Charged a fair price for a tow. Driver was professional and courteous.
Asked for truck with room for three, I had my wife and daughter with me when I broke down. Truck only had room for one. Had to walk a mile with my two year old daughter to meet them at the repair place.
Asked what the ETA was, was told as soon as possible, that turned out to be about an hour. I would have liked to know how long I'd be waiting.
If I knew I'd have to wait an hour just to end up walking, I would have looked for a different towing company. This is not at all a poor reflection of the driver, this is entirely on the front office, and the woman who accepted this job for being unclear about timeline and promising a vehicle they couldn't provide.
If I could give it the zero star rating, it would be perfect instead of 1.
This place is terrible for repairs, they have no coherence or clarity with their words, they change the parts of the cars or they tell you to change them and it is a lie that they want to charge you excessively dearly even without having repaired your car, a real disaster is not recommended, pure scam is not recommended and they threaten too.
I've taken my car here twice. Each time the work was done quickly and correctly for an excellent price, comparatively. I hate needing to go to a mechanic, but it's nice not having to worry about shady or unskilled mechanics. Also the towing was great, same as last time. This shop is an easy choice if you need work done right while keeping both arms and legs.
I've thought long and hard about something.
I will never use nor ever refer anyone not even my worst enemy to use or take their vehicle to codys auto in winchester..
6 weeks later and,
$1000 and the problem is still there. Was quoted 890 and they claim to have "cleaned wires" was the explanation of their upcharge with out consulting me. Over the spread of the 6 weeks while calling for updates and answers there were excuses each time thay they had not diagnosed it they can't find the problem or they had no idea they'd find out the answers and call me back, which they didn't. For days.
If ur the type to want updates progress reports on the status don't bother u call and get the ring around 1 person told me we were waiting on a programmer 2nd person claimed I needed a tranny 3rd person and owner claimed it was on a test drive and getting in gear.
I got these answers at about 6 weeks of going without a car.
I have a 1 yr old

And don't get me wrong ik people have gone thru this and some may have it worse not looking for those comments jus ranting .major unprofessionalism shit work and they will change the bill around and jus act like that's jus how it is and there is nothing the client can say.
BTW I pick my car up n I couldn't even make it to the stop sign 500ft from the shop!
Needless to say I forced myself not to explode and called them to tow me to my house.

Very bad experience. My company took my car to be repaired. They had it for a month and were never able to solve the problem. I took it from that place to another one and in 1 day my car was on the road running again
Unfortunately had a negative encounter with one of the towing employees, named Travis. Was unaware sticker was placed on the car for towing. However, I went over and asked him nicely if I could have my husband move the car. He said as long as he was here in 15 minutes. He didn’t wait 15 minutes, he acted like he was still continuing to take it. However I stood in front of the car because my husband was almost there to move it. He wasn’t friendly or nice at all. It’s almost like he was on edge or guard, maybe from previous experiences but unfortunately kindness goes along way. I know he has a job to do but I was handling it. I think he genuinely likes to see people in those situations, maybe his life is bored at home. He also proceeded to speak to a neighbor about MY car, which I felt was out of line. I offered to pay although they didn’t take the car, and he said “cash” this is 2024 we all deserve a receipt, so ended up calling in speaking to a nice young lady who is the reason I gave 1 extra star. She was nice, and understanding (unfortunately didn’t get her name). Be nice , be kind of goes along way.
So this sucks I hate doing this but I feel I have to do my car was towed to Cody's auto and when I wanted to pick it up I was given a bill of over 300 dollars was told 175 for tow they charged me 100 for diagnostics and almost 50 for oil which I was a little upset about since I never told anyone to do anything but just tell me why the car wouldn't start anyways was told have to start car to do diagnostics so had to put oil anyways I let it go the problem is 1 I found out that no you don't have to start it only need key in on possession to do it anyways when I picked up car all it needed was a new key but how did you start the car to do what you said without the key well I was gonna let it go maybe they have a trick but then found out car was bone dry no oil so now I got to wonder you could look at the key to know that was needed and they didn't put oil like they said and now I gotta wonder was a diagnostics even done honestly I don't think so I think they were going to but realized key need to b replaced so anyways I don't know and that's where the problem truly is when it comes to your mechanic you gotta be able to trust what they say like a doctor and I can honestly say I don't know what is real or not I can't prove it so can do nothing about it but as someone who depends on every penny I get this is really terrible I mean this set me back on my rent and bills so I need honesty on these things and Cody's really let me down on this but on a positive note they do have two of the best dogs at that shop which almost made the experience better almost those are good girls so they do have that and head mechanic did make them go out and put the oil in I don't wanna say the bad without the good but that was my experience

Cody and his staff are amazing, I was broke down on interstate 81 and I called and spoke to the office manager and she dispatched a tow truck to me within 30 minutes. Once it was in the shop and diagnosed the part was ordered and installed in just a couple hours and I was back on the road. I want to thank the office mgr as well as the tow truck driver and Cody the owner for their quick service and very fair pricing. I would highly recommend this business to anyone needing there services. Thanks again!!!!!!!
After having a caliper lock up on my Yukon and contacting my insurance, I received a quote from Cody's Auto for $175 for towing, leaving me to pay $25 out of pocket, after my insurance paid $150. After agreeing to the price, I then received another phone call from my insurance, stating that Cody's had changed the price to $225. The original price was quoted and agreed to after 5 pm, however Cody's claimed "they didn't realize it was after hours". Two other local companies thankfully responded, one for $150 and one for $85. Shop around, save money and avoid Cody's.

Car broke down on a Sunday. They picked us up, towed my car and fixed it by Tuesday. Everyone I interacted with was kind and knowledgable. I ended up here accidentally and I am so glad I did.
Called them to haul / move a skid steer and 2 forklifts. He was able to schedule me for quick service. He was on time and very professional easy to work with and a good price. I would highly recommend them.
Horrible horrible horrible suppose to fix a part and end up breaking 3 other parts... they won't let me reapond... but that's because this isn't my email... I paid 500 to get my pulley and belts fixed which by the way yall way over charged but I let that be but then I came back 3 times because it wasn't fi Ed and then I see Cody let him know hey its still making the same noise and he then tells me well you can pay another hundred dollars and we will look over it again... another hundred money don't grow on trees...
