Brought our car in around Sep/Oct of 2024 just for an ESTIMATE. It’s now the middle of June 2025 & I’ve called multiple times waiting weeks on end and now months. Called back finally after 5 months giving Tim time and still the same answer “haven’t gotten to it call back in a couple weeks.” We’ve always given him good business so I’m not sure why he’s stalling on at least an estimate. Really disappointed that I won’t be bringing my business back here and to think just a couple years ago we rated 5 stars after he fixed my rack and pinion.
Initially, it seemed like it was going to be a good experience. They called with the plan 2 days after drop off and said it would be 2 days for parts to arrive. Over a week later, we called for an update, and parts had not been ordered. After 2.5 weeks, repairs were supposed to be completed, except they suddenly realized that they only ordered one of the two needed switches (windows needed swiches replaced, and AC had a leak). We requested to at least pick the car up so we were not carless another week. On the initial pickup, the AC didn't work. They did some additional something or other while we sat there for 90 minutes, and it was finally blowing cold. We took the car to use while waiting for the second switch. The very next day, the door panel was falling off (they had to go in the panel), and the AC stopped working again within hours. They "fixed" the door panel but would not address the AC. The very next day, after the door "fix" the door panel was falling off again, and now has dents in it. We feel we are in the same position as we were before we spent the repair money. Swapped window problems for door problems, and the AC still doesn't work.
The best mechanic I've found in years. Tim is actually Dave's son. I needed to get my car back early to get to safety and he was there for me. Honest and trustworthy and funny!
My family has taken our vehicles to Dave's Auto Repair since the late 1980s! They are honest, trustworthy, and always been straightforward about repairs & have done an excellent job on every vehicle!
Tim and Jason were great first time visiting and getting same day repair yesterday got me back on the road when they said they would very friendly neighborhood shop and will definitely return if anymore issues come up.thanks again I wanted to add I went back in last week of the year during the snow for a bolt replacement they saved me lots of money over what dealership was going to charge another wonderful experience and appreciate them for being open during such cold weather then.thanks you Tim and Jason again for great service
I sure wish we'd found Dave's years ago the experience was great. We tried taking our Ram diesel to the repair shop we'd used for years but they told me it would be 4 weeks before they could get it in. Considering we were leaving the area in 2 weeks that wasn't going to work.
I called a couple of other shops but none could get us in before we were leaving. When I Rajeev reached Tim at Dave's and explained the situation he told us to bring it in. He did half the work we asked him to do then called to arrange for us to pick it up so we could take our horses to the vet. Tim told us to bring it back after we were done hauling horses and he'd finish the rest of the repairs.
We did just that and 2 days later he called well after his closing time to let us know all the work was done and we could pick it up the next day. The cost was very reasonable, everything we needed done was done and if we were staying in the area we'd use Dave's for all repair work going forward.
Can't thank Tim enough for helping us out and enabling us to leave on time.
Tim told me it would take 3 days to do my valve cover gasket and radiator flush on my Mustang.It ended up only taking 1 day ! Tim was very honest and dependable…. I would recommend Dave’s Auto Repair to all friends!
They made a customer out of me. Since I live close, I thought I would give Dave’s a try. So glad I did. It’s hard to find a business that doesn’t try to upsell you or just look for a simple fix instead of finding the real problem, but Tim & Jerod excelled! They had very reasonable prices and treated me well. The cats & the rooster were a bonus. I’ll definitely be back.
I've been bringing my vehicles to Dave's for nearly 20 years. I have always felt that I got a fair shake. They have never done work that I didn't authorize.I like the way that they break down my options for me. What I have to have fixed, what I aught to have fixed, and what would be nice if I got it fixed. No pressure. The work has always been top quality. Can't really say how their prices compare with other shops, because I don't do business with other shops. I've never felt like I was overpaying. Not the place to go if your Feline phobic. They got the friendliest cats.
These guys are straight up the BEST! I've never found a more honest mechanic shop in my life! I don't live far from here and am soo fortunate to give Dave's Auto Repair a try!
A spark plug popped out of my engine, and stripped the threads. They went in and got out the broken threads, drilled in a new spark plug thread, and replaced it.
Also couldn't get my truck into park... was frustrated and they fixed it right up, and were so affordable. Tim did me right and is super hilarious which i appreciate when I come over there. Im still in shock and am greatful!
I'll be bringing in the SUV now to get the transmission looked at next and will see how it goes!

Damage my car while in for a new o2 sensor told me they’d cover the damages and got 2 estimate then they tell me they no longer want to pay for the damages while my car was In There car. Now I’m out 1,700$ for body work
Very helpful and they checked my car’s problems thoroughly! They don’t do rush check up! Worth waiting as they do quality check and diagnose on the problem! Will recommend them to my friends!
After keeping my truck for 4 weeks this summer, I had hoped these guys could solve my problem but after a new thermostat and a new radiator I still have no heat. There was other work to do and they seemed confused about whether my heads needed to be done or if they could even do it...and oh yeah- we did some work we didn't tell you about because it 'needed to be done'...again, this over 4 weeks with my company truck... $3500 later now I'm told I need a heater core. Could you cut me a break on that? No? Ok...'bye.
Take my advice and take it to the pros- I know I am.
Was not pleased with my service there,I wasted $300 to fix my car because it keeps overheating, and it still overheats,I have reason to believe they did minor work on my car just so they can get me to come back and waste more money on them,and they sold me an overpriced radiator cap which I didn't even want,these Guy's are thiefs I would not recommend anyone to go here,this is not an honest mechanic.

I needed the turbo assembly replaced in my 2008 Dodge Diesel truck...The dealer wanted $6000. to do the job, Daves quoted me $3000. with their guarantee. They did an excellent job as promised! In a time when it is tough to trust lawyers, insurance companies, and auto repair places I no longer have to worry about auto repairs! Good people,who do what they promise at a reasonable price!!
