I drove 50 minutes to get there on Saturday after it snowed cuz I a stick busted a hole in my hydraulic filter it said online that they were open until 5:00 when I got there the gates were closed so I had to then drive to the next nearest Massey Ferguson dealer which was another hour and 20 more minutes thank God they let me pay for it over the phone and pick it up out of a toolbox they had outside because they closed in 30 minutes then I had an hour and 40 minutes travel back home
I stopped by the dealership to take a look at a compact tractor. I could not be more impressed with the staff's professionalism and kindness. To say the least, I walked out, came home, and bought a tractor. The best part was the delivery and the education I received about the tractor. He was at my property for at least 2 hours showing and training me everything about the tractor. Thank you, Surrey Equipment, for a wonderful experience.
The moment I walked in, it definitely reminded me of equipment dealerships I went to with my grandfather as a kid. Everyone was so nice and helpful. They offered 3 purchase options, all cash, and two financing options. Mrs. Dawn was amazing. She helped me over the internet with the purchase of a new old stock 2605h. The purchase experience was quick and easy. I also purchased the cover everything insurance through them. Sadly, I had to file a physical damage claim early on in ownership. I will update the review once I get the tractor back — to include what I’m sure will be a just as positive experience with the service group.

I took my new to me car in for a diagnosis of a terrible noise in my front brake, I had a warranty appointment Thursday in Williamsburg but I was concerned about driving it that far so the great folks at Surry Eqipment looked at it before I drove it that far and they diagnosed it and fixed it on the spot saving me a day in Williamsburg and , thanks to Tanner, Jason and all involved!
Going here for oil changes and fluid top-offs is getting to be one of my better habits in my retirement days. Leslie and The Crew are my 'first lines of defense' in keeping the 2012 Taco in good mechanical health and hopefully still running until we hit 411,000 miles, which at the current rate will be around my 94th birthday. On Tuesday, 4 March, 2025, The Crew rejected the Taco for the tie rods being way too loose for safe road travel. Leslie ordered the new ones from Richmond, and on Wednesday the repair work was done in about 3 hours. The monotony was broken by watching 'American Pickers' on the TV, reading a good book on George Washington, and a squall line coming thru the area at about 60 mph, which gave everyone a nice adrenaline rush. NOT Everyone is going to have THAT experience. And my Taco is riding much smoother now. The entire operation is one of the hidden gems of Tidewater Virginia that will keep you coming back; at least until your 94th birthday.
I need a state inspection and new tires on my horse trailer. Had an appointment for 2 PM and was back on the road on the new tires and sticker by 3 PM. Great experience for me.
Friendly service and short wait. I like the auto service works off appointments instead of first come first served. Good that Surry Equipment has a NAPA auto parts dealer with the auto service.
My husband and I bought Bobcat zero turn lawn mower in the spring from Surry Equipment. It was a great experience. Mrs. Dawn was very helpful with all of our questions. The same day we purchased, it was delivered by Matt. The zero turn was ready to go with a full tank of gas. Matt was very helpful with showing me how to operate it and parked it my barn upon request. It was a great experience!
Customer service from all the staff was just awesome! Store associate made a battery cable on the spot for me. They definitely have a customer for life now!!!
If you want a place that will bend over backwards to ensure you are a customer for life, this is the place. After having bought my Massey Ferguson from them in 2017, they have serviced it twice, while I have been living in NC. They not only delivered the tractor, but most recently, the son of the company drove down and picked up my tractor to bring back to them for it's service. They did a thorough job, were up front about pricing and repairs, and delivered the tractor back to me, cleaner than when it left. They truly bent over backwards to make sure I was taken care of and I cannot recommend them enough for not only new tractor sales, but even the service as well. Thank you!
Bought my Massey Ferguson tractor here great buying experience. Just had a maintenance issue a year after I bought it. Dropped it off and they had me fixed up in no time. Everybody here from sales to service are great!
This business is owned by my sister-in-law and her husband. I bought a tractor here, traded it for a zero-turn, and they are honest, hard-working folks. They accommodate customers, and deliver what is promised, when promised.
My experience for an inspection and oil change was great at Surry Equipment. I have been going there for years and everyone is friendly and professional and trustworthy as far as diagnosing only those repairs that are needed. I go to them first for all of my car repair needs.

I had a front end alignment performed on my 02 Chevy Avalanche. I was called by Surry Equipment stating that my truck was ready for pickup. I asked If there were any issues concerning the work performed. I was told no. After settling up the charges for the service rendered. I left the facility and immediately observed that my truck was still pulling to the left at a low mph. I notified the facility and they told me to bring vehicle back for a review. I wish that there had been a test run performed on the vehicle to ensure readiness before I was called to pick up. Very disappointed..
I bought my first tractor in May 2019, and I dealt with David. He was extremely thorough in explaining the entire purchasing process. My tractor was delivered on time, and there was no delivery charge. Brian was extremely helpful in explaining the workings of the Massey Ferguson Model 2706. He also took the time to show me how to disconnect and reconnect the rotary tiller box. If I ever need to purchase another tractor or attachments they will definitely receive my business.
I went in here to get my dad (who’s out of town) a new hat. He wanted one to wear out, that wasn’t covered in grease. The owner of the store was so helpful and sweet. You don’t go into many places anymore that make you feel so welcome but this place is wonderful. I had a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to going back (let’s be honest, grease stains are inevitable with a farmer). I’m looking forward to my next visit.

I bought my push mower here years ago and usually take my car here. herb and the other auto staff are friendly and I've never had problems with their lawn mower or auto repair.
