Was good for other services but not great as a lumber yard. Selection was mostly slabs and cut offs. Went because it’s advertised as lumber yard and left with nothing.
Update: yes I was shown the three buildings. Again, it was just slabs and scrap cut offs and misc boards. No need to call, my review is what it is.
Awesome experience with Russell at Eco Friendly - he took the time to find the absolute perfect piece slab for my mantle. They have a huge selection and the customer service is 5 star!
Derek, Scott and the rest of the crew at Eco Friendly Lumber are always so nice and helpful. I wanted walnut for a small coffee table build and they were able to find the perfect pieces to help me stay in budget and didn't try to oversell. I've used them in the past for CNC services and that was super easy as well. They definitely have me as a customer for life!

Eco friendly is THE place to go for custom wood furniture. Guys who work there are super friendly and very knowledgeable about their product. Even offering custom epoxy inlays with their cnc machine.
Really cool operation with reasonable wood prices. A lot of stock is already surfaced on 2 sides and almost everything I looked at today was kiln dried on site. Plenty of domestic species variety.
I like how they use logs that big commercial mills won’t take so the wood doesn’t go to waste, and you can find some cool stuff in those logs with a lot of character.
My husband and I have purchased from Eco Friendly Lumber a few times. Today we stopped by and purchased a pin oak slab for a dining room table. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They allowed us to browse and checked in with us on occasion to see if we had questions. They showed us different slabs and talked about cookies that are forthcoming (for a coffee table project). We enjoy the selection. Prices are a little higher than other places we've purchased from, but the quality and service is there.
Great selection of wood slabs, just picked out a nice oak bar top and getting a custom CNC design. They did a great job on our slab headboard a couple years ago!!
Went to their sale in July 2024 and bought two long live edge slabs for sofa tables. They gave me an amazing price on them which will allow me to make two 5.5 foot sofa tables for less than $200.
There is so much here. Pre-finished slabs, complete tables, raw slabs and dimensional lumber, table bases, etc. They have large computerized CNC machines for planing and for engraving (signs, etc.). The staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for woodworkers and table shoppers alike. Pictures are of our beautiful 9 foot long slab table.
Russel, Scott and their crew were welcoming and helpful. We purchased beautiful modern bedside tables and a bear chainsaw sculptures. Great discovery today.
Been here twice and the guys are great. Very helpful and friendly. Inventory was a little low (looking for some Walnut) but they had enough for what I needed. Best place to go in NVA
I couldn’t be more happier with the quality Eric and his team produced for us. The attention to detail and quality is truly what you would expect and more. We wanted an epoxy style dining room table and benches to match. They happen to have a table already made which we saw on their Instagram and they were able to produce matching benches from the same tree. They made the legs custom and this table and bench combo is truly a life long time piece. Awesome work!

I have used Russell wood selection for many design projects. From a live edge kitchen island, fireplace mantel, one of a kind floating shelves or gorgeous dining tables. There are tons of wood species and slabs to choose from at his shop. Definitely worth stopping by!
Excellent customer service and superb milling work at very reasonable prices. Dropped off two massive logs that were 36” x 11.5’ long weighing a total of five tons and the slabs turned out amazing for my upcoming river table projects. Definitely recommend Eco Friendly Lumber with five stars!!!

Love my table from Eco Friendly Lumber. I originally just bought the material and was going to finish myself, but after some unexpected splitting occurred they finished the job for me. Very nice and easy to work with. Excellent work. Wish they were a bit more communicative as my table was done for a couples weeks and I never received a call or email. Over all would highly recommend them.
Twice now a customer and I’ll certainly be back for more. Had a custom dining table and a desk commissioned and they’re both gorgeous. Derek is a great dude, super collaborative and delivers quality work.
The dining table is maple with custom legs. The desk is poplar with auto legs by Uplift.
A visit to EFL is very much worth your time and Id argue a better cost and value for anything you’ll find at another store. Truly a hidden gem.
Worked with me for a quarter of the year just to make sure my product was exactly what I needed for my Eagle Scout Project! As for their customer service, they sure put the Friendly in Eco Friendly Lumber! Wasn't ever treated disrespectfully when I was unsure of things and was greeted with a smile.

Got a custom desk built from these guys. I would see all their work all over Northern Virginia at Bars, breweries , and wineries. Had to reach out to Bud and his crew. We came, picked out what we wanted, gave them measurements, and was done in just a week. Great work and detail, these guys are good at what they do.

These guys are amazing! Made me a custom bar top and table out of Mahogany Slab. We get so many compliments when we have guests over our place. We did a lot of research on local companies and these guys were the best & pricing was very competitive.
