First time here. Had 3 bags of plastic bottles and containers. I thought you could get money for recycling since that's what I did in California, but It's a spot to just dump what you have to.
They don't want you to dump garbage here, based on their prices. You're better off throwing your stuff on the side of the road. WM will end picking it up in the end, and it's free 😆
I don't normally complain about stuff. I took a computer chair, 2 plastic yard chairs stacked, medium size dog kennel which was broke down and took hardly any room in the bed of my truck and was told $33. I've used this place for 20 years and never been so ripped off. I mentioned this to a few friends and they have experienced the same ridiculous prices. A buddy of mine told me the county took it over from Waste Management.. no idea if that's true and don't even care. I'll never go there again and will just sawzall my stuff and put it in with weekly trash pickup.
Website states they take several forms of payment (i.e., Visa, Mastercard, cash, etc.. When we got there the woman said they don't take anything electronic. They should update their website so people don't drive out there only to be turned away.
Fee is $15, not $10. Cash only too. I only had 10 prepared so it was a wasted trip. Takes more money to throw away garbage responsibility than to have lunch.
I use this location frequently to drop off recycling. We frequently fill our curbside recycling container and this location is convenient and easy to swing in and drop off excess recycling I have.
$180+ for a standard 6ft truck bed size of debris. And significantly more for building debris like drywall and roofing scraps. This location used to be my go to because it was $20 a load, then up to $50 a few years back. I don't understand how they can charge so much ( almost $200 a load), when other locations in the kitsap/mason county area charge 1/4 or less for the same volume of material debris. Very very expensive and I will not be using this location for anything but recycling, unless they start charging for that too, which wouldn't surprise me with how the price has increased %400 over the last 5 years.
Doesn't go by weight so if the guy that looks at 11 normal trash bags wants to charge you 86 dollars that's what it is and it's only cash just take the small drive to the bremerton site they have a scale and the same load was 42 dollars dont waste your time there
We had about 8 bags of yard debris, large cardboard boxes and a metal queen bedframe. It was $41 for the bags of trash but the metal and cardboard were free. The guy that checked us in was super nice. I know $41 is a little pricey but it was quick and painless
Quick in and out to drop off single use batteries, scape metal and cardboard. Although I didn’t bring in large items, I saw a sight that stated there is a $10 fee if your load is not secured, whatever that means… be advised they only accept cash! 💲💲
It’s a convenient dump site they take many recycling items free of charge including waste kitchen oil and waste automotive oil and coolant scrap metal (smaller things I tried dropping an engine there they don’t take those) batteries, light bulbs I’m probably missing stuff and of course trash their prices are clearly posted when you drive up to the small shed with an attendant waiting to see what you have they do not accept credit cards debit etc.
Over priced and workers are absolutely rude. There price hit you where it hurts. Not a fan will not be going their again. They over price for the convenience of it!!!
Because I took a regular size couch apart they charged me $74 for a sectional. If I would’ve left it together I would’ve got charged 30 bucks. No wonder why everyone hates these people.
My next payment due (which is an automatic payment method my husband and I set up) is due April 1st. I keep all receipts and invoices. They randomly come and pick up trash can and recycling can without any notice and when I called to ask where my cans were, I was informed to pay for the next month to get it back, even though next payment wasn’t for another month. This all happened this month and I have a household of 7 people. Completely unprofessional but they are the only trash company around so they know they can get away with abuse of power.
Recently, I visited recycle to recycle cardboard... Big sign said "Cardbord Full Don't Leave on Ground"... the dumpster next to it had an older lady on top...I asked her if that dumpster was full? She didn't she the sign... and the right dumpster was NOT full! Thank the Gods!! We try, as responsible citizens to recycle and recycle area is not responsible enough to help us help!!! WTF??
Great place to bring extra recycling, especially card board boxes and batteries. Make sure your load is secure before you drive here. Employees are helpful and nice. Positive attitudes are contagious. We have never had a problem here and we have been using this site as long as we have lived in Kitsap county (about 13 years). Convenient location.
Wonderful experiance! Great place to get frustrations out, family oriented and wholesome, the kids will enjoy it! I cant wait to plan my next family outing to the dump!
Primarily a recycling center, the recycling center is free to use for the items that are listed on their site. Normal things like glass, cardboard, scrap metal and other items.
I don't go regularly, but appreciate having a place to go to recycle items I would otherwise toss in the trash (that in good conscience should not go there). Never encountered any rudeness personally.
Awesome place to recycle cardboard, batteries or scrap metal. Good prices if you need to throw garbage too. Very scenic location with good pic opportunities when your leaving back to town.
Their prices are inconsistent. They also need to be educated on what is and what isn't an unsecured load. Take the time to go to belfair. They are friendly and they charge accordingly.
I had a had great experience. The lady was really nice. I saw a review that said he went to belfair because the lady here wasn't nice, I come from Bainbridge island because our lady isn't nice. I guess it's all perspective
Spend the extra gas and ride down to Belfair. They're cheaper and the people that work there treat you like customers and not plebeians. Seriously. That old lady with the glasses. 🙄
