I had a very disappointing experience at **Volkswagen of Springfield, VA** when I went in to purchase a 2025 Tiguan they had ready for me.
From the beginning, the numbers were not transparent. They added a “VIP package” for over $1,000 that I did not request. When I asked for it to be removed, that’s when the issues started.
As I carefully reviewed the pricing, I noticed they were charging me a delivery/destination fee on top of the MSRP that was already displayed on the vehicle’s window sticker. As most buyers know, the destination fee is already included in the MSRP. I brought this to the sales agent’s attention, but he refused to remove it and insisted it was “normal.” It is not normal to duplicate a fee that is already included in the manufacturer’s price.
The manager then came over, and instead of resolving the issue, he made the situation worse. He questioned why I removed the VIP package and gave me a long explanation about why I “should” purchase it. I clearly stated that I did not want any VIP add-ons for a brand-new vehicle.
I told him I was ready to move forward only if both the VIP package and the duplicated delivery fee were removed. He became visibly upset and told me the only way he could remove the duplicated delivery fee was if I agreed to keep the VIP package. That made absolutely no sense and felt completely unreasonable.
At that point, I said if the fees couldn’t be removed, I would walk out. He said he couldn’t remove them — so I thanked him and left.
The positive ending to this story is that I went to **Lindsay Volkswagen of Dulles** and purchased my new 2025 Tiguan with a great, transparent deal and no hidden or duplicated fees. Thank you for the terrible experience in Springfield — it led me to a dealership that actually values honesty and professionalism.

Had 30k service on 2022 Tiguan SEL R-line and an oil light warning. Being VIP client with a pre-certified car everything went great. Lachlan the service manager took good care of of me. I’ll also note that days later I thought I had an issue with the car and he responded to his text message system they use at work. This dealer is not the most convenient but will continue to go out of my way if I continue to get the same excellent experience.

I recently sold my car here and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the manager and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They offered me a very fair price that felt like a win for both of us—no low-balling or pressure. It’s rare to find a dealership that values honesty and customer service this much. Highly recommend!

If you need a car I highly recommend going to see Samim and the team at Sheehy VW of Springfield. He helped me out now twice buying an Atlas. He listened and spent time getting me what I wanted and at a reasonable payment. He truly cares about his customers and was so accommodating to my young son who sat with us through the whole process. Additionally, everyone there was so nice and another salesman even brought my son markers and paper.

Intrnet Sales rep. Alex was very informative and thorough with the details. Ms. Gabbi followed up to my search at the same time. The following morning Mr. David Cox was the rep at the dealership and was very professional and thoughtful to my family on a very cold day. They all made the purchase of my sons 1st. car a very pleasant experience. We intend to deal with Sheehy VW of Springfield in future automotive dealings.

I had a great experience with Sheehy VW of Springfield. I purchased a used car there and later sold a different vehicle back to the dealership. The entire process was smooth and straightforward.
I worked with Sales Manager Andrii and Salesperson Zakhar, and both were extremely professional, transparent, and easy to work with throughout the whole process. Everything was explained clearly, there was no pressure, and communication was excellent.
I was especially impressed that I received the check for the car I sold the very next day. I also appreciated the follow-up after the sale — it really showed that they care about their customers even after the deal is done.

I had a wonderful experience working with David when purchasing a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan for my 18-year-old daughter. From start to finish, Davis was responsive, friendly, attentive, and truly honest, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure we felt comfortable and confident with our purchase.
I also want to give a big thank you to the used car manager, Andrii, who was equally professional and attentive. He immediately addressed any issues or concerns we had and made sure everything was taken care of right away.

Bought an ID.Buzz here and the process was quick and painless. I messaged them to make sure they had what I wanted and we agreed on pricing, etc. remotely. I came in, test drove it and had all the paperwork done in about 2 hours. Even more impressive is that it was Christmas Eve! Ram and his team were awesome and Leon, our service guy, has made it a pleaseure to drive out here. Even though I have a closer VW shop to me, this is where I will be going from now on.

I've been fortunate in not having to car shop over the years but my partner and I found ourselves doing just that last week. We found the car we wanted at Sheehy VW Springfield, and the folks there made our buying experience a pleasant one. Our sales consultant, Ricky V., was professional, kind, and great to work with,
from the test drive to the PPI and final detail. He, along with Ram, Andrii, Aymen and the rest of the team were pretty low pressure, worked well with the mechanic handling our PPI, and were a good assist on getting financing. (Ram and Ricky gave us a great late lunch recommendation after our test drive.) All in all, an experience that exceeded expectations!drop-off.

I asked (on Saturday) for the air filter to be replaced which had to be ordered. The new one came in on Monday. We came in Tuesday and Lachlin oversaw installation pretty quickly. Quite happy with our used car purchase, and thankful for the quick service turn!Jan 15, 2026 -
Great service. They take care of my Honda every time and save me the hassle of having to drive to Alexandria to the Honda dealership (that Sheehy is also great, just far!) Leon King always provides great customer service and ensures I keep returning.

Multiple poor experiences, I recommend avoiding Sheehy Volkswagen. Sharing details of 2 separate service incidents in 2025:
1) VIP Car Detail in December - services team didn't clean the entire car. After I paid the attendant handed over keys with no final inspection. I had to bring the car back to the service door because they clearly missed the entire back row (see pic 1) in the car detailing. Because I had childcare pickup, I had to return a second day to have them finish. When picking for the second time, they clearly rushed/skipped the trunk area again (see pic 2), and I had to hand over the keys for a third time and wait another 30 minutes.
Worst - I felt like I had to be my own advocate each time, asking them to redo the job I had already paid for. Rather than proactively apologizing and solving, Sheehy Volkswagen put the burden back on me asking something like "Oh yeah, it seems like we missed a spot. What do you want us to do?" making the customer have to ask repeatedly for the job that should have been done the first time. Overall it honestly would have been a comical situation (I though they were pranking me when I opened the trunk the third time and it wasn't clean), if it wasn't such an unnecessary waste of time.
2) VIP Oil Change in August took 3+ hours WITH a scheduled appointment time. We made an appointment for the morning (I think it was ~10am). My expectation was an oil change would take <60min. However, they did not even start our car until hours later. I thought having an appointment meant we would be seen at a scheduled time, but Sheehy Volkswagen doesn't seem to follow their own appointment system. I ended up spending I think 3-4 hours at the dealership for a service that realistically takes 30min.
Overall the location (specifically the service department) does not provide professional experiences and seems to be a poor reflection of Sheehy brand.Jan 05, 2026 -

Leon King in the service department and David Cox in sales were incredibly responsive and really went above and beyond to help me out. Ricky Vance at Sheehy VW of Springfield gave us an excellent experience from the moment we walked in. He helped us lease a Jetta exactly as advertised, with no upselling or pressure at all. He was very respectful of our time and made the entire process quick and efficient. Ricky was kind, polite, eager to help, and extremely accommodating throughout. I had a very disappointing experience with this dealership and will not buy a car from them again. The vehicle I purchased was overpriced, and for the same amount I later realized I could have bought a brand-new car somewhere else.
Within three days of purchasing, I contacted them about returning the car. At first, they told me to bring it back, but when I was supposed to return it, they suddenly refused — even though they had given me a 3-day warranty.
They absolutely do not care about customers once the sale is completed. After they sell you the car, you’re on your own.
The sales manager, Andrii, was especially unhelpful and made the process even more frustrating. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone.Dec 02, 2025 -
We purchased a car back in April from Samim Amirabadi at this Sheehy location, and we were genuinely impressed by how smooth and positive the experience was. Samim was kind, honest, and professional throughout the entire process.
We came in with clear expectations about the vehicle, and he gave us the time and space to inspect it thoroughly. He answered every question to the best of his ability and when he didn’t know something, he immediately found out for us. We pointed out an exterior issue, and he made sure it was addressed at no additional cost.
Having dealt with pushy dealerships before, we expected the usual pressure tactics. Instead, Samim took a refreshing approach: he showed us the car, answered our questions, laid out the numbers clearly, and never pushed us into a decision. He even let us know we were free to walk away if it wasn’t the right fit, which we really appreciated. When it came time to negotiate, he worked with us fairly based on the car’s age, mileage, and condition.
Once we sealed the deal, he went the extra mile by having the service team wash the car and filling the tank for our long drive home. We left with exactly what we wanted and couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Although I had a fairly complicated issue with my car and getting parts the service provided by Leon was fantastic. I had to wait a couple days to get my parts and Leon was kind enough to set me up with a loaner car at no cost so I wouldn’t be carless and could go on with The things I do with my life such as get home from the dealership lol, get to work get back from work and drive back to pick up my car. Leon, representing the dealership, did a great job and this is the only place where I take my car.

Very disappointed with my experience here. I had sent in a request to inspect and test drive a 2016 Tiguan. I test drive it and as I was waiting for a breakdown of the charges, I’m told by the manager that there is something wrong with the catalytic converter. I had Uber’s 50 minutes to the dealership and made the appointment about 4-5 days in advance. There was a crack in the windshield, it wasn’t even serviced and they took the car off the market. They should have known this before scheduling a test drive appointment. They proceed to try to shift me to a 2021 Tiguan that was almost $5,000 more expensive. They took no accountability for their mistake, TALK ABOUT WASTE OF TIME!!
