Very cheap labor and oil recycling fee. However, this benefit is negated when you factor in their extreme price markup and dishonest tactic of not disclosing the price.
I had an oil change and wipers replaced on my Chevy Truck. They did not give me a quote, but in all fairness I did not expect the extreme markup on the materials used. I was charged $92 for 5 quarts of 5W30 and $39 for an oil filter! For reference, the same exact oil costs $38 at autozone and the filter will never be more than $11. I was also charged $17 for an extra quart of oil because I needed 6 in total.
The wipers were fairly priced and the labor was very cheap.
Naturally, I asked them about the extreme markup. The lady on the phone defended the “premium” products and said that are priced accordingly and not marked up. She then proceeded to tell me that my 2023 truck with many 5 years of warranty left was about to fall apart.
They gave me $50 off when I said their pricing was dishonest. I did not expect or ask for a discount. The person in the store acknowledged it was expensive instead of defending the exorbitant prices like the lady on the phone did.
Take your vehicle elsewhere. The convenience factor of having this in Quantico is not worth it. I would rather they have a higher labor fee than jacked up prices. I came here on a recommendation from a coworker and I will not be returning. I will be telling anyone who will listen to get their service out in town.
Great, friendly, and prompt service and the website for scheduling was easy to use! Recommend a "Notes" or "Comments" text box so that customers can provide any relevant/specific information when scheduling service. I may have missed it, but I don't recall seeing one.
The Quantico did a fine job, as I described during my most recent visit for the alternator. This time, a few days later, I noticed an odd, rattling noise coming from the left side of the engine. Since I was on base, and only a few minutes away, I called and spoke to Barbara. When I came in a few minutes later Jorge (I wrongly called him "George" in my previous review). They took it in and promptly ID'd it as a failing water pump (got to remember this car has over 200K miles). In and out within 1-2 hours. Fine job. I told them how much I like them, but really hope I don't have to see them anytime soon :) They understood.
Later visit 12 Jan 20226: The service was prompt, attentive, and professional. Barbara and George are always a pleasure to work with, both personally and professionally.
Repaired my tires and changed out the spare after my tire blew out right before closing! Motivated crew. All repairs and maintenance were done at a fair price in a timely manner, very kind staff.
George and Barbara are great managers! They are always there to help and answer questions that I may have. They are straight forward. Couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work on my vehicles!
George and his crew at Quantico VA Firestone are outstanding!! Oct 17th my car literally died while entering I-95 S in Woodbridge VA at 11:40 AM. Thanks to God, and smartphones. I was stranded on the shoulder. I gave George a heads up call, and after getting a tow truck, my car was at Firestone at 12:50 PM. They quickly diagnosed it was a failed alternator which also took out the battery. They had it fixed by 3:30 PM and I was on my way.
Overall very good experience with Jorge and his team. Had to get wheel alignments and get tie rod ends replaced. Jorge made sure his team got the job done and I got my car shortly after work. Great choice if you’re not sure where to look in town and for other military members it’s a good spot.
This place has gone downhill! stay away! do not trust them. They didn't even do what I asked them to do and then recommended a bunch of extra work that wasn't even needed. I do not go here anymore! Sad because it used to be a great place. New management is terrible. Several of my co-workers have had similar bad experiences as well.
I can’t say enough good things about the Firestone team on Quantico! I have been going there for over eight years. The team always take the time to explain everything clearly and offer honest recommendation. If you're stationed at Quantico, take your car there!

Another time they were charging so much to mount em I just did it myself!
As far as state inspection if you have a car that needs an inspection they either don't actually check (newer vehicles) or they use incompetence to explain unneeded repairs.
TL:DR lazy experienced mechanics and preying on people who doesn't know their own vehicle.
Terrible management. Like many auto repair and tire shops, this one on base is no different. They will upsell and scheme. Placed tires on my car with a promised $300 discount prior to having a full decision on the application and then when they couldn’t give the discount they wouldn’t remove the tires or honor the price difference . Garbage! Just go off base
Went for new tires, they told me my front brakes and rotors needed to be replaced along with a rear wheel hub. Got my car back and brakes felt a little soft along with a slight scratch noise. Brought the concern up and basically got told it was fine because new brakes act like that. Didn’t really have my concerns addressed aside from them test driving my car and saying it’s fine. While waiting for them to check, another customer walked in and had complained that his directional tires weren’t placed properly either and were actually backwards. Took my car to another firestone location the next morning, they found air in my brake line and stated that the brakes were even sat properly so they fixed that for me. Which the Quantico store manager told me is odd because they didn’t mess with the calipers or brake line for their to be air in my line. Which makes no sense because I got both my brakes & rotors replaced. Only came to this location due to the convenience of where it’s at but at this point I would rather just drive the 20 minutes to Woodbridge and have them address my issues from now on.
Jorge was extremely attentive and honest. He helped me with all my car needs and more. He helped me understand what was going on when I have no knowledge of cars and even went out of his way to communicate with my parents when I needed additional questions answered. He lifted up my car and showed me what exactly they did and what work I would need in the future without overcharging without any explanation, fair price for the work I got done and extremely attentive and great labor.
Where to begin. Ordered 5 tires for my 4runner to replace everything and get a full size spare. They charged me for 5 but didn't change the spare until I said something on pickup. Also had an alligent done same time. Mistakes happen right? Over the next few days I here a clunking noise from the front end. Get underneath and look and found all 4 Cam Bolts for the lower A Arms that get adjusteded during an alignment loose. Retorqued all bolts to spec and the noise stopped and she's driving fine. Fast forward a few weeks and take me wife's car in for a state inspection and alignment. Ask the counter person to please make sure they torque everything as I had an issue with my last car. Big mistake. Passes everything with no issues. Go to pick up the car and there is a brand new self tapping screw in the driver tire causing it to be flat with a TPMS light. How did it just pass a state inspection and lookover by a mechanic and now have a screw and a flat? Don't use this location. Shame because I've had great luck at others. Will not be returning to Quantico location.
These are the nicest folks around. Professional, knowledgeable, and just kind. They fixed my car faster than they said they would. I’ve been there several times for various cars in my family and they’d never disappoint.
Took my car in yesterday to get 4 new tires and an oil change. I was already planning on doing a brake/rotor change today. Tried taking off the lug nuts on the front tires and 4 of ten bolts cross threaded so now broken. I call to speak with the manager and of course busy. If you can’t take enough time to at least hand thread the nuts on at first you are a very very poor representation of Firestone. And of course the person who answered the phone says can you bring it in…..yeah let me get right on that and drive it in with half my front lugs missing.
Update, got a call from George the manager after posting this. They made things right and I appreciate it. Thank you.
I took my car in to get spark plugs changed and the next day my engine light came on. I went back and was told it was nothing to do with the spark plugs a9nd that my purge valve and and vent valves didn't work. I never had any problems until I took it for the tune up. The purge valve is located right beside the plugs and since I've never had any issues, it makes me think something was damaged during the plug change. When asked how much to change the valves, it was 700 plus after I had just spent nearly $600 the day prior. On top of that I was charged because they did a diagnostic. The sales lady decided she would only charge me half which helped a little. I don't believe I should have been charged at all because my car was In perfect working order prior to my initial visit. I purchased the purge valve and changed it out. The replacement took my 10 minutes so I'm curious to know what they were trying to charge me 700 plus dollars. Other than that, the staff was very nice.
I can see why there are lots of bad reviews at this location. I went in looking for a simple quote to replace all my vehicle AC components and the guy at the front tried to say he couldn't give it to me because they had to see it. I told him again to give me the quote as if I had to replace everything. He stormed off into the back and came back with a quote. I then thanked him and asked if he had any appointments available. He then said "No, maybe Monday..." And then just started talking to the customer behind me. He didn't even check for an appointment nor did he offer me one. He pretty much swatted me away like I was a fly buzzing around... Bruhhhhh..
Like many of us on base, I live all over the country and frequently use Firestone. I won't be using this one.
For tires, they're fine. For actual maintenance, take your car somewhere reliable.
I brought in my car requesting just to have the check engine code read (I told them I'd ordered a code scanner online but it wouldn't arrive before a long drive I had to make). When I picked it up they told me they'd conducted a full diagnostic check for $130 (they don't show you the screen or mention the price when you're signing, but I'd assumed it was negligible since I was just asking for a code scan - learned my lesson).
That would've been fine, just a miscommunication, but they quoted me $847 to fix the check engine issue (code P2433), including replacing both the sensor and the pump. That struck me as odd, so I asked around and found a reliable mechanic out in town. They conducted a diagnostic test and found that only the sensor was bad: costing only $181 to repair!
Even if Firestone had correctly diagnosed that it was just the sensor that needed replacement, their estimate for just that was still $290, $110 more than the cost for replacing the sensor out in town.
The workers in the Firestone on Quantico are very professional and provided great customer service. The representative at the front desk gave me options and prices of different types of tires that fit my vehicle(run flat and non run flat) and I scheduled the service.
I made the decision for non run flat and the mechanics replaced all four tires on my Mercedes-Benz C300 2018 for 1K dollars. Saved $500 hundred dollars because the Mercedes-Benz dealership would have charged an estimate of $1500 easily.
The service took about two hours based on the work load they had that afternoon. Overall, Great place if you have access to Quantico base.
I would HIGHLY recommend you not use this location for anything more than a simple oil change or battery replacement. Even then, I would use caution and would thoroughly check their work after they are done. Long story short, I took my car in for brake service and a brake fluid exchange. When I dropped the car off, it did not have the brake light on. When I picked it up after the service was completed, the light was on. I took it back over the next few days to which they informed me that the issue I was having was because the car was old (04 Chevy Malibu 255K miles) even though I have had numerous brake fluid exchanges completed with no issues until now. I received a second opinion from a different auto shop nearby and they specifically annotated that the issue was likely due to the brake fluid being drained too low causing the sensor to get stuck and even they couldn’t get it out and now it has to be completed replaced. I spent over $500 getting work done at this location just to have to spend an additional $1500 to have what they messed up fixed. Hence my earlier recommendation. Beware….
We've used this store off and on with my husband's Ford for 10+ years and always been happy with the results. In this case, I have never taken my Lexus anywhere but the dealer for work but needed to get work done quickly so tried them out. I scheduled online, got a quick and convenient appointment, the work was done on time and as promised. I was treated very fairly and honestly by the employees and the price was way lower than I would have paid anywhere else. The staff is very friendly and patient when discussing details of the work, too, for those of us who aren't car savvy. Highly recommended!
I had a great experience. They were flexible when I had to change my scheduling, it was a seamless drop off, and the car was done in only 45 minutes from my scheduled appointment time. Being right here on base is very convenient! They even applied a discount coupon I didn't have to ask for. $100 off.
Love this place! I've been taking all 3 of our vehicles here for years. I've always been treated with the utmost politeness and friendliness. The Manager, Carson, and Barbara and Aaron are all super friendly and accommodating. The first time I went here, it was on a recommendation of a friend. Honda had just told me I needed hundreds of $s of work done on my car. I took it to Firestone for a second opinion and they told me that I didn't need to do the work yet. They would keep an eye on it each time I bring it in and let me know if it was due. Saved a ton of money. Sure, I've had to do some work on my cars but I feel it's honestly quoted and I get a good customer discount. I feel like I'm in good hands here. Thoroughly recommend.
