Very friendly staff. They do great work and their prices are reasonable. I’ve taken my vehicle there twice for the same problem (no fault of Kilmarnock Auto Clinic). The manufacturer of my car sent a defective part. I’m grateful that the car part was still under warranty from the manufacturer and Kilmarnock auto clinic made sure that it was before the ordered a replacement.
Hey so just to let everyone know, don’t ever go to Kilmarnock Auto. They had my car for 2 months and I was supposed to get it back yesterday. I didn’t get it back until this afternoon at 5. Let me tell ya why….
The first thing I noticed when I got into my car was the fact that my gas was completely empty with zero miles left. I wasn’t worried yet because we had a gas can in my boyfriend’s trunk. The second thing I noticed the the amount of shattered glass in my back seat. When asked about it, they said an employee had locked my keys in the car and they managed to break my window in an attempt to open it. They did replace it though. But then I noticed the third thing, my two back tires were completely flat, with 4 psi on one and 10 on the other. We managed to fix that with the help of a mobile tire pump. What makes me mad is that I had even asked them to check my tires because they kept leaking. It took my boyfriend less than 30 seconds to see that there was a nail in both of them once we got my car home. Mind you, everyone that was inside the mechanic shop just proceeded to watch us get my car drivable and not help.
Once we got all of that solved, my best friend and I headed up the road to Walmart. I had just pulled into the parking lot when the cars coolant temperature went from 160 to 218 in a matter of seconds. We checked and there was absolutely no coolant in my car. We bought some while we were inside and when we went to pour it in, it immediately started leaking out from under my car. This is all happening less than an hour after I picked my car up. I had to call my boyfriend to come and get us since we were now stranded. We also called the mechanic shop and they said they’d tow my car and fix it free of charge. Gee thank you so much for your consideration 🙄
It took them over 24 hours to fix a problem they created by gimmy rigging it instead of using the correct parts it needed. And when I looked at everything again I noticed they still never cleaned up the glass they left in my back seat.
So long story short, if you don’t want your car to get a half assed job by the employees and owners who don’t care, never go to Kilmarnock Auto.
Well my expedition has been at this shop since August 14th 2024. Today is Feb 2nd 2025. It was sent in for timing chain noise and tensioner replacement. I've been there several times and my engine has been open this whole time. Still in pieces. It's going to be ruined. All that moisture. The reason I was told is the new chain is to tight and can't get it on. I've been hearing that for 4 months. No work has been done to it. I'm sure it's completely ruined now. Engine left with spark plugs out timing cover removed.. Do not go here!! I would give 0 stars if I could. Completely ridiculous...
Used to be trustworthy work but that has slipped badly. Mechanics can't be trusted and there's zero quality control. Sent me off on a long road trip with 2 bad front tires, lousy alignment and what turned out to be a bad ball joint. Dangerous. Buyer beware! Oh and the owner is always right. Don't even try...
They waited three days to notify me the parts hadn't been ordered, the contact information was correct. Stranded at a hotel 4 hours from my home. She requested a 200 dollar deposit while in possession of my Jaguar convertible. I walked to their shop with the deposit, visibly annoyed. She came flying out of the office, threatened me while refusing to return my keys. In true arrogant fashion, she threw them at me and screamed for me to "get out"... The rest of the shop staff were a pleasure to deal with.. A very angry woman. Sad
I was traveling to Kilmarnock for a construction project t when my truck broke down. Bret and Justin located the parts and had me ready to go to work by the end of the day. Thanks!
We took our 2012 Mercedes benz C 300 in to get a front axle replaced they told us the car was fixed we paid our money and went to leave but the transmission was slipping we could not drive forward the owner came out checked the fluid and put two quarts in the car was fine until the next day we got another mechanic to check the car and he said the seal on the axle was broken we went back to the shop and told the owner what was going on him and his wife and the guy at the front desk were very rude and acted like we were supposed to just leave and not find out what happened to our car at their shop I would not recommend them to anyone because they acted very unprofessional I dont know anyone that would not question how a car that was driven to the shop the day before have problems with the transmission the day after.
I had an appointment for an inspection the next day so I dropped it off the afternoon before and they called me back later that day and said car was ready, not expecting to receive a call back until the next day.
These auto experts have dealt with this old lady and her equally old car with great professionalism and an equally great helpfulness for over 10 years. I am grateful for their consistently friendly and supportive attitude and reliable service to my car.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Absolutely awesome everything! Very honest, professional, fair pricing and great service. I'm actually only in the area temporarily and I'm very selective about who/where I have my vehicle maintenance done. If i could have my vehicle shipped back to them each time from Florida, I would! (lol) I have had my 2012 Mercedes Benz there a few times for alignment, full service, advice, etc.. Wait was a little long but that's because many other people appreciate their fine work as well. Also, waiting was a personal choice as they will allow you to drop vehicle off and pick up if that's an option for you, either way well worth it! SUPERIOR SERVICE each time!
My mom had to take my car in, that had been sitting for a year, and they fixed it in no time. It was just loose wires but I'm glad it finally got fixed and starts. I'll probably be back for the wheel bearing!
