The Mafia Modifieds and the Steel Block Bandit Late Models both put on spectacular races. Both races were very competitive and kept us on the edge during their whole two races. I think maybe the only shortfall of the event was there weren't enough people working the food vendor area. At the same time I do understand how hard it is to find workers these days. I thought the food was a little pricey but very good. Love the track and always enjoy the racing. I think on these special racing events nights it might be a good idea to not run all the regular events classes so the event doesn't go so late into the night. I would come more often but I don't like getting home at 2:15 am.
The track is awesome. Great fun. The only complaint I have is that the concessions are outrageous. $16 for a $3 basket of chicken tenders at a local racetrack is highway robbery. They also had 1 person working the window at the concession stand. I'm glad I got in line early because later on, there were probably 50 people waiting in line for the majority of the races.
Very clean and neat facility. Came to watch the motorcycles here on a Saturday night. I hope they will be back again because the racing was awesome! The best racing happens at almost rain-outs!!
I have not been to the races in a long time and this was my first time at this facility. The staff was great helpful and the place was clean. For me it’s worth the hour and half ride to get there. I will be getting back into going to the races since visiting this track.
Excellent half mile dirt track facility. Attended the RVA flat track racing on 7/15/23 and had a fantastic time despite the rain delay. Some of the bleacher seats have backrests so you need not bring one.
Races were good but again less than a full field of super late models. Your increase in food prices is outrageous and is a turnoff for many fans around me. I understand a increase in pricing but $15 for a sandwich and fries is ridiculous. $18 with a bottle of water. Never again
I just want to say thank you, I'm only up in this area temporarily thanks to the US Army. The handful races I've been out to here have been fantastic. Definitely a world class facility one of the best I've ever been to.. and I've been quite a few coast to coast 😉
Unlike what many are complaining about on Facebook and other sites, the personnel running the track did a great job. There were several setbacks due to the weather, including losing partial lights; but they reacted quickly and kept everyone informed on weather and other situations. Also, fast tracked the qualifications, so they could get to the big event and made sure drivers were ready to race. I have been out to the races several times and this was my fiancée first time and even though there were weather issues, we had a great time and have no desire to ask for a refund. We appreciate the personnel for their efforts and trying to put on a great event for the fans. We will be returning again.

We got there at 7 pm and we left at 10:30 pm
It was a great night out
Lots of bleachers to set in .
It's a dirt track so Remember to set up a little higher then you would a paved track
When the wind is bad you can get really dirty so a pair of glasses of some kind are good to bring
We did not try the food we took our own
I think that is a nother good thing about this race track.
Bring your own food also save you money just no Glas containers

Awesome facility. Races are a blast! Be sure to bring hearing protection and consider a hat which helps with the dust. Ticket prices are reasonable. Concessions are very fairly priced and the ability to bring your own cooler in is awesome. I also love that this place plays our National Anthem.
Amazing facility, amazing races, amazing food, and amazing fans. What an awesome place to come see some of the best dirt track action on the east coast. I will be there every opportunity I get. Can beat FREE CAMPING in their fields.
Tons of fun and excitement for the whole family. Every class was fun to watch. Bring ear plugs and something to sit on, the stadium seats get covered with dust. There's concessions with old school funnel cake, funnel fries, fried Oreos, pork rinds, etc. It's a blast!
I've been going here, on & off, for years (over a decade).
Pros:
(1) Great track ... excellent [modern] facility (grandstands, concessions, parking).
(2) The track facilitates competitive racing - the staff does a wonderful job creating & cultivating multiple racing lanes.
(3) They schedule special events/race cards approximately every 4-6 weeks (or abt. 6 per racing season), e.g., All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series, National Touring Late Model Series, $20K to Win Late Models, $50K to Win Late Models, & Mud Bog events (if you're into that).
(4) The track promoter and everyone I've ever encountered with the track have been very nice.
Cons:
(1) The weekly shows can sometimes have small car counts.
(2) They occasionally lose electrical power (not always their fault, e.g., accident along the highway).
(3) My biggest complaint: on my most recent visit I sat next to a very [ugly] vulgar drunk who spilled beer all over the place - incl. fans seated around him, he spit chewing tobacco on my pants leg and on the stands so my feet were in beer & tobacco juice all night, he constantly spewed profane language (to get out of the aisle he'd say "Get the F-word out of my way" ... he called a fellow race fan a vulgar word when asked to sit down), and he kept putting his hands on me - incl. once ON my face. This guy was genuinely a "serial inebriant" and the type of person you'd never want to encounter in any walk of life. Granted, you could meet this individual at the local store, but at least at the store you won't be trapped next to him for 6-hours. I've encountered or have seen this type of behavior on approximately 1/3 of my visits to the track so it's not just one individual nor am I saying it's ALWAYS directed at me - it isn't. Unfortunately these type of individuals always have a posse of enablers with him - friends and family who make excuses for him - and they fail to stop that behavior. I'm a big guy, I am not afraid to handle myself if forced to but it's the mature, civilized thing to de-escalate and avoid the potential trouble this could cause. My point: one should never have to face these situations in public, especially at an event one pays to attend.
In summary, it's a nice track - it typically has good competitive racing and is a good value. If you go during a special event and the stands are packed, you'll have less of an option/opportunity to move away from uncouth characters (why should I be the one to move? ... and reporting to security would only alienate me to the group of enabling cronies he came to the race with). Despite this, race nights there are still a 4-star experience for me. However, I go solo ... I won't take the 1 in 3 chance my step-daughters are exposed to this - nor do I take my wife because just one experience with an ugly drunk like the one example I described above would prevent her from going to ANY race track with me ever again.
Very pleasant facility. Very light attendance. Not a lot of entrants.
Some real good racing until the power went off.
No attempt at merchandising the track or the drivers??? No tshirts, stickers, photos, other memorabilia. Limited concessions, with NO beer sales. Not really an expert on racetrack economics but something really wrong with the overall picture at this venue. Maybe just a slow week, I dunno. Hope they can do better!!
Best dirt track I have ever been to. Friendly employees. Food is cheap and good and decent bathrooms. Would recommend this track to anyone who wants to see dirt racing. Just wish it wasn't 3 hours away from my home.
Love the Super Late Model racing. They always put on a great show. Family-friendly facility. Easy parking, access and exit. Delicious concessions. Everything you need for an enjoyable racing evening.
Fun place for the whole family. They still rise for the singing of the National Anthem and have public prayer before the night of racing begins. The staff is always helpful when you need direction and the racing is exciting and loud! Definitely worth a visit on a warm clear night.
Great place to bring the family. The staff is really nice and the environment is laid back. It gets dusty so don't wear white and I highly suggest wearing some sort of glasses and a bandanna.
Track was good. Stands and facility are nice. However, false promotions to get fans in the stands is a huge turn off. Won't be back even though this is our closest dirt track by atleast an hour. Willing to drive much further to avoid the lies this place promoted to get fans in the stands
I was last there in 2011 so I'm not sure how it is going on almost 4 year since going but WOW what a racetrack! Great track the provides great racing and a great fan experience!!! Yes it is out in the Middle of the sticks but the drive is 110% worth it!!!! Some of the best racetrack food out there as well!!! Always a great show with local classes and the big dog touring series that come through there will never disappoint!!! 5 stars all the way around for this track!!!
