We love this place. Like a lot of places on the 101 it has a dated old world charm. The view and the 5 minute walk to the beach can't be beat. The couple that runs the place are wonderful to deal with.
Another bonus to this location is vehicle access to the beach 1 minute down the road.
These 9 cottages (plus 3bdr A-frame) afford privacy on the Long Beach WA peninsula in reasonable proximity to Long Beach downtown with variety of restaurants including a distillery and a couple of brewpubs. Highly recommended for winter storm watching as you'll have some privacy and it's a 5 min walk out to the beach.
This stated cabin was a great reminder of when I was a kid and went on vacation with mom and dad and my brother. Often times we count cabins like this they gave us just a space we needed. Gavin was comfortable had a comfortable sofa and armchair. Had a nice round kitchen table, a very small kitchen but everything you needed. Very comfortable bed, king size that took most of the room. It was a great place to spend our anniversary weekend multiple quality restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery store that had everything you might want at a premium price because you’re at the beachwe would go back again
Back in 2020, my wife and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. Till this day we’ve never forgotten our wonderful experience we had. I encourage you all to stay here. You won’t regret it.
Wonderful stay here! We stayed at #2 Cabin. It was unexpected that we had just what we needed for dates and occupancy since we called last minute. This place is usually fully booked! Kids loved the 5 minute walk to the beach past the sand dunes. The cabin was cozy, complete, and clean! We prepared our breakfast at the cabin. The queen sofa bed and bedroom was comfortable. Includes an outdoor shared kitchen, grill, gathering space. Private deck with seating facing the dunes. Loved our stay!
Love the cottage style, just a 5 mins walk from the beach.. we got in super late and Cindy was so kind and easy going about it. She even went and turned on the lights for us and lit the living room fire for us so it wasn't cold after the long drive and so we weren't in the dark. Everything was clean and tidy. Nice porch on the back facing the beach/ocean. We will be visiting them again soon in the near future!! Thanks Cindy for everything!!
Went with my family last year of August 2019, it was a nice comfy cozy cabin. We stayed in #7 'Captain's Choice' cottage and it was very stunning! We had a family of 8 people including 2 kids and it wasn't that crowded inside with that many people. The view outside was absolutely amazing! I really liked the trail in the back leading the beach area, although it was rainy so it was very muddy on the way.. that wasn't the good part though. If we went on a sunny day then that would have been perfect! We went to there to stay a night because we had a reservation the next day to go horseback riding. But because of the sudden rain in the morning.. it was canceled and we were disappointed. Anyways I enjoyed the cozy cottage, will come back again.
When we got to Klipsan Beach cottages on Monday, of course the first thing we did was walk down to the beach. After an hour or so we walked back to the cottage and took off or shoes and socks on the back deck and I was reminded of one of my favorite " mom" stories;
When I was a kid, in Las Cruces NM, we would disappear into the desert in the morning and return in the evening. It was a nightly ritual for mom to carefully take off my sneakers and socks and she would say,
"let's see how much fun you had today." Then she would take off my shoes and then my socks. She would determine how much fun I had that day by the size of the ball of sand that was in each sock. It was always a wonderful thing to hear her say, " Wow! You really had fun today!"

This place has so much potential but yet needs some work.
At this time this place feels nothing like a lone cottage, but I believe a lot of people would like this type of setting. Office is closed but the friendly staffs are still responsive to calls. Cottages are roughly 10 feet apart but side windows are high enough to ensure privacy. Distance to the beach is a bit far for just walking, but fortunately there is a public beach access road just a minute down the street.
The cell reception is poor for some carriers but Wifi signal is not strong enough to accommodate the difference. Some utensils in my room was slightly greasy for some reason. Curtains are thin, so the room would be pretty bright in early morning during the summer. Price may be a bit high, but maybe this is the market value of this area.
Sweet cottages that are clean, cozy, and well-equipped. Only suggestion is, if you rent one with a fireplace, bring your own dry wood, kindling, and matches. There is lots of firewood in the shed but it was wet and wouldn’t catch.
View from the porch is amazing. Nice amenities, short walk to the beach. Beach was clean and beautiful. Cabins and surrounding was clean and presentable. Not a lot of nose pollution, I was able to see the milky way. I will be coming again!
Cute place. We stayed in the small cabin #9. Looked at larger ones for future trips with family. All had decks. Nice garden as well.
#9 had fridge, microwave, coffee maker and hair dryer. Larger cabins have full kitchens.
#9's bathroom is a little tight, and the nightlight / power failure flashlight was a bit bright (so I just moved it out of sight)... If they were busy (quiet off-season weekend for us) I might wonder about parking. Otherwise no cons at all.
We had a great time. We stayed 4 nights. Such a great escape from the hustle of real life. Very clean. Nice kitchen with everything you might need to stay in and make dinner. Nice trail to the beach. Everything about this place is easy. We will be back soon!
Love this place. Just down the road from LongBeach, be sure to take the kids to visit the Kite Museum, where they can learn about Kite history, make there own kites, then fly them on the beach. Check out the cranberry bogs, see sand art competitions. So much to see and do. The back to your own little cottage by the beach to relax, read a book, take a walk on the beach, enjoy the flower garden. Klipsan Beach Cottages is a beautiful place. Cute, comfortable, quiet, clean, well maintained cottages. Everything you need, all the comforts of home. Views of the ocean and short walk through the dunes to the beach. Very friendly and helpful caretakers. Would definitely recommend for your get-away or family beach vacation. Hope to return in the future!
Relaxing it's great place to "unhook" your mind from the stress of city life, they have wonderful fire places with a wood shed, where you can cut your own wood for kindling, stores are only a mile north, they have a small kitchen, with all the amenities, a full bathroom, it's very quiet! If you miss this one, your not enjoying the coast, there is a 5 minutes walk to the beach. So bring your sandals! But also dress for the coastal weather. Long Beach is only, a few minuets south of Klipsan.
This place is quiet, clean, well appointed, and a three minute drive from both a general store and a really nice restaurant. 15-20 minutes and you're in busy and touristy Long Beach. We stayed in both the Cabana and in Cabin #3 - Lighthouse. The managers were very sweet and accommodating. Less than 48 hours before our trip we called to find out if we could come a day earlier to avoid driving in a predicted storm. They weren't able to put us in the Lighthouse (we had reserved it for later) for the extra night so they accommodated us in the Cabana. ||||We arrived about five minutes before the office closed and they quickly called down to Nancy and Jamilla's to see if we could get dinner down there. "They've turned off the lights outside but they say to come on quickly and they'll seat you." And so we had a great dinner.||||The Cabana was very cosy, and had a nice fridge, coffee maker, microwave and plenty of paper plates and cups for us to use. In the morning, they got our cabin ready for us as quickly as they could and we moved over the the "Cabin #3 Lighthouse" for excellent storm watching while we sat by our cozy wood fire. In the cabins it is extremely quiet and private. We barely saw any other guests even though most of them were booked for that weekend. ||||At the General store grocery just a few minutes away they have a Red Box movie rental and everything you need for making s'mores. The only thing we didn't love is that the TV is mounted kind of high, so it made watching from the couch a little distant. Also, the internet is so-so, but we didn't care because get off your phones and talk to each other! The kitchen in the cabin was well appointed, but you'll need to bring your own everything like cooking oil, etc. We were also glad we had brought a cheese grater. The coffee pot was excellent and the fridge is full-sized so you really could settle in there for a week. ||||Walking to the beach is as advertised. Quick, easy, quiet. Oh, and it was our anniversary so they left us a little gift on the table!||||We really loved our stay and plan to make it an annual trip.
I would have booked here. However, when I called to book, the receptionist said that they do not allow people with service animals to stay at their properties regardless of what the Americans With Disabilities Act states. Since these properties do not accommodate people who are disabled and have service dogs, I have to book somewhere more disability friendly.
The grounds around the cottages
are so well kept these people must work very hard. The cottages are very clean. We saw the Managers cleaning while there.
They have very high standards.

Nice secluded small resort. I seriously was grossed out about the multi colored grout in the shower. Resort managers assured me it was cleaned and sanatized. I really wanted to believe them but I ran out and bought flip flops for my own comfort. The rest of the cottage was clean with a fairly new remodeled full kitchen. Many of the deck boards bouced when walked apon.
If you want to be away from the crowds, have privacy from your neighbors (except on the deck) w/private beach access (though you have no ocean view and have to walk about 1/3+ mile to the beach), consider Klipsan cottages. Located just south of Ocean Park and several miles north of Long Beach, this is a terrific place to relax & enjoy some quiet. ||||We stayed two nights in Beachy Keen, a compact, rather tightly outfitted unit. Furnishings were dated & well-worn, including the rug which was threadbare in several spots. Knotty pine wainscoat. This unit has a wood-fireplace, which we did not use that occupies a big section of the small living space. Generally good lighting for older folks & readers, except for the bathroom. Decent LED t.v. ||||Two very tight spots: the bathroom w/very small sink & toilet area and the bedroom w/the queen bed sandwiched into a small room (little room at the end or sides of the bed). ||||Kitchenette was ok --- everything works but needs a sink sprayer and kitchen mat for dish washing (there is no dishwasher). No disposal, few utensils & no spatter shield. ||||Shower needs a non-skid mat and/or safety handrail. ||||Cooperative manager & picturesque grounds.
Clean, well appointed. Love the kitchenette. Barbeque area inside garden on property. Helpful staff. Short walk to the beach, which is less frequented, although close to a beach access road. A little remote, 15 min drive to Long Beach. If looking for a secluded beach cottage this is excellent.
We stayed here for two nights and loved it ! The cottages are clean, well furnished, with nicely equipped kitchens, and a fireplace. We had a wonderful view out through the dune grass to the ocean, and there is a trail out to the beach that is an easy walk, and well maintained. The grounds at Klipsan are beautiful and well maintained. The managers were very professional, and offered suggestions for restaurants.||When we made our reservations on line they asked if we were celebrating any special occasion, and we listed our anniversary. When we arrived there was a card and flower arrangement on the table in the room...a very nice touch !||We used to stay at Blackwood Beach, and other locations on the Long Beach peninsula, but this is where we will stay in the future.
