I will not be going back to p town recycling I went this morning 4/27/23 with some scrap steel because it was closer to an appointment I am at right now. They are paying 6.25 cents a pound, just got off the phone with Elizabeth river recycling and they are paying 9 cents a lb, 3.50 a lb for #1 copper, 3.20 a lb for #2 copper, $2.20 a lb for clean brass, 50 cents a lb for aluminum, 1.75 a lb for clean ac coils so don't take your stuff to p town recycling, take it to Elizabeth river recycling and get all your money your entitled to from them
P-TownRecycleing is an ok scrap yard to sale your scrap if you are looking for a local and convenient and close location, it's much closer for those who don't have transportation.
My most recent experience the Lady that pays kept $10 & refused to be reasoned with.I won't argue with ignorance ...will see how she lie in court . & this is 2nd time she has cheated me . See you in court !
Worst place ever the most rudest people that should not be dealing with customers EVER!! The most unprofessional discriminatory rudest most arrogant people ever and there’s no way I would ever go back to that place again and I will discourage anybody and everybody I know the same!!!
Please don't come here, l messed up and read the reviews and I still came here. I print out the latest metal price and showed it to them and they stated that don't have to give you the full amount of your material. Granted l brought in some rims and 10lb of metal l had lying around in the house, they still gave me bottom price for my material. Please go to another cite.
The people are nice. They've been open when others haven't. They don't have the best prices, but it's not a difference that leaves me feeling ripped off.
Website says open again. Again they are not. Sitting in a line of vehicle’s after having loaded the truck looking at a locked gate. Correct information on the website would be helpful.
Scales are always broke. Printers been broke for over a year so you never get an invoice. Always seems as if they screw you out of money. Steer clear from this place!
The lady in the office is the most unprofessional person I think I've ever seen in my life, she has an attitude every time I've been there, the customers bring metal in so you can have a JOB!!! You guys need to strongly consider who you have working for you, and today topped the cake, a man was on the scale and being held, I feel this was done on purpose, we were behind said truck and got on the scale and she screams out the window, "we're closed" and held a closed sign out the window, I will drive the extra mile to go elsewhere, don't take your business there
Rude, unprofessional and poor customer service, money thrown at you by unwelcoming attendee at window and no proper information posted as to what to do or where to go to
This place ain't s**t! I get there at 3:40, you close at 4pm, but have a sign thats hand written to close @3:45. They'll make the wrong person mad one day. Please learn how to tell time or at lease have regular closing like a normal business. Really unprofessional and ghetto!!!!
i can laugh now because I haven't been there in a very very long time but I took a bucket of copper and a bucket of brass and a pile of aluminum ***CLEAN EVERYTHING*** there and got less then $70 got yelled at by some ghetto guy at the scale about me drinking out there when I had a green coffee cup drinking coffee I'm pretty sure he was high this place is all around the complete disaster.
Horrible.. Been twice so far and will never go again, i showed up on a Saturday at 11:30 with enough metal in muy truck that probably would have taken 10 min to unload. This rude woman let me set on the scales for forever before she started yelling and pointing at a business hour sign that says they closed at 12 and refused to take my metal, two others were already unloading and they had full size trucks fully loaded. I hate arguing with ignorant people, i swear she actually thought it was 12:00 at 11:40, with the time she took to ignore and turn me away i could have unloaded. Don't go here!!!! Find another place
These people are thieves they are not honest somebody got a side business going on namely the front lady shes rude disrespectful and down right mean I hope she keeps her job there right with the trash were she belongs. Terrible terrible took my metal and did not pay me for it the woman was very rude SCAPERS!!! DONT GO THERE FIND SOME WHERE ELSE TO GO I AM REPORTING AND WRITING TO ANY WHO WILL LISTEN who is the owner I will keep looking
If I could give it no stares I would because that light skinned beetle ass lady is really disrespectful and they don't give you what your stuff is worth so STAY AWAY!!! For your own good if you are struggling
Worst scrap yard.. Horrible customer service, the employees are rude, aren't honest about the weight of the metal they weighed. They aren't open to 3:45 either, they will tell you they close at 3:15, but two times in a row now I've been there at 10 after and they have closed the gates already. You'll get more money and satisfaction going to another scrap yard. (1 star is exceptionally generous...)
I thought the lady behind the counter was so nice. Everyone really is. Great Place and its real good to come I work hard .the money helps put food on the table!.
