My car got towed after I parked in a paid parking spot at my friend’s apartment complex which I had no idea it was. I was just trying to save up on parking money since I go to college and I don’t have a parking permit there. I had the most awful experience of my entire life. The guy there was so rude ( I think his name is Mike judging from other reviews) He ignores me and my mum when we ask questions in the beginning and when I proceeded to ask him what forms of payment they accept he said, “ I’m not talking to you four- foot nothing, I’m talking to her.” This was so uncalled for. I am aware I look younger and I’m also shorter but what does that have to do with payment methods?? My name isn't on the registered vehicle but I still deserve some respect and courtesy!! And worst of all they ask for 550$ which is absolutely ridiculous calling them storage fees and mind you my car was out in the rain in a backyard. I was just trying to get my car back but the company employee should honestly get fired. That comment was totally uncalled for especially towards someone who’s vulnerable and having a horrible day.
Edit: No I didn’t sneak the car out, my mum bought it for me for college!! I’m not upset that it was towed, that was my fault I didn’t know I couldn’t park there. My issue is with how I was treated trying to get it back. I was very polite at the beginning until he said that comment which was totally unnecessary. And I said I would write a review because of the comment you made not because I was threatening you to give me my car back, you’re twisting my words. I was literally trying to send my mum the money to pay that’s why I asked for payment methods!!
RUDE, RUDE, RUDE . The man that answered the phone was so rude and unkind. I just called to see what my tow bill would be when I arrived and he acted like he was upset that I was actually coming for my vehicle. I bet he was hoping to keep it and auction it off. The bill was as expected but he charged me $120 to tow it 5 blocks from the tow yard. What a rip off artist they are. I would NEVER recommend them for anything and hope your vehicle doesn't break down and get towed by them. If you have a choice pick any other tow company. AAA won't even deal with them because of all the disreputable things they do.
IN RESPONSE: First of all I was the owner of the vehicle NOT my parents. My vehicle was towed. I wonder how many people you treat this way if you are so confused as to which customer you are dealing with. Also, I don't have a boyfriend in jail. I have a husband who is not in jail. I don't think your response did you any good. I would have put you at ZERO stars if I could have. Especially now.
My son's car broke down on his way to school this morning. The police called for a tow truck, and Payless Towing promptly showed up. I asked if we could try jumping the car before towing it. The driver didn't even hesitate. He jumped my son's car and sent him to school, making him promise to work hard in school. Next time we need a tow truck, Payless Towing will be our first call. Thank you for being so kind to an anxious seventeen year old!

My experience with Payless Towing was great! Once my insurance carrier secured service with their company, Scott came out within 20 minutes. He was very friendly and professional. He's also super easy to talk & quite hilarious. Scott definitely has perfected his craft. He showed up to my house shortly after I arrived & got the car placed in the driveway in no time. I highly recommend Payless for your towing needs.
My car was having issues with the transmission, and I needed to pull over. Once I got connected with Payless towing, they were very clear and concise, and just overall Friendly.

The guy scott came out to initially tow my car but apparently I needed more antifreeze in car to be able to drive it away.Thankfully.Scott made a bad day turn out great by being personable,made me laugh,and was very pleasant even though I know he was tired and all and it took a while for him to figure out which parking garage I was in.
I will say if I need a tow he's a great person to have.

We were already having a rough day trying to get to our cruise when our vehicle suddenly broke down on I-5. Payless was the third tow company we called and they accommodated us when we were in a panic. Mike is simply a blessing. He not only picked up our vehicle but recommended the cheapest way to store at his secure location versus paying $250 more to tow during rush hour back to our mechanic. He was so accommodating and understanding of our situation and took one less worry out of a difficult situation. He also found an error in our insurance card VIN which was also helpful! Thank you so much, Mike.
This towing company is a complete nightmare. My car was towed from an apartment complex, and within less than 2 hours, they were demanding $770 to release it. That price is already outrageous, but it gets worse.
They insisted the payment had to be made in cash or Zelle only .That alone felt extremely shady and unprofessional. Then they had the nerve to add a 10% “tax” on top of it, which makes absolutely no sense . The whole thing felt like a scam.
To make matters worse, Mike, the supervisor, was incredibly rude. When I tried to ask questions and get clarification, he hung up the phone on me. No explanation, no patience, just pure disrespect.
This company clearly doesn't care about customer service or fairness. They seem to prey on people in vulnerable situations just to make a quick buck.
Amazing! They gave me a reasonable quote over the phone and were there within half an hour. Our driver Toby was so friendly, kind, and professional. They took very good care of me and my car!
My car wouldn’t start and the battery wouldn’t jump. I was T the gas station. I had called another company who quoted me 2x as much for a 2 mile tow. We called Payless towing and got a really good quote and Tony was there within 10 minutes. He got the car loaded and over to. our shop. He was so nice and made things so easy! When faced with a bad situation he made things so easy and no stress. I will use these guys in the future and I’ll recommend them to anyone!
There are only two reasons I gave a one-star review. Number one, which isn't entirely on the towing company, it's on my complex (Copper Creek). Anyone coming to my apartment complex does not know that there are indeed reserved parking spaces. It is unfortunate also that they don't post any signs on where your car can get towed to. There should be more clarification. Number two - Washington state law states that a towing company MUST have their charges and rates posted in their place of business, this is not the case. I feel a lawsuit coming on. As an added note, you should change your name. You are not PAY less. You have some of the highest prices in the region I have ever seen. Not taking away from the employees, they aren't rude or mean.
Update: I didn't say that the apartment complex needed the rates on their signs. I said Payless Towing needed the rates posted at their place of business. The night we went, you did not have any such sign posted. That's why 684 dollars was a surprise. I also wasn't venting, I was spelling it out for other people.

Again, I think there needs to be clarification. It is obvious that my review was not read entirely with understanding. I will reiterate in all caps: THE APARTMENT COMPLEX DOES NOT NEED TO POST PRICES OF THE TOW COMPANY WHICH I SAID IN MY RECENT UPDATE!
Also, it was dark, the sign (if there was one) was not visible enough and the gate was closed.
I called a few companies after hours and Payless had the best price. The driver Wayne who came to tow my son’s car is a stand up guy! He can hooked up my son’s car and we were off. Very professional compassionate and understanding. I recommend this company to everyone! My experience was wonderful and if I am ever stuck on the side of the road again I definitely will call Payless! Thanks!

Great customer service and best price in town!!! I called this company and got serviced within 30 minutes. They were fast and the price was affordable than all the other towing companies I called. I had 4 flat tires and needed a tow to a tire company. Got everything taken care of within 2 hours, thanks to them! I would recommend their service to anyone in need of towing services. 2 Thumbs up

The fact that i need help to get my car towed and go to shop immediately because i have no other ride to work the next day, this company came and rescue in a flash. I would say they are the cheapest of all in federal way. Not bad for $145, depends on your what vehicle you have. Make sure you call them and give them a 5 star too.
Honestly, this business deserves a zero star review! I came to bring my sister to pick up her car on 10/25 @ 12:28pm to find nobody was at the business to help us. We called the number to ask for assistance and the person who answered was rude and said to just wait they’ll be back. I called to follow up and was told they’re out for lunch and when I asked for an ETA they said five minutes but then he immediately was like you can just wait until 1:30pm. As we wait they pull in 5 minutes ok great . I asked for the workers name he refused and gave me his supervisor name was Mike. He sat there took his time and just sat in the car before actually helping us. He took our card we used for payment and sat in the car which we thought was odd. Why didn’t you take payment in front of us? It felt like they were stealing our information.This was one of the worst experiences and guess you shouldn’t expect much from a tow company but I’ve never experienced this with any other company. Worst experience overall! Worst customer service ever!
I think this business should be shut down PERMANENTLY, ripping off a couple of old homeless people by charging $66 a day, then getting really rude to my husband. it's no wonder this business is getting a very low rating. You charged us $1200 to get the truck out but did not tell us last month that we would be charged $66 a day for storage. How would you like it if you were getting ripped off? YOU JUST DONT CARE ABOUT RIPPING OFF A HOMELESS COUPLE.
Picked me and my tow truck off the side of the freeway. Was 3am they got there within an hour. I felt my truck was towed safely and secure. Would use them again for sure. And i refer ppl to them all the time.
My car broke down from a failed heater hose. Looked up tow services and payless towing popped up. I don't know why they're rated only 2.6 because I received 5 star service. Not only did Mike let me know how long it would take to get to me, but he also quoted the prices to me for both all wheel and two wheel drive. Something I wouldn't have known. He was upfront, professional and personable. Called me twice to make sure I knew he was on his way. He did an awesome job and I am very grateful. If the owner is reading this, get this man a raise. Not saying i want to see or need a tow truck all the time; but if i do, I'll be calling these guys. Thanks Mike and Payless Towing and Recovery.
