This company regularly miss the recycling and garbage pick up services. Online account information is inaccurate. Customer service on the phone is unhelpful. Monopolizing business at the worst case scenario.

I have never experienced such poor work ethic as to call out and refuse trash pick up because it's too hot, then go on strike. How ridiculous. What a way to say your job doesn't matter and the people don't matter. In the Midwest, it gets way hotter and way colder than it does here and everyone continues to work. It's hard enough trying to avoid trash pile up with the teeny tiny trash can Republic provides, and only pick up every 2 weeks. This is insane! People want to do as little work as possible for the maximum dollar.

The cashier ladies are not best seller. Google say is closed until 6:00 But I was a 4:30 and he cashier s screaming and bad mood Closed.

The hours for this location is Monday - Friday 5:00AM - 5:00PM. Closed Sat/Sun. The site stops accepting cash and hand unloading at 4:30PM. Google has the wrong hours listed and multiple requests for changes have been submitted.

I’m livid! My teenage son accidentally put garbage in the compost can and I called to let them know the mistake and I would pay additional for them to come empty it. They advised me to put a sign on top of the can label “trash” I did that and then come outside to this?! Absolutely Unacceptable! I’ve been a customer since 2017. I’m beyond pissed and disappointed to say the least.

Looked at this info page, it says they are open till 6:00 pm. I got there at 4:50 pm and the woman at the scale tells me they are closed. Huge waste of time. Never found out what time they actually close. Wish I read the other reviews first. Edit: I see they have responded to my review, but have failed to fix the problem.

I've been here 4 times in the last 3 years, and it has only been open 2 of those times. The hours online are not accurate, and the sign when arriving shows they are not open at all on Saturday even though Google says that are open until 2 and when I called Republic Services they said they were open until 3:30 today. I rented a U-Haul for a dump run and, thankfully, was able to go to Bow Lake who are actually open when they say they are open and have a number to call to confirm their hours.

Republic is our garbage service and we have not had our recycle picked up in at least 6 weeks. I called last week and they had no clue! I put my stuffed recycle can out today along with a box full of more recycle. It irritates me because we drag that big can out every other week and no pick up AND WE STILL PAY! Apparently Republic does not refund! I hate that we have no other choices, other than go to the dump every other week. Which we have been doing that too when they do not pick up!

I called Republic requesting our service be canceled because we have sold our house and will moving in 3 weeks. I requested a 3/31/18 cancellation. I have never had a harder time getting this done. The woman was argumentative and wanted me to call back on our CLOSING DATE to cancel. She actually said to me that I was to call back because “anything could happen”. I asked her like what” and she said the house may not sell. Are you kidding me? After some words I hung up thinking all was well and she called back requesting to speak to my husband! She had the same story for him (she was on speaker phone). She insisted on a forwarding address. We won’t have a final bill because we are paid up and she refused to use our current address. After all anything could happen. (We will eventually have a forwarding address but currently don’t.) I finally got angry and insisted to talk to her supervisor. She said the supervisor wasn’t currently available but I insisted on talking to someone. She quickly backed off and said she would put the request through. I am really hoping our cancellation happens as requested or I will be talking to a supervisor. As a customer I should not have to experience that kind of customer service. Shame on you Morany!

Over the past two years of service, I have had more issues then I care to mention. I have weekly trash pick up and almost monthly they don't pick up my trash at least one week. Then I go through all the motions to "place a missed pickup" online and then wait a couple days and call in. To this day, not one request has ever been granted and so I am stuck paying for a service that only gets honored when they feel like it. This has been one of the worst experiences with a company I have ever had. I feel stuck because they are the only company working this area, so I cannot choose other options. If you can avoid, DO NOT use this company!

Two weeks ago they said they couldn’t pick up our trash and recycle due to the snow…wasn’t given any credits and now they’re stating that due to a Union strike in another state they won’t be picking up for another 2 weeks…again while still charging us for a service they aren’t doing. Absolutely ridiculous. That’s a month + of paying them for NOT picking up our trash. They should be fined by the City of Renton.

Worst customer service! Not held accountable for their mistakes. Mostly likely from poor management. Wish another company would come take over. How do u skip a neighborhood 3 times. Especially after the holidays. 1st time is understandable 2nd and 3rd time no excuses. Management should be out their leading by example. Shows their level of care for their employees and for their customers. Guarantee no one in the neighborhood will be compensated for their inconvenience.

After a month of not collecting garbage or recycling in my area, I received a phone call today from Republic services stating they would not be able to complete pickup as scheduled. Pickup will be performed at the next scheduled pickup (two weeks from now). So that will be 6 weeks of no garbage or recycling. Republic, what "services" am I paying for?

These guys made my community go a month without having our trash picked up. When you only pick up garbage every 2 weeks and over charge for undersized cans in the first place, it's awful to deal with. A month with no garbage pick-up because of a bit of snow is awful. So they instruct people to leave double trash out, in a town where unhoused folks rummage through it frequently. I hope Republic Services management that made this decision will be out cleaning up the community they've neglected this holiday season. Municipal waste should be handled by the municipality, not a company focused on profit. Edit: apparently this company does business all over Michigan, I wonder how that works out if snow in this region shuts pick-up down for a month.

I just spoke with a representative from Republic Services. Our pick up is three days late for the second time. No reason and no explanation. The gentleman on the phone was rude and uncaring. He said the pick up would be the next day and I tried to explain that our road was going to be closed , it was not important to him. They missed our whole street and we only get service every other week. Awful customer service.

Terrible, incorrect info on Republic services part. They were awesome in correcting it and getting account back from collection agency, promised everything is paid off. Then turns out they tried to pass on collection agency fee though it was error on their part. Customer service is inconsistent, had awesome experience once but every other time it feels like they just want to get you off phone and does not care about customer service at all.

It would be ZERO if I could. If you try to Rate Republic Services as a whole there is no way to do that, so although this review is posted to Republic Services, (the dumpsite address), this review is for City Of Renton's contract with Republic Services. The company NOT the dump. I am not sure what is going on with the company, maybe it has become complacent because they have a contract with the City of Renton. My son is renting a townhome here in Renton, upon entering into the lease the landlord made it clear that he is responsible for setting up and maintaining an account with for garbage pickup. Seems logical, right? Well I don’t know whose asinine idea it was to make only the property owner responsible for this service??? Anyway, so now in order to deal with the company there is always the added layer of having to keep the landlord involved. Ok, now, we moved in on 10/1/2020. We called to set up service, we were told we could not do that. So, our landlord called in and set up the account. Mind you the property did not have service prior to us moving in, so there are no bins on site, so the landlord requests bins for us. The delivery people bring bins (the wrong ones) but take the neighbors bins thinking they are swapping them out??? No one told them to swap bins, so why would they do that? Anyway, so now we have customer service that says that the neighbor musts call herself to place a complaint and our landlord making calls for us. My son has the wrong bins, the neighbor has none, and we all have to wait because they can’t do anything for at least 5 more days???? The next week, they bring the wrong bins again…so now we are in the middle of October with no service. Finally, we get all our bins, our neighbor gets hers, everything seems ok. Meanwhile, my son gets a bill and being new to this “being an adult thing” he pays it right away, because he’s a responsible guy like that. Then a few weeks later, he gets another bill… seems the first bill was for 5/2020 to 9/2020 (when there was no service to this property) and the new bill is the bill for 10/1/200 for the next quarter???? Whaaaaaa???? Of course, when we call customer service, they have no idea, they say it must be from the previous tenant (who did not have service). We get transferred to the sales department, who also has no idea why this would have been done, we are told they will submit a request to the accounting department, and we will be contacted with 24-48 hours. We are not contacted, I call back…more of the same no one can do anything, no one can make changes accept accounting, who apparently does not exist except to take money! STILL UNRESOLVED! They owe us money now, but they are sending us bills???? As a consumer I do not believe that this type of business practice should be tolerated! If you are taking our money, then all business should be transparent, we should be able to speak with someone of authority directly to resolve our issues. Having a helpless customer service representative (who is sweet but who has no authority to do anything) is smoke and mirrors for bad business. If we are being held accountable for making sure we have our bills paid…then the same should be expected from the business, ESPECIALLY ONES THAT ARE UNDER CITY GOVERNMENT CONTRACT!

VERY IMPORTANT! Hours for Saturday says 2 but it really closes at 1:15 they're trying to adjust it on the websites- King county has it wrong as well. Gal was nice enough to let me in after 1 :30 - I'm trying to pass it forward and help them out. *Saturdays closed at 1 :15*

I like this dump, not like KC that tells you they don't take construction debris(what do you take?)... wear boots, they do not take electronics, and a few other things, mattresses cost extra, has a large dumping area makes it easy to be in and out. The people at the scales are great.

Shout out to our Republic Services garbage guy! Unbeknownst to me our garbage bin didn’t get put out this morning. We heard he truck pull up and then I saw a flash of yellow past our window. The garbage guy run up our (very steep) driveway to grab our bin and empty it! I am so impressed! Way to go the extra mile!

Online business hours shows open till 2, we show up at 1:15 and the lady at the gate in a very rude way tells us they are closed just as one car ahead us went forward. Told her business hours are till 2 and she just walks away on us. Terrible customer service. Unacceptable!! Need AI to replace disgruntled employees like these sooner!

They threw away two of our personal trash cans. What makes this worse is we get weekly medical supplies that adds up to a lot of waste unfortunately but now we are forced to use one single trash can. They left the trash lids tho... our landlord has been trying to get upgraded trash cans and recycling bin but we haven’t had a response from republican services. since we are down a trash can..., we left one single bag to the side of the trash can last night and instead of putting it in the garbage truck they put it back in our trash can. We have been taking our excess trash and recycling elsewhere. We will be reporting you to the BBB and the city of Renton.

Sympathetic people on the phone but the truck skipped half our cul de sac's garbage pick up and when a neighbor called to report all of our addresses the truck came back to get his garbage only. I've called 3 times since then and have been promised a pick up within the next 24 hours with no results. I have garbage piling up on the curb!

I would give a zero star review if I could. My trash was never picked up on the make-up date after the Snowmageddon of 2019. The recycling was picked up, but not my trash. It's now been 4 weeks since I've had my garbage collected. Yes, there was snow that canceled the routes for 2 weeks. But promises to make-up for the missed collections were not followed up on. I want a refund for the month of February. Also--I've sat on the customer service line, only to have my call picked-up and hung up on.

I've had need to call republic for pick-up of missed garbage and recycle collection many times this last year that they have had the contract with the city of Renton. The people who answer the phone are pleasant, and say they will contact dispatch; then the desired action from them is not forth coming. Their drivers are the same from when garbage service was through waste management, but the service is far below that previous level. Along with the lesser customer service, the cost has increased. I have to call on average no less than every month. I am very dissatisfied with the poor responsiveness of republic. If there was another practical alternative to using republic services, I would do so immediately.

I called to let them know they didn't pick my recycling up on 26th and the agent "lady" began to argue with me and then hung up on me. I waited 9 min to ask for another pick up and because our talk went to 5:04 they were closed. when I called back they were closed getting 0 results.

I have had nothing but problems with this company from day one. The cans are tossed in the alley and blocking traffic, my trash is not picked up yet and I have called 3 times once each day and I get different answers each time and they have put in emergency pick ups! Why ! Still not picked up. New cans were left on my front porch! The trash is in the back all of the blocks trash is in the back. Customer service is just lip service. I will be putting in a complaint with BBB and AG as I need this fixed! If there was a zero that would fit my service better. This is bad service over and over.
