My experience with this towing company was extremely disappointing and raises serious concerns about their business practices. I was physically present before the tow truck driver even hooked on to the car. I was standing there while the tow truck driver was preparing to take my vehicle. I repeatedly asked to be able to take my car and was denied.
My car was forcefully taken, the driver should have got out of my way and let me have my car and then charged for an uncompleted tow fee. Instead, I was denied that option and told that the vehicle would be taken to the lot regardless of my presence and against my will. This felt forceful, intrusive, possibly illegal and unreasonable, as I was right there and wanting to move the car immediately.
I arranged a ride to the tow company's office, which was within two hours to retrieve my vehicle. By that time, the company had already added storage charges and raised the total amount owed to over $500. I was told very directly and firmly that the price would continue to increase the longer I waited, creating pressure to pay on the spot. When I asked for any type of reduction or fair adjustment given the circumstances, the company refused. There was no willingness to work with me, even though the timeline was short and I had been present before the tow truck driver even hooked up the car.
What makes this situation especially concerning is the lack of reasonable options given to the consumer. Expecting someone to “beat the truck” to the lot in order to avoid extra fees is not practical, and in most cases would require unsafe or unlawful driving. Denying me the chance to take my vehicle back while I was standing there, then adding hundreds of dollars in fees in under two hours, demonstrates a system that prioritizes maximizing revenue over treating people fairly.
This aggressive and unethical practice calls into question the business practices of the company. The issue is that there never should have been a tow with me physically standing there trying to take possession of my own car. Towing companies should not be allowed to keep this kind of practice going.
The absence of any flexibility, and the refusal to provide a reasonable resolution even when it’s warranted. Customers should be fully informed of how this business handles situations before they ever find themselves in a similar position. This situation still merits some kind of a correction.
I'm you started in business with good intentions of customer satisfaction and quality service, but greed took over. Just another predatory towing company.
Got my car towed and wouldn't let me get my personal items out and couldn't take the car out of gear or release the park break. Damaged my bumper broke my skid plate and damaged my transmission and messed up my alignment. The guy towing my car wouldn't let me take pictures and told me to go do something else. Over charge the legal impound fees for storage and after hour release, can check by reading RCW 46.55.11, RCW 5.86.220, and RCW 46.55.063. They went well over the 135% max for a class A tow truck. And the rate card is out of date it is dated 01-30-2024 but the new rates for the state became effective April 21st, 2025 and I was charged by the old rate. When I talked to dispatch they said to get a car towed where I was at that i would have to go through management but on the weekends management isn't at the buildings. I went in to talk to management on Monday they said they had no calls and the tenets don't have permission to get a vehicle towed with out going through management. My car was illegally impound and I am definitely going back for the $651.11 for rad towing illegally towing my car and when they over charged state maximum. Hoping to get my money back for illegal tow and them to pay for damages to my car. Wouldn't recommend due to damage, overall service and illegal impound.
(You're incorrect about a notarized letter. I called three times asking for alternatives to a 10 hour road trip. Each time I was told the only way to retrieve the vehicle was to show up in person with an ID. Maybe your dispatcher's dont know this. I wish i would have written down their names.) My son's car was towed on a Friday. He tried to pick it up early Saturday. They wouldn't let him recover it because the car was in my name, I'm his father.The car is his, he makes the payments but i helped him with a loan when he was 16 yo. They demanded I drive up from from Oregon, (10 hours round trip) and show them my ID. They wouldn't let me send them an email scan of my ID. They wouldn't accept my son's insurance form with his name, address VIN number. RAD towing made this transaction so inconvenient. Unbelievable!! Plus they charged my son $1074 for a hook up and storage for 24 hours. Ridiculous! I called around to some of the local towing companies in Kennewick. They charge $400 for a hook up and $50 per day. Also they said they have no problem accepting a scan copy of a DL or written note from the person on the title. I know RAD towing are operating within the guidelines of the law but can't you have a little compassion on us?? Why make me drive 10 hours to show my ID to your rep who literally looked at it for 10 seconds and handed it back. Didn't even ask for the registration. Uggggg Im giving you three stars because your driver,dispatcher, and agent were courteous.
Watch out for this place. Charge $700 for a tow. Wife parked in a spot that we shouldn't have. (Our bad). But to tow a car 3 miles and and impound it for a few hours is $700. When you ask about the prices and everything it turns into a giant mixed lie about what happened. Lesson learned I guess but just so everyone knows I wouldn't use this company. I think RAD stands for Ripoff and Deceive.
Rad towing has towed me multiple times,always good! This time 10 minutes from the time of dispatch to arrive at my truck very fast,the Driver Ryan was GREAT impeccable driving!

We asked for a tow from the highway near cbc (literally across exit B12 going on 395north) to the auto zone near court street In pasco. It wasnt even 5 minutes away and they charged $130… we originally asked to go to the autozone in Kennewick but because we are low income college students we asked if we could go to the autozone around the corner for cheaper the guy towing said “yeah itll be cheaper” and as soon as he brought the car over the price didnt even change…
The car broke down again a couple days later and went with a different company. from the fairgrounds in kennewick all the way to firestone by the mall was $80 and the guy only took 15 MINUTES to get to our house to pick up the broken down car this place took 1.5 HOURS…
THIS PLACE IS A SCAM find somewhere better.

I'm sorry about your experience. My only question is did you call during normal business hours or after hours? After hours will always be more money and the response time is never as good. Someone has to be pulled out of bed to respond and it does cost a little more and take a little longer.

False advertising on their website. Says "$80 within 10 miles. Must mention our webpage to get this preferred pricing." But what they don't tell you is you have to mention that webpage WHILE ON THE PHONE with dispatch, NOT when the tow driver arrives. There is absolutely NOTHING on their website that specifies this crucial detail. An additional $54 added on when the tow driver told me the cost to tow. $54 stolen from me by this business.
100% false advertising. Dispatcher offered zero remorse when confronted afterwards. Told me "It says call for more details below." Unbelievably terrible customer service and business practice. Pathetic way to treat a customer.
Dante was prompt and fast. We waited for another tow company that didn’t show up for 3 hours. We called and they showed up within a half hour. Great and friendly service.

So imagine to yourself, your 16-year-old daughter wrecks your wheelchair van, your only mode of transportation, independence, and ability to get out into the community to do all your volunteer work and take care of your family. Welp, this happened to me, 1st accident of my entire life. Very scary, pretty traumatic, and again....scary. We are both transported to the hospital with back injuries and my wheelchair van is left in the parking lot. I call my insurance company and ask for emergency roadside assistance. They dispatch Rad Towing! Okay, these guys were simply.... AMAZEING! They told me what to expect every step of the way. How in the world was I going to get my electric wheelchair home? Well, they took care of that! How was I going to....yes they took care of that! During a very scary time, they were there 1000% for me. "CJ" talked with me, was able to calm me down, showed such compassion and understanding for what I was going through. I highly, highly, highly recommend Rad Towing. They were so very wonderful in such a scary time. Thank you so much for helping me!
On the upside, yes, they came promptly to tow our car.
On the downside, every time I called to see if our car was taken to the collision center it was still at their yard.
They also told me they only took a check or cash - and didn’t work with invoices from insurance companies. Ultimately, we had a multi-phone line conversation with our insurance agent. I had to use a CREDITCARD over the phone to pay them. They wouldn’t accept an invoice from our insurance…
Long story short - OVER $1000. Later

AMAZING PEOPLE!! CJ and Michael went out of their way on a Sunday to help our stranded fifth wheel in the middle of no where when three other towing companies told us “it wasn’t worth there time.” They called in resources to make sure we were back on the road after a horrific double blowout. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Nice to work with a company who still believes in providing good old fashioned customer service!!!
Lenchieo was awesome. He kept me updated on his ETA, and quickly got my car to the repair garage. He even gave me, my son & our groceries a ride home. Rad Towing definitely has me for a repeat customer.
Auction details are full of lies. Claims jeep runs and drives, motor doesnt run has timing chaim that skipped multiple teeth, motor mount had no bolts and they tried to cover up leaks with rtv. Would not trust details in auction
Called to get my Tesla towed (which is usually challenging to find someone who will tow them) and within the hour, Jade came out and was professional, and efficient. Very kind in a very frustrating situation. I was impressed with how he maneuvered the large tow truck up the private drive, and was able to back it in, and place my car perfectly in the garage. I also appreciate RAD having digital payment/paperless, so we aren't standing in the cold filling out things by hand. All around an excellent experience with Jade & Rad Towing. Ive had this car towed several times, and Ive never had such a seamless experience.

Mark was awesome!! Very helpful with a pleasant attitude and respectful to my vehicle as to prevent further damage. He was the hero of the night when my brakes on my C-class econoline motor home seized up and I went sliding into the ditch off the highway and collided with a street sign. A pole from the sign went through the storage bin on the bottom and got stuck. Mark took care in getting the sign untangled from the vehicle, me out of the ditch and gave instructions on what to do in a very kind manner, being understanding of my state of panic and unclear thinking, instead of making me feel stupid or like I was a bother to him like other tow drivers have done in the past. He was quick and efficient while putting safety first as well. Thank you Mark, you truly did make my night better. A little spendy but worth the time and effort for sure.
Pretty quick service. I needed a non-starting car to be towed across town to my mechanic shop. Provided GPS coordinates and license plate number. Had good communication starting with dispatch and ending with Michael (the tow hauler), from pickup to drop off. Nice job with an emailed receipt for the insurance company.
Great communication! Michael arrived when he said he would, got my vehicle loaded right up (needed the dolly because my vehicle wouldn’t go into neutral) and explained the process of how he would drop it off at the dealership for repairs and sent a photo of it delivered. I appreciated the ease after the stressful situation of breaking down. Would highly recommend!
Mark was excellent. Repair shop was refusing to accept vehicle and Mark quickly called me to let me know. I conveyed to him that the insurance company had secured the appointment and gave Mark the details. He went back in to repair shop and still met resistance. He then took the initiative to call insurance company so that he could successfully deliver the vehicle. Thank you Mark!
Although i missed their callback the first time, Michael left a text so i could stay in contact for them to deliver their service efficiently. I am thankful he was able to help in any way possible throughout the process. Communication is key, they nailed it.
Mark at RAD Towing was amazing. Great communication, arrived earlier than ETA, quick and incredibly competent. Mark then waited with us until our taxi arrived, and followed up w photos of the tire damage he noticed when he delivered our vehicle to the shop. Above and beyond my normal experience w being towed. I would highly recommend if you’re ever stranded in the TriCities.
Timely, cost effective, and friendly employees define my experience with Rad Towing. Being from Colorado, and in a pinch breakdown on the interstate, the only option I had was to go with the raddest company available. I am glad that the choice company was Rad Towing, the driver's hard working ethics alone were enough to relieve some of the stress from the troublesome day that I had. Other than great service, key points of my experience included quality equipment and knowledgeable employees who care about the customer. Knowing the tough situation I was dealing with, the driver didn't mind cutting a deal for the out of pocket payment I had to front until reimbursement (AAA just wasn't cutting it with the 5 hour wait). Seriously, make the RIGHT choice and go with Rad Towing when it really hits the fan, you will not regret the decision.
Mark was awesome! He was quick, friendly, and professional. He was able to quickly hook up to the car and towed it to our house. He backed the car into the driveway and then left with a wave and a smile. I was very impressed with the level of service.
Justin was super professional and did a great job, he took good care of my vehicle and make a horrible evening of my Jeep breaking down to at least in as much as it is possible a good experience. It could have been an even more unpleasant experience. I highly recommend Justin I wish I could give him more than 5 stars!! If you need a tow or any of their other services I would give these folks a call. Reasonable rates, great response time and A+++ service!!

Knowledgeable staff that treated my vehicle with care and professionalism. Even when I parked in an unauthorized space at my son's apartment complex and was towed due to my lack of paying attention to posted signage the dispatching staff still treated me with respect. I was totally at fault I assumed since the space was uncovered and a majority of the spaces appeared to be the covered parking. The attendant was very compassionate and offered up some key education so I would never again mistake a reserved spot.

Oh my goodness! Richard at Rad Towing was simply the best! I had to have my car towed last night, which was a new experience for me, and it was so easy! It was 91 degrees out and so when Richard showed up right when he said he would I was very grateful. He helped me walk through figuring out where we’d tow my car to and then set to work getting the job done. He said “Ma’am” quite a bit which always amuses me as I don’t feel old enough to be called that but it was very sweet. He was so polite and courteous even though my nerves were a hot mess. A Kennewick police officer had responded and he also recommended Rad Towing so I was very comfortable in using them. If I ever need a tow again, I’ll definitely call Rad Towing!
My car started liking oil the compression oil light went on in the middle of no where! My insurance tried to look for a towing company and no one wanted to assist until RAD agreed to help. Mark the driver was super helpful! He kept us informed of every step and brought our car back home in a timely manner. I strongly recommend RAD
