Salesman Tom Torres provided excellent support and knowledge of the vehicle that I purchased. He was very accommodating to my needs and time restraints. He was able to place a hold on the vehicle for a few days until my wife was able to drive it. Salesman Tom made the vehicle purchase into a very easy stressless transaction. Manager Chad provided valuable insight of the Honda Ridgeline and was extremely knowledgeable. He should also be acknowledged for his strong rapport with his employees and customers.

My husband and I had a great experience working with their sales agent, Rachel Carter. She was professional, well-informed, and knowledgeable :) And most importantly, she respected our autonomy as we made the decision to purchase a new-to-us vehicle. We would highly recommend this dealership; everyone was incredibly friendly, transparent in their marketing, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and positive.

I had a great experience at Checkered Flag Honda. I came in and was almost immediately greeted by Kai, who then asked me what brought me in. I told him I was having some trouble at some other dealers and happened to stumble in, from there he made the process super easy and we ended up finding a car that is perfect. Shoutout to Kai for the great and friendly customer service and getting me a sick ride!

We worked with Tom, really easy process. They didn't push us toward a vehicle, did the homework for us on registering our car in a different state, found quite a few discounts, and worked to complete as much paperwork as possible before we came back to sign. From trying out our cars, to purchasing, and signing it was smooth. Lifetime oil changes don't suck either.

I pulled off the lot in a 2025 Honda Accord Sport Hybrid in Urban Gray Pearl, and I couldn’t be happier with the whole process. I’ll definitely be doing business with them again for all my Honda needs.
What really set them apart is they didn’t blow my phone up or pressure me like most dealerships do. They gave me the time and space to shop around, no haggling, no games and that’s what sealed the deal.

IF YOU BUY ANYTHING HERE YOU WILL NEED A LAWYER AFTER. This was our first time buying a car And we were screwed over really bad. I ended up paying $2700 for a warranty that basically covers almost everything for it to be useless. Ryan Was the sales representative I told him over and over again we needed the car to be able to take frequent trips monthly between Virginia Beach and New York City We stressed this throughout the entire process he said that the warranty would basically cover almost everything for the next four years. He never told me that there is a certain number of miles, and if those are exceeded than the warranty will not cover four years only up to that number of miles. (had this have been discussed we would have opted for a car with less miles on it, but we were not given that opportunity because we were not told this until it was too late and there’s nothing we can do) This was critical because we’re going to be driving a lot of miles and it turns out that we’re going to end up hitting that mileage before the four years. When I called to confront him, he Said he had explained this I turned to my partner and asked because we were both in front of him the entire time and neither of us heard him say anything about this AT ALL. I spent 13 K on the car. It hasn’t even been two months and the check engine light has come on. I was under the impression that we take the car to Checkered For it to be fixed using the warranty, he instructed us to go to Kia instead. Kia is booked three weeks out. I am stuck in Virginia and I’m about to lose my job. The manager at Kia told me that I should have had it serviced with checkered flag and he said it sounds like they just didn’t want to deal with this even though they absolutely could and they have the availability. I felt good about buying from this place because they are family owned. They seemed like trustworthy people, But in the end, we were absolutely taken advantage of. Our car is now sitting at Kia. We have no car and are spending money on Ubers just to get around town. Meanwhile the Warranty is supposed to cover a rental. There is no resolution in sight And now all the time has passed so we can’t give the car back to get our money back and go elsewhere. They will absolutely take advantage of you here don’t be fooled by the fact that this is a family owned and operated business. They are just as crooked as anyone else. Please take your money elsewhere. My blood pressure is up and I have a really bad headache dealing with all of this and it seems like every month we are finding out something new. I’m in complete distress! DO NOT BUY HERE!

took my car here on December 23 to get an inspection. Pick my car up now the door is hard to open and makes a clicking noise when I go to open the door all the way. Took my car back to the dealership they told me it was because of wear & tear on a brand new 2025 . The manager told me to come back so she can look at it she then looked at it for one minute and told me it’s just wear and tear call back again today to speak with the manager called at 11:30. Called multiple times gave me the run around never called back until i called 4 or 5 times got the run around. When i get to the dealership everyone standing around laughing he finally called back when Im walking in the dealership at 5:30. I only started coming to this dealership because I had a bad experience at a different one the other times I brought my car here my door never been a problem here it is today I have to squeeze my way in the door instead of being able to open my door all the way. After speaking with the manager, he puts fault on me saying it’s the weather & this & that My car was only here less than an hour, and when I pick it up, my door is hard to open very distasteful will never take my car to this place ever again. Sad when you pay a lot of money for something that belongs to you and you’re supposed to just take a loss because of someone else dealings. Of course they’re gonna put the fault on me because they don’t wanna have to fix what they damaged. Being honest, goes a long way and whoever damaged my car will definitely get their karma you can’t do bad things then think its just going to be swept under the rug. General manager nor Janelle was not helpful It’s sad when you can’t trust the dealership with your vehicle!

Terrance was absolutely amazing to work with, especially as a first-time car buyer. He made the entire process smooth, stress-free, and actually enjoyable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to explain everything without ever making me feel rushed or pressured.
What really stood out was how not pushy he was he genuinely wanted to help me, not just make a sale. He listened to my needs, answered all my questions honestly, and made sure I felt comfortable and confident every step of the way.

We just got our new 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid, Mr Benjamin Mungaithi was our salesman rep and he did an excellent customer service. Though we waited for like 4-5 hours cuz it’s so much busy, he was so patient and helped us with our questions and concerns. We highly give him a two thumbs up! Highly recommended him. Happy with our new vehicle.

We recently purchased a new Honda Civic for our daughter, and our experience with Carl Dyson at Checkered Flag Honda was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Carl provided superb service, professional, patient, and genuinely invested in making the experience smooth for our family.
We also had the pleasure of meeting the General Manager, who personally introduced himself, which spoke volumes about the dealership’s culture. You can immediately tell this is a family-oriented, customer-first business by the way they treat people.

Update 11/2025- Janelle is my MVP up there. I meant everything I said before BUT if she had been aware of my situation from the beginning, I can’t see any of my problems happening. She immediately contacted me and jumped right into my issues with urgency. She’s empathetic and has superb customer service skills.
Horrific service. Absolutely horrific. I've been trying to get my 2024 fixed at this dealership for several months - I think almost a year at this point if not more. After several complaints, they finally agreed to do a diagnostic test on it which confirmed all of the issues I had been complaining about. They told me they would order the parts and let me know when they were in. I think it's been over a month at this point and I've heard NOTHING. I decided to call, got transferred to Parts who told me the parts were in, and then got transferred to scheduling, who transferred me to the agent who had assisted me before only for him to not answer. Do not waste your time with this dealership! Don't waste your time with them or Honda in general. Terrible customer support across the board! Try Hyundai instead. I heard they have excellent service and support. Signed an annoyed customer with a 2024 Honda that makes noises like a 93' Buick, who is in search for a lawyer at this point. Something needs to be done...Consumer Protection Agency has to have a record of complaints on these people already.Nov 11, 2025 -

What really stood out to me was how genuine and personable Daryyl Duchesneau was—he never pressured us or tried to steer us toward more expensive vehicles. There was no upselling or redirection, just honest and straightforward service and good wholesome conversation.
The process took a while, but that was entirely on me—I had a million questions, and everyone was patient and accommodating the whole time. The entire staff was professional and welcoming, and even the manager, Chad Frick, took the time to introduce himself and ensure I was being looked after—which I absolutely was.
I also think it’s worth noting that we conducted a nationwide search to verify pricing on this vehicle (My husband and I have been known to book one-way flights just to get the right car), and your dealership had the best deal by far. So, to anyone complaining about the prices, you might want to do your homework.
Overall, Checkered Flag Honda demonstrates a high level of professionalism. Beyond everything I’ve mentioned, the fact that a large percentage of your staff has been with the company for over ten years speaks volumes about the quality and integrity of your business. Kudos to you!
Oh yeah- As a disabled Veteran, one of the benefits I receive is a personal property tax exemption on my primary vehicle. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize this was missed on the bill of sale until later that same evening, after I had purchased my car and returned home. I immediately called Daryyl to explain the situation, and he instructed me to return with the necessary documentation within the following days. By far one of the BEST dealership experiences my family and I have had. Connor was friendly, helpful, and made the entire transaction smooth and easy. There was no stress or pressure and they came right out of the gate with great numbers. Marquis also was incredibly friendly and helpful, definitely the nicest finance manager we’ve worked with.
