What clients say about Republic Services Westmoreland County Transfer Station in Montross (VA)
I dropped off my friend's refuse today, and I had a very positive experience at Republic Services of Westmoreland County transfer centre. The campus was not particularly odiferous, and the turkey vultures were very pleasant and non-threatening. The dumpsters were not overfilled, and had ample room for all of my assorted waste. A+!
Working a 9-5, M-F I have zero time to go to the dump. How do you not have at least 1 weekend day open? Close on a Monday if you need 2 days closed. But some ONLY have the weekends to do things around the house.
With the rare exception that the recycle bin is full and unable to take my recyclables, I have never had a problem when visiting the transfer station. The staff are dedicated, friendly, and, always helpful, especially Roger and Alec. I am most impressed by the breadth of items the transfer station is able/willing to accept. Makes paying my Westmoreland Cty taxes a bit less painful :)
Very helpful staff. Always have dumpsters ready to handle new debris. Large recycling area. Another area for trash appliances. Very clean entrance. They even take old tires. I wish the landfills in No. Va. were this good.
