Do not buy from here as they screwed us out of $280 on a Yamaha receiver. I never could get any sound out of the receiver and so 3 weeks later brought it back to diagnose. They stated they would call or email to let me know. That message never came and so 2 months later I called them. UpTekk stated they could not fix the receiver and and if I wanted to pick it up. I was even willing to pay them to try yo fix the receiver or obtain some store credit to get another receiver, but they refused. Apparently they operate in good faith and test all products before they are sold. I agree the percentages are very low that this would happen to one of their over the counter products, if they really test them. For that reason you think they would have operated in good faith as they should not get many returns, thus resulting in a fair profit margin. If they truly test their products before sale, then I have some bad luck. Stay away from the place that hides within the Facebook Marketplace.
I've been an ebay customer recently purchased a Lenovo dock that works great. I also dropped off a malfunctioning foodie ninja air fryer free of charge and a malfunctioning Canon printer for $5.(stated on website) The guy that helped us was really friendly and communicative of the fee for the printer.
Love having a place to take old/ broken electronics, but wish they had a weekend day open as it can be difficult making time during the week to come by.
Beware: THEY DO NOT TEST WHAT THEY RE-SELL. They ignored my eBay messages, emails and voicemails.
I bought a graphics card and a motherboard from them and the graphics card was defective. Instead of a refund I wanted to exchange for another motherboard.
I live in Portland and I asked if I could mail back the defective part and if they could ship the motherboard I wanted if I paid the difference minus the graphics card. They said “Yes. Just send an offer for the cost on eBay for what you want” They then REJECTED that offer even though I put in a message explaining the situation. I called back asking what gives, and they said “Submit another offer and I will take care of it”
Surprise. They rejected that offer too. I finally just drove back up to Auburn and I got the motherboard I wanted and drove home. Well, this motherboard is defective too. I am not driving back up to Seattle again so I am shipping it back and just filing a chargeback with my credit card company. Communication and quality control is severely lacking with this company. Will not be back.
We had to throw away big commercial dough mixer as engine basically got scrapped. They gladly took it with no charge. That mixer was very big and heavy, but they even loaded off from our trunk. Very helpful for most of normal households.
Uptekk is great. It's a recycling and refurbishing center. You can take them all your old broken electronics and can buy refurbished ones to replace them at a fraction of new cost. I just dropped off an old microwave and a desktop computer and bought a laptop and a flat screen tv.
I had some old speakers and box TV's that I needed to get rid of before moving. I came here and within 5 minutes, my car was empty and I was on my way. Would HIGHLY recommend!! I'll definitely come back if I find more electronics to recycle!
These guys are the best. There are items that used to be part of the states ecycle program that have been dropped. Uptekk still takes these items even though there is not much profit in them and in some cases no profit for them at all. I am grateful that there are still companies that put their communities first.
These guys are great. Excellent customer service. Brought in a truck load of metal, old weed eaters, car parts, propane tank and mattresses, and old electronics. They had me unloaded and on my way within 10 minutes.
I don't know who hires the staff at this place but I have ALWAYS HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE. Especially with the employees that help me unload my car. Kind and courteous help!!!
I haven't been yet. I have been looking for a place where I can fill my trailer with all sorts of things and get rid of it, all. One place with one stop I will see. I can understand what the gentleman said about they just re-sell for profit, I guess that I could spend the time and do that too. But if I can drop off a desk, computer other e-waste, maybe a refer and a/c unit, car parts, batteries, windows, tiles other construction debris and whatever else will fit, with some stuff is good, some stuff not. I will be 5 star happy.
Checked out the retail store. Not a lot of products and employee at front of store mentioned most of their stuff now goes on eBay. I inquired about a line of stereo receivers and asked if they had any for sale. He then said I don't think so, walked over to his computer and not another word from him while I was in the store. They may do a great job on eBay and it's probably a better venue for them to sell through. Missed opportunity in my mind to at least confirm if they had an item with a customer who buys a lot of hifi equipment.
Donated a broken TV. Great, prompt service. Met me at the car as I was getting out then they unloaded the TV and I was on my way after a quick signature. And they took it for free.
Recently purchased a projector screen, sink, video game consoles, games, a washer drier, a fan... let's just say I always shop here. Whenever I need an appliance, electronic device, or an inexpensive and well received gift... UpTekk is the first place I look.
A super great place to buy used computers and electronics. They're willing to work with you and have great customer service. It's like a toy store for electronics. If your looking for something specific this is a good place to check first. Along with their usual they get in a ton odds and ends that you can't really find anywhere else. It's fun to just stop in every once in a while and and check out what's found its way into the store.
Great items from low prices. These guys know what they are doing and have great customer service! Not only can you drop off almost anything to recycle but they have a store that you can walk into and look at refurbished electronics.
