DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!!! IF YOU LIKE YOUR CAR, DO NOT TAKE IT THERE! ALL THEY CAR ABOUT IS TAKING YOUR MONEY. THEY WILL MAKE YOU PAY 1 HR LABOR FOR A 10mins TEST. THEN DON’T EVEN CARE EVEN IF THEY MAKE THE CAR WORSE THAN BEFORE. YOU WILL PAY AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL THE CAR IS TOTALED. WORST PLACE EVERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worst place to take your car to. They charged $95 for test then told my son the car was not really leaking coolant. Next day, car was leaking again and heating up, so they charged him $300+ to replace coolant and change thermostat. A week later, same thing happened, they wanted him to pay for them to test the same thermostat they put. Car was totaled because they didn’t do their job and couldn’t find what was wrong. Wish i could give (-5 stars) oh! And they charged him for towing even after they totaled it
I was stranded at a rest stop in Virginia because I locked my key in the car. Link from Total Car Care and Towing came to my rescue! He was so kind and got my car unlocked in minutes. I might add that it was pouring rain! I am so grateful and would highly recommend this company!
Last week, I flew to Tennessee to purchase a truck. On Friday afternoon, just as I was heading home, the fuel pump in my truck suddenly failed, leaving me stranded at a rest stop. Fortunately, I broke down only about 10 minutes away from Total Car Care Auto & Towing.
I had my vehicle towed into their shop around 4 PM and explained that I had just bought the truck and was on my way home. The service technician, Jake, stayed over two and half hours late on a Friday evening to get my truck repaired so I could get back on the road.
From the towing to the repair service, pricing, and professionalism—everything was top-notch. I would gladly give more than 5 stars if possible. I highly recommend Total Car Care Auto & Towing for all your vehicle repair and towing needs!
Derek and his crew helped us out when headed out of town on vacation. They were quick to respond for our flat tire and easily accommodated our family and dog on the trip to the tire store.

I took my diesel truck to this place for routine brake work. I picked the truck up after they said the work was completed. The steering wheel and doors were covered in black grease from the mechanic who worked on it. The brakes were sticking to the point where they were grinding when driving even when my foot was not on brake pedal. Worst of all, after picking it up I noticed there was an issue with the battery going dead. The mechanic evidently accidentally clipped a wire somewhere under the hood creating a phantom load that kills my batteries. I took it back and they could never fix the battery issue or even the brakes. No refund of any sort. I paid someone else to fix the brakes. The battery issue remains, so I have to pop the hood and pull a fuse everytime I get home to prevent the battery from going dead overnight. These guys killed my truck and im sick about it. I do not recommend!!!
I was stranded in VA on my way back to NC. They told me my transmission is shot which is true.my mechanic who towed me all the way back home confirmed this. However these people told me the nearest replacement transmission was in Nebraska and the job would cost $5000. My mechanic printed me out a two page list of used transmissions nearby all for about $400 to $800 that will fit the vehicle and a nearby transmission shop told me they'd swap it for $1600. I'm aware that prices vary state to state but I'm just saying...

My daughter and I were on a road trip driving through Virginia today when my car started making a noise and I wanted to make sure it was safe for us to continue on. Tyler was the driver that towed us and he was super helpful friendly and accommodating and just made the whole thing way easier for us. The shop was able to look at my car right away, which was amazing and I was not necessarily expecting. Luckily it turned out to be something minor and we were able to be on the road in no time. The front desk stuff were really kind and helpful as well. Overall they were all very accommodating and for that we are grateful!! Thanks!
Tonight I spent two hours on the side of the road on 460 waiting for these people to show up. After two hours waiting in the cold and getting “15 minutes out” lies when I called for an ETA. I called All Call Towing and they arrived in 10 minutes!!! 6 minutes after I get home I get a text “This is Noah, im on my way” 30 minutes later Triple A calls and says “Driver said the road was rough and he didn’t feel comfortable continuing”….460 was too rough?! These people are just lazy, dont want to work and full of excuses.
Employees are rude and hard of thinking. They have a deal with Montgomery County Police to be the first ones called after a car accident. My car was totaled and needed to be towed. Against my choice, they were called and took my car back and charged me $650 and the title to get stuff out of my car. All employees, especially the front desk lady spoke to the person who is with me and myself in a very condescending and demeaning manner.
My car suffered a permanent breakdown 3.5 hours from my home one Friday afternoon and TCC&T were the designated AAA vendor. They arrived quickly, answered all questions promptly, and most importantly had empathy for our situation and helped us explore our options to not only get the car taken care of but secure a rental so we could finish our trip and get home safely. I can't recommend them enough!
Our camper had a blow out on the I-81. Wes was able to get to our location at the Radford Rest Area quickly to assess the situation. He told us that the blowout didn't damage the other tire as we suspected and he offered to swap the blown tire with our spare. He replaced it quickly and safely and even though it was late-afternoon on a Saturday, was very professional, courteous and sympathetic throughout. I hope I don't need his services again, but if I do, I know who I'm calling. Thanks Wes!
I waited almost 2hours for Total Car Care to tow me but they never came and won’t pick up the phone when it was time to pick me up. What company does that? I had children in the car waiting with me. We had no bathroom, food, or heat. I give Total Car Care zero stars. It was 3:30am before my family made it home. I will not ever use Total Car Care again and would not recommend them to anyone.
Never thought I’d be leaving a review for a Towing Company, but I felt compelled after the care, patience and kindness I was given. AAA sent me to them when my car overheated on 81 late at night. Wesley Gordon was a blessing in disguise towing my car to the nearby hotel at 10 pm and letting us get all of our camping trip packed to the brim carload out. Needed it towed to Northern VA and 25% into his drivers trip, I threw him for another loop when the service center said they couldn’t take me so I had to switch locations by about 47 additional miles. He was patience and helpful throughout the entire ordeal and worked with his driver to adjust. Most towing companies wouldn’t do that. These are morally sound humans. I just wish I lived closer and had a consistent need for their services, they’d have a customer for a long time! Thanks Wesley for being a light during a stressful moment.
Price gouging at its best. Had a tire blow out on a trailer and pulled it by this place on a Saturday afternoon. A guy changed my tire and I ask him if he would mind moving a couple of pallets forward on the trailer with his fork lift and he said sure. It took a total of 10 minutes and then he charged me $200 for doing it on top of almost $400 for the tire. What goes around comes around I hope they know it or learn it the hard way.
I had waited 18 hours after being stranded 2 days for a mechanic who swore he was going to come. After contacting 6 companies, one wasn't able to do it, but contacted the owner of Total Car Care.
Wes got to me within an hour. Not only is he a superb mechanic, but had great people skills as well.
Derek, Cassie, Wes, and all the crew at Total Car Care are absolutely amazing. Not only did they provide professional and courteous service at a fair price. They also went far beyond what would have normally even been expected of the service. And it wasn’t just a few guys, it was all hands-on deck. I know of no other establishment that would have taken the extra steps these guys did. They are obviously not just about the “bottom line” but equally as much about the people they serve.
They are good honest people, they don't try and rip you off. My mom and dad have went to them for years, myself included. They even told me up front that it might be a couple days before they may have a chance to even look at it. Then few hours later they called with the problem, an estimate, and was asking me if I wanted to proceed. I approved it and was still told that it may be a day or more. Then I was super surprised that it was ready to come get. So helpful and friendly always.
Great experience with this company. Called for a AAA battery service. Arrived quickly, jumped battery, and determined the battery was faulty. Exchanged battery for a new one. Thank you for great service.
We were recently on our way home when our vehicle suddenly broke down in Christiansburg, VA, an area we had never been in before.
Total Car Care & Towing sent out a truck to tow our vehicle. The tow operator, Link, was the most personable and professional driver I have ever met. (I was a police officer for 30 years, so I have met many!)
He helped to put my family's concerns at ease, imparted his knowledge/experience with the repair facility we had chosen, helped us to choose a close hotel, and even offered (even in rona-times) to transport us to the hotel (we wouldn't all fit, so we found other means). He was very careful in loading our vehicle, safely delivered it to the repair facility, and secured it properly. He was also very patient while waiting for us to go through our belonging and take out what we would be needing for the next several days.
Total Car Care & Towing, and especially Link, couldn't have done a better job in my eyes. I highly recommend them if you find yourself in the area and in need of assistance.
I broke down on 81 and called AAA. A very nice young man in a well maintain flatbed got me to the shop. Chris, the manager, got my car right in to the garage so we could assess the problem. It was a strut and tire. It was fixable but would take several days to get parts etc. He gave me expected costs. I decided to continue with my trip and leave my car to be worked on. The local Enterprise rental location was not helpful so Chris called another number got me a great deal on a rental and then had me and all my stuff taken over to Enterprise and got me back on the road. I had both struts and new front tires put on and felt the price was reasonable. The shop is clean and organized and very busy but they seem to handle it with good humor. When I picked up my car everything was ready. I then tested it by driving 4 hours at highway speed and everything was perfect. I am so thankful I broke down where I did and I am able to say what could have been a very bad experience was improved by finding kind people to help and honest people to fix the problems. I'd say I had a new mechanic but its a little too far from my home. Thank you again, Chris and Total Car Care, for everything.
