In early August my family and I were on vacation at Claytor Lake State Park in Dublin Virginia.
On the next to last night, my wife's car broke down and needed to be towed to the shop. We were 7 hours from home and needed it towed ASAP as our rental was ending on Friday (This was a Thursday morining).
Called and explained our situation and he said they'd have someone there as soon as they could.
The tow arrived quickly and without much trouble finding us seeing as how we were inside the state park and didn't have an actual address to send them.
While they were waiting my wife took our other car out to the store. And with everything else going on, I didn't even think about the fact that she took the bank card with her. So, he got the car hooked up and waited patiently for her to return with the card.
All in all, everything worked out. They got the car to the shop in short order with enough time in the day for the shop (Blackburn's Automotive - Check their Goole page for the review) to figure out what was going on. Additionally, they came in at less than half the cost of what our roadside coverage was going to charge us out of pocket.

Popped a tired on route 11. Called them the guy got there fast. It was pouring rain. I sat in there truck while he loaded it. Took it to the spot to have it fixed and he waited to make sure, they could work on my tire before leaving. Super great, and smooth experience would definitely recommend and at a great price!
Friendly and professional service. Logan was phenomenal!! He navigated down my tricky driveway to pick up my car that was not easy to get. Very polite and intelligent young man!! I would recommend this company any day of the week.

When my daughter got stranded on the side of the road in Pulaski VA, we had the great fortune of finding Dave at Good Ol' Boys, and Deve truly showed up as a Good Ole fella, helping her get the car towed to a fantastic shop he recommended, to a hotel he thought was a good one (it was!) and followed up to make sure she was fine. You can not find this kind of caring, competence, integrity easily and we were so fortunate that we called Dave. Thank you so much sir, and I recommend EVERYONE to use your towing and recovery services, they will also learn they were lucky to have found you.

I can’t thank Good OL' Boys Recovery enough for helping my daughter when she was stranded on a busy highway near Virginia Tech. David, the tow truck driver, arrived within 15 minutes and quickly put her at ease. He not only safely got her vehicle off the road but also made a call to arrange for a repair shop. Knowing she was in good hands, even from a distance, brought us immense relief. Exceptional service and professionalism – I highly recommend them!
My car broke down Sunday night. The driver made my daughter and I feel comfortable as we are from out of state. He offered to tow my car 3 hours away to my house but I opted for something closer. They did a fantastic job towing my car, our driver was super nice and did a great job. He recommended Pure 1080 Auto in Radford to do the repair work and they were also fantastic. Hopefully I won't break down again in the area but if I do, I will defiantly give this hard working company a call!
David was so nice and helpful. My rental car company plugged a tire on the sidewall which made it a dangerous repair to say the least and the tire kept losing pressure. He gave me tons of information regarding the repair so I could more accurately deal with the rental company as they were completely unhelpful. He was so fast and courteous but not rushed in any way. Got me back on the road in no time. Call them before you call anyone else!!!

I cannot say enough great things about this company. We were headed home from picking up a vehicle in the area when our truck decided to go down on 81 and we needed help! They were there within 20 mins to get us loaded up. They towed our truck to a local shop and even found a place for the car we were towing for the night. They dropped us off at a nice hotel and even helped us find the right repair shop to get our truck to. I’m so glad we made the call to them in our time of need! Great people, very friendly , extremely helpful!
Amazing guys! Highly recommend. They worked very hard to get my RV off the interstate with a blown tire. Great communication and explanation of everything. Turned out to be far more complicated and they didn’t give up. Were so nice about it all. Truly saved the day for me!
These guys went the extra mile to save us while traveling during an emergency. They were willing to work mobile on something that no other mechanic ever would have for a decent price!
David was kind, efficient went above and beyond. He set me up with a mechanic that would take my car so I could get back on the road. A true angel during the Easter holiday in a tow truck. I am beyond greatful! I do not have enough good things to say about this ambitious young gentleman
David at Good Ol Boys was just amazing! I corresponded with him from Texas to get a vehicle picked up and stored until the transporter could get it picked up and transported to me in Texas. David took care of everything to make it as smooth as possible. I didn't need to handle hardly anything. Would highly recommend!
Stranded in Virginia 200 miles away from my destination and 800 miles away from my home in NH, Kelly got to us quickly and absolutely saved the trip. Very professional but also a friendly dude we could just shoot the breeze with and relieve some of our stress from such a chaotic day. Kid can drive that truck like its nobodys business and had no trouble navigating the tight roads at our destination. A+
After the recent storm my car slid all the way down the driveway and was hanging on a bank and it couldn’t be pulled with a truck and chains. My friend called Good Ol’ Boys Recovery and David Gibas showed up within 15 minutes! He assessed the position, and quickly pulled it up the driveway, checked the condition of the car and moved it to the street for me.

We were traveling through Virginia on our way to vacation and got 2 flat tires from road debris, these guys were awesome they came out with 2 trucks so none of our family was stranded towed us to the local Walmart to get 2 tires and he even waited while I made sure the Walmart could get our car done the same day so we wouldn’t be stranded. I can’t give them enough praise!!! Definitely recommend them!!!

Called for a quote which was hundreds of dollars cheaper than the first place I called. Kelly was able to pick me up quickly and at the time quoted. I rode with him to the drop-off. He is a great guy and took great care of my vehicle. Highly recommend. These guys will take care of you.
Our truck alternator went out at midnight. We are traveling back from New York to Florida called good old boys they came out within the hour to tow us. That happened on a Saturday night. Sunday most mechanic shops are closed they went out found the part and installed a new alternator and got us back on the road. Highly recommend this company for anybody. Kelly and Dave were amazing with communication and diligence to making sure I was safe and out of harms way while they were handling another transport before getting to me. I waited because of how amazing they were over the phone and stayed in constant communications the whole time, never leaving me in the dark. Kelly got to me and was able to recover my vehicle with such professionalism and he showed his diverse knowledge in rigging and maneuvering my truck to get it on the flat bed with safety and awareness off the charts. I get off work late.. it was Wednesday! I thought these guys ain’t coming to haul me home this late! They did!! He was tired and I’m sure he wanted to go home but he made sure I got home 1st!
