We purchased a used 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan from this lot in October 2024 after Hurricane Helene destroyed our car. With four kids and my husband needing a vehicle for work, we were desperate and had to buy something quickly. I’m writing this review so others know to thoroughly inspect what they’re buying.
Right away, we noticed the tires didn’t look good. Turns out they were dry rotted, and the alignment was awful. We had to put nearly $700 into new tires and an alignment almost immediately. Then I went to use the windshield wiper fluid, only to discover the line had been cut, so it doesn’t spray at all.
The passenger seat heater doesn’t work, and the van has a dual DVD system, but the front player is completely dead. We also found oil leaking underneath, so we’ve had to check the oil every time we leave the house.
Then in April, just months after buying it, the transmission went out while my husband was driving home from work. The repair bill was $6,307.65.
I’m not writing this to be malicious, but to warn others to check every inch of your vehicle before buying from here. We were desperate and made a very expensive mistake. I hope this review saves someone else from going through the same thing.

Works well to get you into a vehicle you like without being pushy. This is a USED car lot. Test drive have the vehicle checked and point out what you find. They will make it right.

Had a good experience. Test drove a car I really liked, but while driving it had an issue. Brought it back to Allen, and he said they'd fix it. I never bought that car. After a few months of looking and shopping more, I decided to check their inventory again, and found another one I really liked. Ended up buying it. Allen and Kandy are super helpful and they work with you, not against you. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good used car at a decent price. I don't have good credit, but they also worked with me to find a good loan that I could afford! Thanks for all your help!
The Lemon exchange. Will make all the cars here look better than they are. Won’t last you not even til your first payment. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. They’re not willing to work with you either. Customer service is awful and after your purchase it’s all on you. No type of support.
I was interested in a Jeep on the lot and I worked with Allan. I live in Alabama so I couldn't personally inspect the Jeep before purchase. Allan was a huge help to me because he sent me tons of pictures from every angle and all underneath. Even with the price of an airline ticket and my travel expenses, this Jeep was offered at a better price than any others within a few hundred mile radius of my home. I flew into Charlotte and then traveled to Virginia. I was glad to see the Jeep was exactly as it was represented in the listing and in the pictures he sent to me. The staff there made me feel right at home. Allan worked with me to check a few small things to make sure the Jeep was road worthy for my trip back home. I was on the road in just a short while and had a great trip. I can't say enough great things about Galax Auto Exchange and Allan. He and the car lot definitely went above and beyond.

Buyer beware. Took my veteran father here.. Bought truck from here $25,000 cash. The frame is rusted in half. Won't even pass inspection in Virginia. Truck only had 32,000 miles on it. Dealership believes this is possibly a flood truck. Would recommend getting a Carfax report before you buy anything from this company.
