My son took his 16yr old Cobalt from VB to Blacksburg and had to learn the hard way, but Waynes Auto fixed the issue and was affordable and communicative. Wish they had shops like this in 757.

We broke down on route 81 mile marker 1984. We were able to limp to Wayne's Auto Repair & Towing. If you are ever near this garage you are going to be ok. Wayne's shop changed our water pump in about 1.5 hours(including the test drive). The shop even offered to take us where we needed to go while our truck was being repaired. The men working at this shop are honest and were a blessing to our family!

My family—military through and through—was on leave, cruising down the interstate for a much-needed vacation when fate decided to make our lives complicated. Let me paint the picture: three kids in the back, shouting out “Are we there yet?” on repeat like it was their duty, when suddenly, our minivan’s alternator gave up on life. Cue the blinking dashboard lights and a slow, tragic roll to the shoulder. With both adults’ phones on 5% power and AAA continuously putting us on hold, we started to panic. We were six hour from our destination and NOT wanting to spend extra cash on hotels or repairs. Enter Wayne’s Auto Repair, our unexpected saviors. From the moment we called, Wayne and his crew treated us like VIPs. Within what felt like minutes, they had our car towed, diagnosed, and were working their mechanical magic. It was like watching a pit crew at a NASCAR race, except with better manners and less yelling. Their employees are national treasures. They called AT LEAST 4 different places for the part we needed and ended up driving to a different town to make sure our car was fixed same day. Meanwhile, they kept us updated on the repairs with professionalism and patience. My kiddos even played tag in their back parking lot for an hour. In record time, they had us back on the road. And here’s the kicker—they didn’t charge us an arm and a leg. In fact, when I googled the average price of the repair cost Wayne’s place beat the average significantly. So if your car decides to mutiny on the interstate, Wayne’s Auto Repair is the backup you didn’t know you needed. They’re fast, skilled, and have the kind of kindness that makes you forget you’re stranded with three kids and a dead alternator. Wayne, if you’re reading this: you’re a legend, and our family owes you one. Five stars aren’t enough

These guys are great. We developed a leak in our cooling system in the midst of a long road trip. Clarence worked us in and quickly identified the problem. No BS about the fix or how long it would take. Helped us troubleshoot and arrange for a tow to a dealership in Charlottesville. Could not be more grateful for their professionalism and kindness.

My 4Runner and I found ourselves at Wayne's after the bearing in the truck's tensioner pulley failed, seizing the pulley and snapping the serpentine belt. Cash's towing picked me and my vehicle up and took us the 15 minutes to Wayne's. The Lexington AutoZone about ten minutes away had the necessary part; Wayne drove over to pick it up himself and dropped me off at a local restaurant to get some lunch while they worked. All told, the job was done and I was back on the road in a little less than two hours after we first arrived at the shop. The price was fair and the both Wayne and the only other gentleman working the shop on Saturday were friendly. It's never great to have a vehicle failure, but shops like Wayne's make it a little less painful!

Treated like family :) We were on a road trip from NJ to TN, me, my 80 year old mom and senior pup. And got stuck not too far from Wayne’s in 90 degree weather! He came out in 10 minutes, had a smile on his face and whisked us away to his shop to replace an alternator. His team did everything possible to get us back on the road in just a few hours! Thank you so much for making a scary break down into a positive and memorable experience.

Own a high mileage vehicle, and Ive taken it to a few places to get it work on. Mostly Company owned auto shops, and either they couldn't get my vehicle fix right or wanted to charge a arm and a leg! Waynes Auto not only fix the issue, but now my old car drives like a new one! It's hard to find a good autoshop, I'm very thankful!

Wayne and his guys were a godsend! We were on our way home from Philly to Houston when one of the bearings on my truck started going out. We stopped in Lexington for the night and Wayne’s was one of the places they recommended. I called first thing in the morning and explained the problem, he ordered the part and had us come in an hour later. They had my truck fixed and we were back on the road by 11:30am. We are so thankful they were able to fit us in and get us taken care of so quickly, and for a reasonable price. They were all so nice and helpful and it made me very comfortable leaving my truck in their hands. I cannot say enough good things about these guys, they really saved the day and the rest of our road trip!

they are amazing! my car broke down while traveling home, and they dropped what they were doing to help me when I walked in. I’m pregnant and hormonal so cue the tears, which they were very nice to me about. They were extremely apologetic in the fact my car couldn’t be fixed within a day due to what broke, and called me a ride back to Ronaoke airport so I could get back home. They were amazing, helpful, communicative, and able to make me laugh when I felt like everything was falling apart.

Overdue post to thank Wayne's Towing for a tow of almost 200 miles after a breakdown on the I-81 corridor near Natural Bridge on a Sunday afternoon back in March. Thanks to Wayne for handling the logistics and thanks especially to Clarence for taking us home. Highly recommend Wayne's Towing and Clarence!

These guys are awesome! We’re from out of town and wound up here when our tire flew off our van on the highway. Let alone this is 3pm on a friday, they were able to find parts, fix the issues, and get us back on the road. They made a scary experience and overall bad afternoon much much easier, couldn’t recommend them more. Thank you all so much.

My car broke down while traveling through VA, and I limped it to Wayne’s. He scanned the codes and confirmed that it needed to go to the dealership for repairs. So he towed the car to the nearest dealership. According to the dealership, the towing charge was 2-3 times higher than normal for that distance. Super annoying when I’m going to have a huge repair bill, to have a huge towing bill besides.

We were stranded on I81, on a late Sunday evening, during an extreme ice and snow weather alert. Clarence came as quickly as possible, got us comfortably in his truck, loaded our car, drove to a nearby hotel making sure we had a room, and got our needed luggage for the night. The next morning, Wayne let us that he need some parts and desite the weather, was able to secure and install them. By the afternoon, he completed the repairs and picked us at the hotel. The charges were clearly documented and were extremely reasonable. Kudos to Wayne and his skilled mechanics.

I usually am not one to get online and take the time to leave reviews… but my wife and 2 kids were on a day trip heading to Newport News Va. I was 3 hours away from them when my wife pumped gas into my diesel truck… long story short it was mid day and I immediately had the truck towed to Wayne’s. They immediately started working on the truck as busy as they were and were so nice and accommodating to my wife and kids and had her fixed and out the door before close. He didn’t take advantage of her situation like most all people would and was more than reasonable on repair costs and understanding. So thank you to everyone there that helped and I’ll recommend you guys for anyone that’s up that way needing something done!

Had our alternator go on our van over the holidays. The guys at Wayne’s prioritize that job to get us back on the road and home safely. I was actually very surprised how fast the job was done. I wish they were closer to me because they would be my go to shop if I was.

My car barely made it to his shop and I was running late to a funeral, he heard the sound and knew what it was. He pulled it right in and said he could fix it the same day. He even called a woman to take me to the location of the funeral. I really appreciate him being thoughtful and helpful, I would definitely recommend him for your car services.

My wife was driving through Virginia when the check engine light started blinking. She pulled into this shop right as they were closing up on a Friday. They stayed, diagnosed, went out to get the needed part, and fixed the car. While they could have price gauged us, we were shocked with how low they charged. It’s been a month and we haven’t had issues with our car again.

Broke down on I-81 on a Sunday and AAA told me the closest auto shop was back down in Lexington and was going to be closed. Wayne came in the tow truck and immediately looked into the issue I was having while still on the side of the road. He told me his shop was open, closer, and could have me back on the road in a few hours. He didn't charge me any extra for towing miles and I stood right there with him and he explained everything he was doing while he fixed my issue. He replaced my blown spark plug and ignition coil in an hour and gave me a fair price. Less than 3 hours from when he picked me up on the side of the road I was back on the highway heading home. Friendly, fast, reliable, and well priced.

My cars engine seized and had a hole in the engine block on my way across the country. Luckily we were close to Wayne's, the work they did was meticulous they did everything they could to assure that any other issue that might arise happened on their watch and took care of it. They replaced the entire engine as well as the turbo and it's running better than before. Wayne is also good on his word and very trustworthy 100% would recommend.

These guys are absolute rock stars. I’m very grateful to them. I had a major issue with my car’s brakes while on an 8-hour road trip from northern VA to TN. They were very understanding of the emergency situation and basically dropped everything to help me and start working on my car. They had me back on the road in 2-2.5 hours (on a Friday afternoon), and that was after a full brake job! They were thorough, kind, understanding, and more than fair on price, even considering the emergency/last-minute nature of the repair. I was told this shop has been in business for over 30 years. Go there with confidence knowing they will treat you right!

Absolutely the best!! My car blew a hose and Wayne showed up for AAA and towed us to his garage. It was a Sunday so couldn't get parts but he had us fixed up and on the road by 1pm we are now on our way home. Excellent work and didn't take advantage or gouge us because we were traveling! There is not a single bad thing i can say about Wayne’s. Ive never trusted a mechanic shop more in my life. Extremely hospitable and friendly and honest. Oscar, Wayne and the team went above and beyond and out of their way to help us and did great work and had fair and honest prices. I brought them a truck that died on the road this truck belonged in a scrap yard. Fast forward one day and we were back on the road and continued our road trip with no more issues. I would trust this shop to help my grandma! they treated me like family.

The turbo on our Nissan diesel truck was acting up when towing our trailer up the hills on I-81. Check engine light and loss of power. We were able to limp up the last hill and drop our trailer off at the next exit. We figured we were doomed, almost 500 miles from home and at the mercy of any greedy mechanic. Of course this was late on a Saturday, around 5pm. Luckily, we found Wayne. He worked on our truck for over an hour, long after his staff went home. He was able to reset the truck so it could drive and also gave us the best directions back to Atlanta to avoid hills as much as possible. He charged us less than $50. An honest mechanic, working late on Saturday, undercharging us and detailed directions home. Wayne bailed us out of a very expensive weekend. We were able to make it home, thanks Wayne.

Wayne, his daughter, and his other mechanic were all awesome! Our alternator quit working on our way from Ohio to VA Beach for our daughter's engagement. They worked well together to go get a new alternator, get it in, while keeping us calm, and getting us back on the road within 2 hrs. Best service ever!!! You guys are the BEST!! Thank you so much.💓

We were given Wayne's name and number from the woman at ExxonMobil off Rt 81, Exit 195 after losing power steering and leaking coolant. Wayne pulled up roughly 8 minutes after we connected on the phone - popped the hood, recognized the issue, went back to the shop, and within fifteen minutes we had a new "fan" belt and coolant topped off. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. Could not have asked for better assistance - especially in an emergency situation.
