I could not be more grateful for this company. Our work truck blew A tire as it was getting dark And we were on the side of 81 which was super dangerous. They came out quickly and got our truck hoisted right up before it even got dark and Had it towed right back to our office. The gentleman who came to get our truck was friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. Their response time was phenomenal and the process was easy. I definitely recommend them.
Brown and Son have been there for my family for years when we needed towing or a vehicle won't start. Friendly, knowledgeable employees, fast service. I trust them to be there when we need roadside help.
Was headed out of roanoke when my bearing exploded on my trailer nearly catching it on fire. They were super quick to respond and gave honest repair options to the situation and went above and beyond.
I can't recommend Brown and Sons Towing enough. We broke down in our class A motorhome on a Saturday afternoon south of Roanoke on 220.
Zach arrived as promised and he and Mr Brown got us safely hooked up and towed to a RV park just up the road.
Ethan came back Monday as scheduled and hooked up again and towed us to Excel Truck Center. All encounters and service was professional and efficient. They took excellent care and caution with our home on wheels.

Was towing a fifth wheel and was rear ended by another truck towing a fifth wheel. Minimal damage was done to our truck but Browns insisted on towing it anyway. Browns will not release our truck unless we pay six thousand dollars for the truck only for a tow that lasted maybe three miles. We are fully insured for both camper and truck yet they are unwilling to negotiate with the insurance company. We need to be heading home up to Maine for our jobs. Sounds like a scam.

They got to us so fast! Our truck (Ford F250 diesel) died on us during rush hour in the middle of the freeway while towing our 31’ travel trailer! They brought a flatbed for our truck, and another pickup truck with a ball hitch to tow our trailer. Thank you thank you Danny and team! We had never been to Salem, and Danny gave us a ton of recommendations for things to do while our truck was being repaired by Seacrist Motors (side note: I recommend them too).
Calling Brown & Son was the first and the right decision when a breakdown occurs. Ben was completely professional, experienced , very friendly, and respectful. I was updated periodically on the arrival of the driver. Thank you, Brown&Son. Although no one likes breaking down, I'm glad it happened where it happened. Your specialized operator is a keeper.
They came out and completed the job on a Saturday morning. I asked him to email me the invoice for payment. As I was emailing the payment info, he texted me and threatened to impound my truck and charge me $1500 for not paying the $350 charge within 20 MINUTES of receiving the invoice. Illegal and unethical
The rear axle seals on my motorhome were leaking and had just been repaired by a Ford dealership (Ford chasis). We had travelled to the Salem Civic Center for an event and found that the rear axle seals were leaking again. Mike Farrell from Brown & Son replaced the seals, working for hours in high heat and humidity to get us back on the road, and home safely. The seals are no longer a problem. Thank you Mike!

Our motorhome broke down in Salem VA. After trying to work with AAA RV & Progressive Roadside to get a tow to a shop that agreed to work on it (11 miles away) for 24 hrs we called Brown & Son. The truck was promised to be there in an hour. Before the hour was up the driver, Ben, called to inform me that he would be a few minutes late due to the traffic backup. Ben arrived shortly after the call. He was very polite and professional and the truck was pristine and to be honest, impressive. Ben worked hard to hook us up for a rear tow all while my wife sat in his air conditioned cab. Once hooked up he closely examined the set up and decided it might be problematic due to the slope of roadways so he disconnected and set it up for a front tow even though it was more difficult to set up. We arrived at the entrance to the shop and his manager, Danny, was there to assist with traffic at the very difficult entrance to the repair shop. Dealing with Brown & Son was certainly the high point of a very stressful two days. We would highly recommend doing business with this company if you ever find yourself in our situation.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Blew a tire on a Penske trailer. These guys came out 45 minutes earlier than their estimated time and completely repaired tire quickly!

These guys are awesome. I was 5 hours from home with a busted transmission and they shifted what they needed to in order to get me home that day. I hope I never need their services again but if I do, I'm not calling anybody else.

O/O do not let this company take Your Truck to Excel Truck Group in Roanoke VA. Some how they work together and the problem is that ounce Excel fix Your Truck they are the one charging You for the Towing an double it probably now You pay for 2 different Companies because Excel pay Brown & son but Excel will also charge You another percentage on the same towing. They will rip You Off. Look at my bill for a 30 miles Towed it took us from the time the tow truck arrived to me and hooked it up about 3 hours to get to Excel like I said 30 miles away. Excel truck Group is overcharging us. I have to give this Towing Company a Bad review because I did ask for my bill so I could pay it to them but it was refused Driver told me Excel will take care of it. And sure they did by charging me a huge bill again look at Job AE01 that is what they charged me even charged for labor what labor ? Towing the vehicle is not enough?
I got in contact with the good folks at Brown & Son to deal with a car that needed towing to a dealership. They stayed contact with me regarding my tow MUCH better than my insurance company, letting me know when my car was picked up from my home and dropped off at the dealership while I was out of town on a work trip. I highly recommend them and their services.
Discovered that the inside dually on my Winnebago View was flat while camping in Salem Va. Called Brown & Son and they dispatched Mike Farrell. Mike arrived on time and promptly diagnosed and put in a new valve stem. Timely service and very knowledgeable mechanic!

Austin, the owner's son brought me in to the dealership and recommended, I don't put the factory bolts back in the drive shaft because they were so rusted. In the morning I bought new bolts and one of their other drivers was dropping off another Semi truck and I asked him if he could put my drive shaft back in and Jerrel said yes without hesitation. He saved Me having to pay the Dealer additional $194.00 dollars for putting my drive shot back in. I will use these guys again if I ever get into the area and break down.

Had broke down our fleet service sent this company’s road side service out to see if could be a easy fix. Mike diagnose the issue call in for a tow we chit chatted a bit very nice and personable guy. Tow operator Zach very nice and friendly loaded my truck up and drove me 35 miles to my hotel in the dead of night. Great bunch of people would highly recommend Brown&Son
The customer service we got from Brown and Son Towing was exceptional. They went above and beyond on Sunday, Mothers Day to safely get us off of Route 81 after our leaf spring broke on our fifth wheel. Mike, our hero, came out and blocked and chained the spring so we could safely tow the unit to Tonie's RV to have it repaired. They two companies worked together to coordinate the repair and made what could have been a horrific experience a satisfactory one. We were back on the road within a day and could not have been happier. We are now home safe and sound thank to two wonderful businesses that can teach the meaning of customer service. Thanks again to all who made everything go so smoothly!!!!
