After 30 years living in The Dalles Or I finally found a great auto repair shop thanks to my Mom moving to the little town of goldendale Wa from Illinois. They are literally worth triple the extra sales tax even a hotel room for a couple nights if needed to get quality work done instead of all the crooked shops in the dalles.
I paid almost half of what they wanted in The Dalles Or.

Jason not only provided a detail explanation of what had occurred with my truck but also provided recommendations on different styles and patterns of my driving performance that would prolong my exhaust filter. Moreover, among these driving techniques were ways to extend the filling up of my exhaust filter so that regeneration would be less frequent. Broke down on Labor Day, called Jason first thing Tuesday morning and was told he could look at it that afternoon and probably fix it Wednesday if parts available. Appreciated the honesty of what was to happen instead of normal yes sir right away and not happening.

G.E.A.R. has been my go-to mechanic for many years now. It all started when my old F250 was having carburetor issues. The guy came out and took a look. Told me what I needed. I was able to fix it myself, thanks to him. He never charged me a thing. Now, I take all my vehicles there for oil changes and repairs. They're good, honest people.
Everyone here is amazing. It's hard to find a good shop that won't overcharge or lie to you... but GEAR won't! Also, they will get you in on short notice.

Very nice people but the work was terrible, it looked liked it was thrown together in a few minutes, it was put together with the wrong size pipe, and didn’t look like what I wanted, I will have to completely re-fabricate a new exhaust to meet my standard, however they were nice and it wasn’t too expensive.
This place is AMAZING! Everyone here is so nice to work with! I have been waiting so many years to find a company like them, honest, reliable and quick! I will NEVER trust anyone else but them!
I’m new to the area and the shop was recommended. And I know why! What a great shop. Everyone is so nice and does a great job. Jason went above and beyond in my opinion with some small things that might not mean much to him or anyone else but I sure appreciate it, and Esther is such a wonderful sweet lady. Amazing people. Truck broke down while heading home with travel trailer. Was towed to their shop after hours on a Sunday and they had my truck repaired and back to me the following day. Jason was professional, friendly and willing to show me what went wrong.

These guys saved my weekend. Blew a transmission line on my truck 250 miles from home. Limped it to their shop late on a Friday afternoon and they were nothing short of amazing. They were able to repair the line since it wasn’t available at local parts store and had me back on the road towing my racecar in about an hour. Great people and great service.

These guys are the best! Had a trip to Mexico planned for months, leaving the weekend after Thanksgiving and on Wednesday afternoon a power steering belt on our pickup broke! Had the truck towed to their shop and they fixed it and got us in the road! Saved my life or at least my happiness 💖
