I SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER, I BELIEVE HER NAME WAS DONNA.I HAD SOME CONCERNS ABOUT MY CAR NEEDING A NEW ALTERNATOR. SHE ASKED THE YEAR MAKE A MODEL AND ASSURED ME THAT MY CAR WAS TOO NEW TO NEED A NEW ALTERNATOR AND TOLD ME IF I COULD COME IN BEFORE HER LUNCH BREAK SHE WOULD CHECK IT OUT. AS SOON AS I BROUGHT MY CAR IN SHE HAD MECHANICS LOOKED AT UT IMMEDIATELY WITH NO WAIT. THEY LET ME KNOW THAT IT WAS JUST THEY BATTERY, SHE GAVE ME ALL THE INFORMATION ON THE BEST BATTERY THAT I NEEDED FOR MY CAR. SHE SAVED ME FROM WASTING $1600 AT NISSAN FOR AN ALTERNATOR REPLACEMENT. THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS SUPER POLITE AND SUPER FRIENDLY. AS A WOMAN THAT MADE ME VERY COMFORTABLE. I WILL FOREVER BRING MY CARS THERE WHEN IN NEED ANY SERVICE.

Quick, easy, good info. Went in for a quick diagnostic on an oil pan issue and they had an answer in a jif. Very polite/ friendly/ too the point customer service. Will come back with any future problems.

This place is really awesome. Harry was very helpful when I brought my car in and he explained everything they worked on and told me the prices before they performed any work on the car. Dean actually worked on my car and did an awesome job. I highly recommend bringing your car here. Everyone was really kind, honest, and respectful.
Guaranteed Auto Repair is one of the most honest and professional shops I’ve ever dealt with. Harry set clear expectations from the beginning, especially with my extended warranty company, and kept me updated throughout the process. He took the time to explain my options and went above and beyond by dealing directly with the warranty company when needed. Teddy did a thorough diagnostic and was just as professional.
Even though the warranty company didn’t step up they way they should have, I always felt like Harry had my best interest in mind. I left feeling confident I was making the right decision, and that kind of peace of mind is hard to find with auto repair. Their honesty, communication, and integrity really set them apart. If you’re in Newport News and need reliable auto repair, this is the place to go.
This place is amazing!!! I explained my situation and even though they were busy they made me a priority to get my car looked at for my safety. The other places I went to did not take the care or time. Highly recommended!!!
Came here for a speedometer test and it took them less than 20 mins. Was super fast and easy Harry was super helpful and despite me not having everything together he was so nice. Mark did my calibration and as I said he was very fast and efficient. Will come back for future services no question.
Got a flat tire on the way up to Newport News. Managed to limp over here and I didn't even get to talk before one of the mechanics waved me over to a spot near the bay, walked up to my car and refilled the tire, and topped off the others.
Unfortunately they didn't have the replacement tire I needed. Still they did what the could to help me out, no charge.
Other places would've probably tried to get me to spend on something or charged me for the tire refills, these guys didn't.
They instead recommended a nearby place I could get to before the damaged tire went out again and buy a replacement that same day.
Definitely coming back if I ever need anything else looked at.
Very happy and pleased to have found this shop, Harry and Brian was very helpful on giving me a "free visual check" to help determine the problems I was having in the suspension of my car. I would definitely recommend coming here for any repair or to have there expert advice. I'll definitely be coming back for future work when needed. Thanks again guys!
After several false starts with other mechanics, and needing to save the money required to get the air-conditioning fixed for my teenage son, I had an estimate scheduled with Guaranteed Auto Services last week.
My son and I got it figured out, between our schedules, and made our way from Poquoson to the shop. When I arrived, I found out the sad news that one of their technicians was going through the fear and sadness of an unwell family member. Realizing that they may not be able to get us in, understandably, I offered to take my son‘s vehicle somewhere else rather than have an extra burden on them. At that point, Cindy shared with me that their shop was where we should be (based on their expertise & experience) and she worked out a plan to have some (very high failure) parts replaced the following day (alongside other work that was being accomplished).
I believe Cindy called me by 9:30 the next morning and said we had cold air! My sweet son is ecstatic and is so glad to finally have some air when he comes in from his hot outdoor job.
Everyone there is so kind and so friendly and the atmosphere is one of family. You can feel it when you’re there. Cindy even introduced us to the sweet owner and he insisted we have some snacks that they have set aside for customers.

I can't recommend Guaranteed auto enough! From the moment I arrived, their team was incredibly speedy and polite, getting my car in for service without any delay. For reliable, honest, and friendly service this is definitely the place to go!
I was having trouble with my truck dying. Cindy helped so much. She replaced the starter and the battery. It died again. She checked the alternator and it was fine. So she traced an electrical problem which can be very difficult to find and fixed that as well. I was treated wonderfully by her and definitely will be back. Thank you for all your help.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Everyone who works there is super friendly and greeted me when I was walking up. Dean, Cindy and Harry were in the shop talking and they stopped talking to greet me and see what I needed. I was expecting a large bill, but was pleasantly surprised with up front pricing and what I will and won’t need to spend money on, instead of up charging, like most of us are used to! I work at the ship yard, and never realized such an awesome place of business was so convenient to work! WILL BE RETURNING for maintenance and repairs whenever they’re needed!!! On ALL my families vehicles!!!
Came in for a second opinion from a place that wanted to charge 1300 for control arm so came here and the diagnosis was still correct but the price was way way better! Very professional staff from mechanics to front office..plus they had snacks and water! I'm better with faces and for Life of me can't remember their names but great service!
We have been bringing our cars to Guaranteed Auto for years and wanted to leave a review in thanks for all the excellent service we have received over those years. They have kept our cars on the road even when they have probably passed their expected expiration date. While they may not be the most inexpensive auto shop in Hampton Roads (and certainly not the most expensive), we always feel like the work they recommend is needed and is in the best interest of keeping our family safe and the cars running. I want to specifically mention Cindy for how she goes above and beyond to recommend and explain needed repairs. She has never pressured us to agree to a repair and is very understanding if we decide to hold off on the repair until a later date. Recently, we have had some issues with the transmission in one of our cars which was identified when we were getting new tires at another shop. I called Cindy and she asked me to bring it in so that she could give a second opinion and she did not charge us for that opinion. She then gave some sage counsel on how she would handle the situation, which was very helpful as we made decisions on repair. The staff at Guaranteed is very friendly and kind, and they usually give you a bottle of water and a snack when you come to get your car. If you want to find a place to take your cars that you can trust to be honest and fair with you; I would suggest you give Guaranteed a try.

While I wasn't the one needing a tow, I saw their incredible tow truck driver, Issac (Ike), in action. He arrived swiftly and handled a tricky situation with calm expertise, making the other driver feel completely at ease. Ike was incredibly professional, showcasing impressive skill and care while loading the vehicle.

Fast, friendly, and very expert. I needed a speedometer calibration and not only did they have me in and out in minutes, but I left with their suggestioms and insights about problems with my car. I called ahead a couple of times and spoke with different people. All were friendly and helpful.

No, actually the tire blew going down the highway and really messed up the car bad enough that it had to be towed in. Ike and Harry were among the shop guys that helped us (everyone else, I forgot your names. I feel like there's a Jason there, too.), but a huge thank you for fixing this in time for me to get to my appointment. Napa has always been a good place to go in my family. Not sure if this shop is independently owned or apart of Napa's corporate network.
