Can I give 10 stars? We broke down on our way to the Mariners play off game. He worked amazing miracles. Helped find a tow, was getting parts, got us back on the road. Kudos to Kitsap Towing for a difficult spot to pick up our car from. We made it to the game when we'd lost hope and saw 10 of the 15 innings!
I had a flat tire and USAA towed my car to Del's. His team not only took care of the flat, but found nails in two other tires. Evidently I drove over a box of sharp nails. Del's took care for a reasonable price and quickly. What a beautiful location!
I was stranded far from home with a broken down car. I called and they were able to squeeze me in same day and help me out. Super fair prized and the most helpful and honest staff I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. If you ever need help with your car, go here!!
Do not leave your car here. I went to him once, my car just sat there for days, no call nothing. Finally went to take my car back and went to the other place. In downtown Suquamish. He operates this like a hobby not a business. What a joke. Be warned.
And no, my car was not the Nissan Frontier.

Super patient and thorough for a very difficult repair, especially during a time when it's difficult to get parts from suppliers. Went above and beyond to test to make sure the car was actually working before returning the vehicle. They discovered an issue with a part received from a supplier and negotiated to get it replaced, then kept to test extensively after it was repaired and generously waived charges for that extra time. After a very shotty speedy lube oil change, we were experiencing severe issues with our Jeep. Del and his team not only fit us into their busy schedule, but spent so much effort diagnosing the issue, ordering parts quickly, and giving us an excellent rate on labor. Could not have asked for more. We definitely found our new local auto shop for repairs and servicing!
Del's Automotive did an excellent job repairing the brakes on my 36 year old Volvo. I would specifically recommend Del's Automotive for repairs on older cars. The price for Del's work was competitive and I'll be returning for more service on my car.

I can't say enough good things about Del and his team. I'm brand new to WA and as things sometimes happen, no sooner had my 1966 GMC truck arrived from California via transport, it would hardly start and it barely ran. I have decades of experience with this truck but I'd never seen anything like this happen. Also, I only entrust my truck to people who know their stuff.
Of course, I knew virtually no one here so I began calling around. Not a surprise, the responses from local shops were either "I don't work on old cars" or (and possibly more honestly) "I don't know anything about those vehicles."
At long last I came across Del. Not only did he know this particular truck, he even knew the particular engine. Now this is really something because this particular engine is quite rare. On the phone Del pretty much had the problem pegged, but he invited me to come by for a look. Oh, and he even volunteered to tow the truck to his shop if needed, but I thought I could tough out three miles! :) From the very beginning I knew I could trust Del.
Upon arriving at Del's place, and it's a huge, well organized shop with all sorts of work going on, Del spotted at least three or four engine problems within minutes. He asked me to leave the truck, he suggested he'd need a couple of hours and possibly some hoses and other parts.
In less that 24 hours Del had my truck working perfectly. He called and filled me in on the issues, the remediation, and most importantly, he offered a very reasonable upgrade proposal to totally eliminate the electrical problem.
Can it get better? Sure. I mentioned I'd walk over and pick up the truck, and the hike to Del's is about two miles from my home. About half way there, here comes my truck purring down the highway, Del grinning behind the wheel! "How about a ride", Del said! Not only was this the greatest courtesy I've ever experienced with a shop owner, but it also had the dual purpose of a hands-on road test and discussion.
Folks, Del misses nothing. For those of us who are not deep into mechanics, you need to listen closely and ask questions if you don't quite understand something. Del is very patient and he'll tell you exactly what you need to know.
I'm very lucky to have found Del. Sure, mine is an old, classic truck but I've had it for almost 40 years and I'll have it another 40 with Del in the game. Give him your business, you will be glad you did.
