Do not use this business, they are a rip off. They charged 1900 for a throttle body that took 10 minute to install.plus they charged 4 percent service supply fee doesn't make sense.They take advantage of people on vacation at cherry stone.
My car stranded me here in November 1999 after the engine lunched itself (due to a recall item Ford would acknowledge a few months later). Being from Minnesota, I was a LONG way from home, and AAA matched me up with this repair shop. The staff not only saw no problem with leaving my car there for 2 months while I got the repair cost together, but also helped me out with lunch, and a Greyhound connection so I could get back home in reasonable time. The epitome of "southern hospitality". When my BFF (now my partner) came down to pick up the car, as I couldn't get time off work to do it myself, she was quite satisfied at the quality of workmanship in the installation of the new engine, and the new engine would go on to last the rest of the car's life. 5 star service!
Oh...and Ford refunded me the entire cost of the repair after they announced the recall on the faulty head gasket that lunched my engine.
Ferebee does not stand by their work.
In July 2023, we had a power steering issue on our trip back home to Florida. This happened near the Ferebee shop. They said they could fix our problem within a couple of days. Inconvenient, but we were happy they were able to help us. Everyone was courteous and pleasant.
$950.00 dollars later we were on our way home. Since the Corvette is not our primary vehicle, we do not drive it often. We did notice with in a few weeks that the power steering fluid was leaking out of the car. We contacted the Ferebee shop, spoke to Sambo, he said to ket him know what the result was. Then my husband broke his shoulder and so the car sat for a few months until we were able to get it to a shop by us. It was leaking from a hose, and the repair cost us another $550.00. We contacted Sambo at the Ferebee shop and sent him all of the paperwork. This was his response:
"we reviewed the information you have sent. However, when your vehicle came in back in July the hoses were checked including the power steering hose. It was not leaking then. It may have started leaking in the following months after the pump was replaced. That hose was not the cause of the power steering pump failure back in July. As we discussed on the phone, we won't be helping with the repair.
Let us know if you need a copy of the invoice from back in July that reflects the power steering pump was the only thing we found to be defective."
We just want everyone to know that this shop does not stand by their work.
On their sign by the highway it advertises 24 HOUR TOWING, but when I called around 7pm for my truck that had broken down, they’d only tow it “depending on where it needs to go”… which was only up the road to Accomack. Needless to say, I don’t think they ARE 24 hours, so why advertise such?
John and staff were wonderful. We were traveling in our our motorhome and heard a scraping sound. John said we could come right over. The mechanics were knowledgeable and experienced. They talked everything over with us before doing any work. They found the problem, fixed it, and adjusted a few other things that were in need. We highly recommend them.
The owner of this company has highly questionable morals. His granddaughter was abused as a teenager, and ended up being the target of a high speed chase, well over 90mph, initiated by her father who was driving a CUSTOMER'S VEHICLE. When the father later initiated a tribunal within their church, she was deemed a troubled teen, and elders ordered her shunning. The owner of this company has cut her off for almost 20 years, but went on to EMPLOY the son who chased his granddaughter in a CUSTOMER vehicle. This is his own flesh and blood who can't even breath a word of her own defense to him as a loving family & community oriented adult who wants nothing more than to NOT experience victim blaming for her trauma, especially from people who were her only true safety net until three men judged an abused, troubled teenager's soul ought be "handed over to satan"... This is not someone i can ethically recommend for business.... All the other stuff aside, he EMPLOYED a man that was known to have used a CUSTOMER VEHICLE to go on a HIGH SPEED CHASE after his own granddaughter... And no, the son was not let go for the same reasons.
These guys are great. My truck broke down they came and got it not only the it was cold outside and the Boss Man took me to a hotel for the night. These guys are just Awesome. A+ in my book
If you want to lose the college money for your 2 kids as example ,thats the right address..be aware of them because they are charging "when they go out and when they come back" , if they need 4 hours to towe you 80 miles they will charge you with the exact ammount of time and money back , so you guys need 4 hours back to the shop? Empty? I recommend only to get with them a deal with an estimate first because it seems that they like to change the price in the last minute with none logical reason...so a total charge of 8 hours makes no sense

Wow. Great service, fair prices, and a speedy repair! We were visiting from out of state when our car broke down at Machipongo Trading Co. My dad and I had my 3 year old in the car and no one who could come pick us up. Farabee responded to our call right away and showed up with a tow truck in under 30 minutes. They safely towed us to the shop on their truck, much to my 3 year old’s delight. When they determined that a new starter was needed, they personally drove us back to our rental house (20 minutes away) and promised to check back soon. The car was ready just a few hours later, and they came to pick my dad up and bring him back to the garage to get the car.
We were really in a tight spot and they could have charged us pretty much anything; instead, their prices were more than fair and the service was excellent! We’re very grateful for their help; they made what could have been a tough situation into just a small hiccup. Since we’re out of state we hope we never have to use them again, but we were thrilled with the service! Thank you.
We were travelling to our home in PA from Virginia Beach when our car's alternator failed and the car broke down. The staff at Ferebee's was prompt, courteous and understanding of our situation. They set us up in a nearby hotel, obtained the part they needed quickly and had us back on the road the next day. These people are great! I can't thank them enough!

Down from NY working in Virginia Beach .....on the way back,one of our vans becomes disabled. ......after no other company could help us, Ferebee's came to the rescue! They put our van on the flatbed and took us to the nearest dealership which was in Md.
A very helpful and friendly staff!
My suburban broke down on rt 13.
They came an towed my truck to their station and took us to a near by Hotel.
The next morning they jumped on my truck first thing and fixed my brake line then came to the hotel to pick us up.
Eastern Shore hospitality at its best!

My father in law's truck broke down as we entered birdsnest va, called ferebee and they came right out. Got us towed to the shop but unfortunately it was to late in the day to get the parts we needed so they drove us to a hotel(holiday inn express) and we stayed the night. The next day(Sunday) they had a mechanic come in and swap our fuel pump out. We were back on the road by 12pm. Great service and great people!
Passing through from Florida to Mass and my motorcycle trailer had a wheel bearing seal issue. Bill has years of experience which shows as he approached the issue and solved in within 2 hours with a new seal combined with great deal of wisdom.
