I’m usually not one to give reviews, but the way they do business there is just downright dishonest and rude. Had my engine sitting there for months and kept giving me the run around saying it’ll be done in two weeks. He told me that same line for a good couple months straight. Long story short I ended up being forced to pay 850.00 for a torn apart engine and a cheap rebuild kit. Definitely do not recommend.
Called ahead to confirm their business had the vehicles we needed parts from - On arrival, let us know where to find specific vehicles in yard, only to come several minutes later cussing and acting out of character saying we damaged customer vehicles and we needed to fix it. Not once on arrival or on the phone was this specified or acknowledged. Because of this, we were charged $100 and told to grab a harness to replace on a customers vehicle the following day, and could not leave without giving a photo of identification in case they wanted to file legal action against us. I will ensure none of my acquaintances or peers stop by this business, to save them the unnecessary embarrassment and disrespect that I (19 year old female) had to face today. Completely unprofessional and shocking to deal with. Maybe look into therapy before looking into another car.
We were broken down at the Wine Country RV park on a Saturday.
We called Dave trying to get a serpentine belt and water pump replaced. He sent Jaime and Manny to our rescue early Monday morning.
After a second trip back for parts they had our truck up and running. We are truly grateful for these three folks.
I actually really like this place and have only trusted them with my car, however this last repair has taken almost 3 months. I do understand they are working on it just wish there was better communication and more accurate time line of when my vehicle will be ready. Don’t seem to understand (on my end) what is taking this long.
A couple years back I had the whole rear differential replaced on my truck here. They were helpful in finding me a used one and getting in shipped to their shop. Had it ordered and replaced in about a week. Thank you! I've recommended you guys to everyone I know.
Needed my 5 speed transmission adapted to fit an old engine. Another shop did shoddy work. HiWay Auto repaired it and adapted so it performs better than new. Saved me money and did the job right the first time.
Me, (and also my mother and daughter) have been taking our vehicles to Hiway Auto for many years. There is a reason we have been going there for so long...Dave's shop is the best! I have 2 personal vehicles and 2 vintage trucks--so I speak from experience that they are honest, fair, efficient, excellent mechanics and just a straight up fantastic bunch of folks :)
The gentleman and the woman that I talked to were bossy and rude. All I wanted to know is if they had a 82-92 sbf timing cover and they wouldn't tell me cause I didn't have my cover with me to compare it. I said I would buy both versions, take them home, and figure it out there since It was a 45min drive home. They told me to get lost.
