Highly recommend these guys! After installing my own breaks and having issues I brought to the professionals to get it done right. Fully expecting a large bill with new break pads and calibers they simply reinstalled them correctly, informed me parts were just fine, and Explained what I did wrong. They could have easily charged me full price for all new breaks and I would not have had a clue and paid without question. From here on out they will definitely be my first call for all future car problems we have. Thanks guys for your hard work and honesty. It’s much appreciated!!!
My husband and I found ourselves in pretty dire straits when my car broke down on the freeway. We made it partway down the off ramp and then it absolutely died. Two very kind gentlemen stopped and helped us push it to the side of the road. Then one of them gave us a ride to Kalama Auto Supply.
Troy, the owner, was exceptional. He was able to diagnose the problem, acquire the parts and install the new alternator by the next day and we picked it up the following morning. The price was extremely reasonable. He also helped us with getting a tow truck, directing us to an outstanding car rental and his bookkeeper was kind enough to drive us a fair distance to the agency!
If we lived closer to Kalama, we would use this repair shop exclusively. They have certainly earned our trust and gratitude.

Had some car trouble that led to us broken down just down the street from Kalama Auto Supply on our trip back to Seattle from Portland. They were super accommodating and fit us right in + fixed the issue we were having. Everyone we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! 10/10
They fixed our breaks. They called and gave my husband the total. $1,100. We were barely able to scrape that up. I get to the shop and he tells me that was before tax. WHY WOULD YOU NOT GIVE THE ACTUAL AMOUNT DUE!!! Now we are totally screwed… all because he didn’t tell us the actual total. I won’t go back!!! Total was $1,217.35.
Service with integrity. Had an unexpected check engine light come on while traveling down to Portland today. Also had a check tire pressure light come on. The combination was stressful since I was planning to go another hundred plus miles to the coast. Decided to pull off interstate five at Kalama and while heading towards the Chevron in hopes of finding a place that had the code reader, came across Kalama Auto Supply and Repairs. It's an unassuming building but don't be fooled by the humility of appearance: the service here was outstanding. Lee immediately snagged his code reader checked for me and explained the code, cautioning me not to be fooled by the use of the word "catalytic" in the description of the problem. Explained it how to do with the exhaust system rather than the catalytic converter and put my mind at ease that the car would not explode within seconds of ignoring the code. Listen, the mine goes to all kinds of panic and doomsday scenarios when your beloved car is involved and it's a road trip. He cleared the code for me and told me to keep an eye out to see if it came back on at which point I could take necessary action, but he also did the courtesy of nabbing a tire gauge and checking the tire pressure to endure my mind was it ease about The light that had come on regarding tire pressure.
He mentioned that they were booked solid for a couple of weeks, and given the level of service I received including the straightforward education about what's going on with my car, I can see why. As far as I'm concerned Kalama is really lucky to have this shop as a community business. I hope never to have to visit it under the same circumstances again, but I think it's worth telling everybody: if you ever need to stop here, you will receive a level of customer service and respect that's comparable to the best I received anywhere in the country.
Troy and Kalama Auto Supply are the BEST in the game! All-star service. I will never let my vehicle get intercepted anywhere else. They never fumble the job and are even more reliable than the Lions losing. Thank you thank you thank you!! Seriously, it’s the best spot around.

Very knowledgeable, very helpful and can get parts quickly. Competitive prices but alot of the time less expensive than cost less. Troy and Lee are great!!!
7 years ago I moved to Kalama and started taking my vehicle and family vehicles here. Troy and Lee have always been friendly and honest. The mechanics do great work at fair pricing.
It’s always been hard for me to trust a mechanic shop, but Kalama Auto Supply has truly been the only one. I usually don’t write reviews, but they have been so great to my family and I, I felt they deserve this review.
The reason I trust them is because there have been a couple specific times I brought my vehicle in the past for issues, and they gave it back to me with a simple, quick and cheap fix. They had an opportunity to make up another reason that was wrong with my car that would have cost a lot more, but they are not looking to overcharge or nickel and dime. They just want to provide the right service and fix. That’s why they always keep busy. Honest work.
A couple years ago I moved out of town to Vancouver, but I still bring my family vehicles here, even for basic oil changes because of the great service they provide.

The guys who work here are always super nice, and better yet, trustworthy. I go to them for almost all my car needs. They take care of my cars issues swift and efficiently. Their prices are fair. We have taken my old Mazda CX 9 to Kalama auto for about 5 years. I appreciate the honesty about what needs to be done and what doesn't. My husband feels comfortable having me take it in. He knows they won't upsell me! I've always had quick service and honest prices!!
On this past Labor Day we were southbound on I-5 en route to Portland to spend a few days there. Near Kalama, something in the roadway hit the front of our car very hard and so we exited at the next offramp to check for damage. There, on the side of the road, we found coolant pouring out from the bottom of the radiator.
Nearby we stopped at a truck stop/gas station to ask about a nearby repair shop before all the fluid was gone and we'd have to be towed. We were told about Kalama Auto Supply and Repair that was only a couple of miles away.
We drove cautiously to the shop only to find them closed for the holiday. We decided to leave our vehicle at the shop, write them a note detailing our issues, leave the key in the drop slot and arrange for a ride share to pick us up to take us the rest of the way into Portland.
There was a lot of uncertainty in this decision! However, the next morning (Tuesday), we received a call from the shop that put all of our fears at ease. We were told what the likely extent of the damages were, what the estimated cost of repairs would be, that the parts could be obtained and the repairs could likely be completed by end of business Thursday. This was fabulous news since our hotel reservations had us departing Portland on Thursday.
True to their word, at about noon on Thursday, we were informed that the repairs were completed. This was very happy news for us!
While the damage sustained was unfortunate, our experience with Kalama Auto Supply was the best! If you are in or near the area, and need your car serviced or repaired, these guys are awesome!
I highly recommend Kalama auto supply and repair. They were able to look at my car immediately whereas the other places I called wouldn't be able to look at my car for about 2 weeks. They were polite and they had my car running again in less than 30 minutes. They were reasonably priced also. I felt very comfortable with the service and I will continue to have them as my mechanic even though I live in Longview Wa. It's worth the drive to Kalama to get good service. ?
I live on one of the steep hills in town my tire was flat by the time I got into town i stopped in here with my 2 out of 3 kids almost in tears asked if they could change my tire on my explorer for my spare ehich they did. They were friendly and made sure we were safe. I'll definitely be coming back to them.
This is an HONEST SHOP! Courteous and honest, this place should be on your list for that "second opinion" before you sign for work somewhere else. I had a tire almost blow out on the freeway, no tire iron to fit the change, and this place helped me get the spare on just in time to get me on my way.
Honest, dependable, and very knowledgeable staff who are happy to help and always give good advice. Reasonable prices and a surprisingly complete inventory for a place this size. I have been a customer now for nearly 20 years now and have never had a bad experience and I think that says a lot!
This is my go-to place for both service and supplies. They do very good work and are fair in pricing, saving me from dealership high pricing and unnecessary work.
They extend themselves to be helpful in urgent situations. Most important of all, I trust their advise and workmanship.
Heading to eugene or and wipers stopped working looked up repair place and stopped in to see if they could fix it they came right out and fixed it. Asked him what do we owe him be said no charge. Great place!!!
Heading to Seattle from Portland in the poring rain; we couldn't see well because our wiper blades were so bad. We looked up closest auto parts store and called to ensure they carried wiper blades. The gentleman on the phone said yes they did, and inquired as to if we were coming to purchase some. He informed me that he had closed an hour and a half earlier, but asked how close we were to the store. We were 5min out and so he said he would wait for us and pull them off the shelf so they would be waiting for us. We walked in and made the purchase and then he even offered to install them for us!! Excellent service! Good old fashion business courtesy.
Very good work and stand behind their work. I can send my wife in with the car and she will tell them to fix whatever needs to be fixed and I don’t have to worry about them fixing items that aren’t broke or padding the bill. Very trustworthy and have been using there service for about thirteen years.
My daughter was traveling back to Seattle from Portland and called me and said her car was making a strange noise. Being so far away in Yakima I did not know what to do, so I called Kalama Auto Repair and had her bring the car to them, it was 20 min before closing. They checked it out and found her lug nuts were loose, tightened them and sent her on her way. NO CHARGE!!! Thank you for saving her life! If she had continued her trip to Seattle and lost a wheel god knows what would have happened. These guys are angels!
