Ala Cozy Motel in
Coulee City (WA)

We were stuck in a sudden snowstorm in rural eastern Washington. The cell phone reception was limited but I was able to get a call through to the Ala Cozy motel in Coulee City and a person answered! Not a phone tree but a super helpful person! They helped us get a room for the night out of the cold. We expected a semi crappy worn out motel unit but we’re SO SURPRISED! Ala cozy presented us with a lovely clean room-freshly painted -with great comfortable beds and good water pressure.There were several glitches in our quest but each time we hit a snag I was able to call in and get immediate friendly help. Thank you Ala cozy!!

They did a great job with the remodel. Rooms are clean and the layout is nice. Beds are very comfortable.

Awesome motel!!!! Loved the vintage vibe! The staff was super nice. If we are in the area I will definitely be back! For you horror fans, it's only missing the house on the hill to be the Bates motel!

Shard a room with a friend. For a local car show. Fresh paint inside and out. Room was very clean except some stains on the carpet. Bedding looked new and beds where very comfy. The only reason I did not give them a 5 is the way you book the room and no staff on sight. Spent 3 nights no new towels and never replenished the coffee

We really enjoyed the motel because it reminded us of the past. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We would stay here again. To be honest we were hoping for a scene from bates motel but it was great as it was. Didn't have any issues so not having anyone on location (like management) was not a problem.

Older place. Minor plumbing issues you could expect from an older motel. The bed was spot on. Very comfortable. Room was clean and we enjoyed cooking our breakfast right outside the front door. Very quiet for so close to busy road and gas station.

Nice enough place. Motel , so the entry is exterior. We showed up around 9:30 pm and entered the code into the lock. Nothing. Tried many times before calling the contact number. Turns out they sent us the right code, but for the wrong room. Went from room 4 to 5 and, it worked! Woke up to house keeping walking in to our room around 8:30am, since there is no secondary door lock, just the electronic handle. Nice enough room, though.

Cute and quaint Americana style motel. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Service was outstanding.

We enjoyed our stay the only thing that we would of liked bigger bathroom with a bigger shower and countertop in the sink area other than that no complaints would come back for sure!

The rooms are clean and well appointed. The gas station next door is well-stocked and has pretty good food.

I liked my stay here quite a bit. Booked the room day of/on the road and it was incredibly easy and seamless. The room had some wear from age, namely on the floors and one of the chairs, but you can tell a lot of care is still being put into updating the rooms. The sheets and the beds were clean and really comfortable and I liked the option and layout of the queen/twin combo, the whole layout felt very cosy. Also the twin was right under the ac so 10/10 if you're a hot sleeper or need white noise. They set out chocolates and popcorn for us in addition to the usual coffee, and had nice hair stuff in the bathroom. Extremely solid motel, not for fancy people, very much for me :)

I wish there was somewhere else to stay in Coulee City but there isn't. The room smelled musty. Carpet was stained. Lights didn't work BUT I will say the bed was extremely comfortable and parking was easy.

We enjoyed staying at the Ala Cozy Motel in Coulee City, WA. The room was perfect for us, clean, well stocked with daily needs and quiet. We will stay here for our family reunion next year. Thank you!!

Even at what seems like a low cost of $100.67 for one night, this was by far the worst and most overpriced stay we had during a month long road trip across the American West. Liked · *If you really have to stay overnight in Coulee City, at least there's this lodging option *The woman in an undisclosed location who took our payment info over the phone was nice enough *Somehow these folks managed to find a local phone book, which we didn't know even exist anymore! Disliked · *No on-site manager or rep *Dirty bathroom with greasy ring around the tub *Horrible shower water pressure *Dirty refrigerator and freezer with frozen-in leftovers *Gross stains on carpet *Dirty microwave with leftover popcorn grease *Old beat up furniture and a ripped up armchair *Mushy undersized bed (not queen!) with truly gross polyester sheets *Crazy noisy air conditioner *Only ventilation in bathroom was a tiny window with a taped together screen No idea who's leaving all these rave reviews, but they can't be legit. Also, I tried to post a review to Booking.com where we found this hot mess, but as so often happens, their system suddenly crashes when you try to leave a negative review there.

We booked due to good reviews and grat location bear Grand Coulee. Although it appears to be n early 60's motel on the outside, we were very happy with the inside! The room was exceptionally clean , and the A/C was great. The bed was very comfy, and we literally heard nothing from passing traffic or the neighboring unit. There are a few cosmetic issues, but I have been to several more visually appealing sites on our trip that could learn a lot about customer service and preparing to care for the needs of a weary traveler! The Ala Cozy is under new management, and it's obvious they know the clientele! Well done! If I am ever in the area again, I WILL BE BACK!

Went on a road trip to the Scablands and it was the perfect place. Close to Dry Falls and conveniently located on the way to Steamboat Rock. Unit 1 was at the corner so I had privacy and the separate living room from the bedroom was a welcome change from the usual hotel/motel.

This was the perfect location for our family because part of our family was camping at Steamboat Rock State Park only 20 minutes away. The motel is older with less than perfect furniture carpet etc but the beds were very comfortable. My husband didn’t like it as much as I did. There’s no staff onsite but anytime I had questions the toll free line answered my texts right away.

We were surprised that for the price that we paid. This was a fantastic place to stay if there is a way to turn the TV up a little bit louder cause the air conditioner is on and made it hard to hear. I would recommend this place good location.

Simple, clean and comfortable accommodations. We were looking for a base camp to stay in that was affordable and safe. This is a great place for our needs here and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Management is very polite and responsive. Air conditioning works great, wifi and streaming comes with the room. Next to gas station and a couple eateries.

It was perfect for us, since we want to be between the Grand Coulee Dam and Ephrata. The management whether in a text or a personal phone call made me feel secure in asking an array of questions. We are planning to return and look forward to seeing the changes they will make. Everything a traveler needs was provided. A comfortable bed, plenty of towel, and tv with more channels to choose from.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with these folks. I've never encountered a contactless property and had a bit of trepidation. That was all put to rest in dealing with the owner. I was able to contact them via text freely without any delays. When I knew that I might get there a bit early, I sent a simple text from my car and was advised quickly I could check in a bit earlier. The room was very homey feeling with nice touches that you don't often see these days. Even had Orville Redenbacher popcorn in the room. Nice late-night snack. Very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. I had an opportunity to meet the onsite manager and found her to be very personable and down to earth. These are real people and a real pleasure to be around. I can highly recommend this place to everybody looking for inexpensive accommodations near the Coulee dam.

The surprising part of this place is 3 beds room, one queen and two twins. What a simple need but so hard to find in any types hotels for 3~4 people with teens family. Also the separate room space is another rare find. Why is not 5 stars, few pet peeves, like a malfunction main light which is a ceiling fan light fixture. Fan works but no light. The coffee machine is another item that may be forgot to clean. Overall, a Good gem and lovely have this place in Coulee City for traveler.

This is a basic motel. We went to the nearby Dry Falls - Sky Lakes park for a walk in a beautiful place while we were there. We were concerned when we arrived to see a number of large trucks in the parking lot, but didn't hear them leave during the night.

It was fine for the price. Very small shower. Pillows were a little hard. It was clean and a great location to all the surrounding lakes. Place next door for good. Very easy check in. Great response from the company when I couldn't locate my email for door code

This hotel is located right on the hwy of 2 with a gas station/convenience store. And has semi truck parking. It’s an older place but this is just the cutest little hotel that we have stayed in for a long time. ? it gives you the feeling of home and the bed was awesome comfortable. There’s a coffee pot and they leave you popcorn too? It’s all done remotely by a nice lady named Amanda she was great ! she also helped us find restaurants to eat. If we ever come through Coulee City WA again we will definitely stay here again.

Ala Cozy is a gem. It recently changed ownership/management. This place is clean and charming. Our unit had 2 bedrooms so we were able to spread out. It's pet friendly. There was a microwave and small refrigerator. My favorit thing was the ROKU tv. We were able to sign into our account and watch BritBox. ||Good location for exploring Grand Coulee Dam and Dry Falls State Park.
