've probably purchased 20+ batteries from here over the years. They've always taken care of me, and the prices have always been good. They charge batteries for free, check your alternator for free. The manager can appear to be short tempered at times but is a solid human being.
I always recommend them to friends who are needing batteries. The don't try to sell you a battery, unless it's needed. I took a battery there that would not charge on my home charger, they offered to charge it for a couple f hours and would only be a 5 dollar fee if the battery charged and was still good, and no fee if I ended up buying a replacement if it was bad.
I came here planning to buy a new battery because I thought mine was bad. Instead of just selling me a new one, they tested my battery first and found out it was still in good condition. They advised me to clean my connectors when reinstalling the battery, and I should be good to go. I really appreciate their honesty and the fact that they didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need. I’ll definitely be back when I do need a new battery. Thank you!
I bought a brand new battery in October of 2023 and recently my battery has been going dead every 3 to 4 days so on Saturday I took my car up there and have them test the battery. Travis is the one who helped me and he was rude and condescending the whole time that he was talking to me and treating me like I didn't know what I was talking about. I listen to what he had to say and tried to understand what he needed to do before he could warranty the battery and I agreed to follow his procedures. He took my battery out and said he had to charge it for the weekend and then put a loaner battery in and told me to come back on Monday. When I returned on Monday they couldn't find my battery initially and then figured out that they never put it on the charger when I spoke to Doug who is the supervisor I was trying to tell him about the rude tone of voice that Travis had with me on Saturday and how it made me want to take my battery and go to the other location and then he cut me off and said okay then take your battery and go to the other location and then tried to put a dead battery back in my car and I told him that I needed to go to work and that I couldn't drive around on a dead battery and he said oh well I guess you'll be driving on a dead battery since you want to go to the other location. After that he started to get a rude condescending tone with me as well. He wouldn't let me finish the sentence and kept cutting me off so I couldn't even get out what I needed to say. I had my boyfriend pull up and get out of his car because I felt like they were treating me this way because I am a woman. It seems as if they don't like women who stand up for themselves. Once my boyfriend got there Doug tried to act like he had been trying to provide me the service that I wanted for the last 5 minutes but that I was being uncooperative. Once my boyfriend was in the picture Doug decided that he would warranty my battery and they put a new one in my car. I won't ever return to budget battery because they are incompetent and extremely rude to women.
Best. Service. Ever. These guys saved my trip when my RV batteries gave up halfway through it. They went above and beyond to get me back on the road. If it made sense to drive to Tacoma from Colorado for new batteries, I'd do it every time! Don't go anywhere else the next time you need a battery!
Great experience walked up with my old battery, got set up with a new (used) one at a very reasonable price. Popped it in and I’m super happy with the performance. Didn’t catch the guys name but he got me in and out quick. Definitely will be recommending this place when I can.
UPDATE: If you have battery, alternator, or starter problems this should be your first stop. Awesome service! Hard to find good honest mechanics these days ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Tacoma Mobile broke down and not only did they test the battery but also the alternator which was bad. They lend me a spare for the time being so I could move my car that was inconveniently located, and to also bring it in. Now that’s friendly service. Fair prices too. Thanks Doug!
Got sent here by the roadside service person who jumped our car. He said our battery wasn't dead but we should get these guys to check it. They have been so quick and efficient I thought it was too good to be true but the other reviews confirm that these guys are great and they get the job done. And while our battery was able to be jumped -- yes, we needed a new one. So glad we were able to make it here before it conked out again.

This place is great! Really fast service great prices. Dealt with Trevor he help me figure out that my 6 year old battery was dead, got a new one for $79 with a 5 year warranty. They cleaned up my battery compartment at no charge, very happy. Doug is great too and has been here for 38 years. Can't say enough positive things about this store.
