Fairfax Towing & Recovery reminded me there are good people out there! I called to tow my car as it had a flat and they were on their way. I realized I had a spare so I cancelled the tow. Put the spare on, drove a little bit, then the spare got a flat. Called Fairfax Towing back and they laughed with me at my luck, got a guy out within 20 minutes. They also gave me a discount for my bad luck and because I towed it to an auto shop they know. Michael was kind and friendly as we rode to the shop together. Grateful for their help and highly recommend their business!
If I could give it 0 stars I would. They lost my key. I went to give the tow driver, Sid, a call telling me he had left the keys in my cup holder, not only was it not there I checked everywhere for my keys. Under the seats, the carpet, the consul, the glove box, on top of the dashboard, the trunk, the side of the car door absolutely everywhere. Then my brother gives him a call and now he saying it was left on the seats. Surprise surprise it was not there. The whole family looked through and through to find my key; my mom, dad, brother and we still couldn’t find it. I went to press the start button and my car is saying the keys are not in the car so I call the company number instead since Sid blocked our numbers when we told him the keys aren’t where he claimed to leave them. So we call the towing company and they are extremely unprofessional, I don’t care if you don’t own and bmw and you don’t like bmws if you misplaced my keys and don’t have them replace them. Not only that you should have handed us the key, you’re claiming you knocked on the door which you didn’t. Makes me wonder if that’s why you never handed us the keys in person is it because you had already lost it? You could of given us a call to hand us the keys but you didn’t. DO NOT TRUST THEM.
I had no problems with fairfax towing using them on April 4. The driver Sid kept me informed with his ETA. My wait time wasn't long at all. Impress! I will be asking for Sid if I need service again.
Awesome! Incredible! Conscientious! Could not be more pleased. Otis or OT came and there are not enough accolades to say how good he was. Trust me, this company is in my phone directory for when I need a tow again. Everything from my phone call asking for help to the completed job, I can only say GREAT things
After an absolute nightmare dealing with two other companies yesterday I was referred to these guys and I will say one thing - when you need a tow call them. Dispatch (Paul) picks up the phone and was professional and courteous. Scheduled pickup on my time not his convenience. The driver (Sid) arrived on the dot and had my motorcycle on the bed in minutes. Cinched down professionally and stable. These guys have pride in what they do and it shows.
Exactly one week ago I was involved in a serious car accident and Fairfax Towing immediately arrived on site to tow my heavily damaged car.
I do not know who dispatched them. I just know that they were the company that came.
Here it is one week later and my car is still with Fairfax Towing. They have given a litany of excuses as to why they will not release my car to the collision center so that it may be either totaled or repaired.
They have said that I need to have an in-person sign off and I am unable to do so because I sustained a concussion in the accident and the result is that I am unable to walk steady.
I asked what should I do if I can't come or if I were to die and Fairfax Towing's answer was they would require a notarized power of attorney to release the car to the collision center. As I would be dead, it would be impossible for me to execute a notarized Power of Attorney.
I know a scam when I see one and just the demeanor of the gentleman that constantly answers the phone makes it pretty obvious.
This company holds cars so that they can rack up storage fees.
I contacted the city of Fairfax police to verify Fairfax Towing's phone statement that the police force them to hold cars unless they are signed off in person by the car owner for release.
The City of Fairfax Police Department confirmed there is no police or statutory requirement.
I also checked the Virginia statues and there's no such law on the books.
This company is clearly exploitive in it's auto capture, tow, and stow practices.
I would never knowingly use Fairfax Towing, even if it were the last towing service on the planet.
Chris is by FAR the WORST tow truck operator I have ever dealt with. He was contracted by the dealership to pick up my car. He does, and drops off a loaner. He then called an hour later to tell me he was not supposed to give me that car.
He comes back, and starts yelling at me and blaming me for not “double checking that I was going to receive a loaner” when I asked him to not let this happen again. He did not take accountability for his actions and blamed me, his superiors, and the dealership. He is disrespectful and rude.
Fairfax Towing cancelled an hour after receiving and accepting the job to tow my car via my insurance company AND sending a confirmation that they'd dispatched a tow truck. Totally rude and unhelpful customer service when I called to check on it. I ended up getting reassigned to S&R Towing, which was incredibly helpful and prompt.
Nothing is worse that when you have a car issue. Thank goodness for Fairfax Towing from the moment I called to the tow it was effortless!! Fairfax Towing relieved all the stress and were very prompt and professional. I would highly recommend them and will for sure call them in my next time in need. Thank you FAIRFAX TOWING !!
We broke down on I-495 express lanes and Chris came to our rescue. He was very professional, quick and on time...got us off the road quickly (my biggest concern) and to a repair facility safely and efficiently. You never plan for these things but when it happens, I was glad I met Chris since he made sure my son and I were safe! Thank you again! Dennis
The staff at Fairfax Towing was supprisingly helpful. They treated me respectfully as we sorted out the difficulties of my vehicle.

I called AAA and must of hit the jack pot. The guy happened to be real close by and was just great. Very professional and kind and well I needed to praise good service. OT DESERVES RECOGNITION
Incompetent and a complete waste of time. Called this company and was told an hour wait. I called after an hour to get a status update but then the company asked me where my location was again. Then they told me a driver didn’t see my car was on the road and had to drive back around and was going to take a couple minutes. 30 minutes passed by and I give them a call back to be told that they had to pull the driver and wait another 30 minutes. In total, I wasted 2 hours to find out after another call that they cancel the service for no apparent reason. Don’t waste your time with this trash company.
Not on time!?!?! They never showed up. They were dispatched at 550. I received an ETA OF 620. I call at 620 they lie and say there was an accident they had to respond to once they drop off the car they will be on the way. I wait 30-35 minutes check the app nobody is on the way. I call them and ask where the truck is my family is waiting in our second car for the tow truck. They lie and say the truck is 15-20 minutes away. I wait 20 minutes and call again. They say 15-20 minutes and they will be there. I wait another 20 minutes And call back they say 15-20 minutes guaranteed the tow was taking longer than expected. I wait 20 more minutes and ask where is the truck they tell me 15-20 so I call my insurance company in an attempt to get another company to tow my car. The lady says she has to give them a chance she calls them and told me they said 15-20 minutes I told her they’ve been saying that forever. I begged her to dispatch someone else she didn’t. I called the company again asking where the truck is told them don’t lie to me give me the real time whatever that maybe so I can figure out what to do with my family. He says he will have the driver call me and tell me where he is because being dispatch he isn’t entirely sure of the driver ETA (another lie). The driver never calls get a call from the insurance company asking if I’d been towed yet I tell them no they dispatch another tow company that came in 15 minutes. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST!! If they dispatch this company good luck to you. They NEVER showed up for me. Awful Company!!!

I had my son's car in my driveway that was a junker. Called up Peddle (company that tows away cars) to come get the car. They sent Fairfax Towing & Recovery. I was contacted quickly and they sent Anthony out to grab my car. When Anthony arrived he was professional, on time, and super pleasant. Great guy.
Anthony also had to deal with my son questioning why his car was being towed. Anthony was super professional and solved the situation. We got him on his way and I got some money for a junk car.

Got my car towed to a dealership after it died.
Initial setup was easy, price was upfront and seemed fair. Hookup charge then add a cost per mile of distance towed they charged what I calculated as the quickest route.
They did call to confirm starting the order and pickup, but didn't confirm drop off. The dealer themselves let me know it arrived. I originally went with this towing company based on the Nissan dealer mentioning this as the company they use.. but either a more automated system to update customers would be nice or my particular order just fell through with a drop off confirmation or maybe there was a system connect there since the two businesses do some work together?
At either rate, everything went well and I did receive a non-direct confirmation of drop off, but would have liked for the business itself to have confirmed, especially for other people's orders that may not have a destination that would automatically confirm such an order.

My car broke down on the side of the road. OT from fairfax towing came and picked me up very swiftly. He arrived within 15 minutes of my call. Instead of waiting on a ride, he let me ride with him to drop my car off at the dealership which saved me so much time. I highly recommend fairfax towing. Very professional towing service. I will 100% use again if I ever need a tow. Thanks again, OT.
My car died on Monday, and Nationwide Roadside Assistance called Fairfax Towing to help me. The response time was amazingly short, and the very professional and friendly driver showed up in a gorgeous, spotless tow truck that was perfect for the job. I was so impressed! The great service went a long way toward cheering me up after my car died.
They came out on a cold Saturday for my car that wouldn't start. The driver was super smart about cars and the problem was not what we thought it was. He took apart, cleaned and tightened the battery connector and the formerly dead car started right up. Saved SO much time and money over getting towed to the shop. In addition to being a great mechanic, he was very nice to me and my son, and we now know a lot more about how batteries work and what might be going on when the car won't start. Thank you so much!!!
I called Fairfax Towing & Recovery at 1:30pm for a tow and I was told that the tow would come to the Fairfax Liberty Auto Station at 3pm. I then received a call back saying the tow wouldn’t be coming until 4-5pm. I called at 7pm when the tow still hadn't delivered my vehicle to me and was told that the tow had been delivered, which it clearly had not been. The tow finally showed up at 7:30pm and was illegally parked over a foot passed the parking line inches away from my neighbors car to the point where they were not able to move their car. I called the tow company right back and told them that the driver had left the car illegally parked and I was told they would send someone out within the hour and call me when they were on their way. The tow never showed up and they never called. It took many calls to the towing company to management (one call which they cursed profanity's at me and hung up) and then ultimately over a week later, an HOV violation from my neighborhood, they came and re-parked my vehicle. Upon further inspection, when the towing company came and re-parking my car, they damaged my vehicle to the point where I am unable to open the driver side door and the front bumper is falling off. This has been an absolutely horrible experience dealing with this company and I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.
Had an excellent experience with them from the dispatcher to the driver named OT. I thought my battery had died and tried to jumpstart it with no luck. OT arrived and checked everything. Got the car started and made sure it was safe for me to drive. He even had me test drive it around the parking lot while he waited. He was so extremely nice! I would highly recommend this company!
Great Service. Came to help me at 1 am and Rodney made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Honestly, services like this deserve 5+ stars. Would highly recommend. Rates are great! Shoutout to Hannah of their customer service who provided amazing feedback that put my mind to ease.
The guys that came to tow my car were AWESOME! They were kind, helpful, and so professional! I did have to mark it down though because a woman (I think her name is Julie) called me and just yelled at me and made me feel so uncomfortable. I was already stuck 200 miles from home without my car for over 24 hours and it was just so upsetting to have someone just call me and yell at me about the situation. So overall the towers were AMAZING but customer service from other employees, not so much.
Unbelievable! I get a quote over the phone for Fairfax Towing to move my vehicle from the repair garage to my house. They quoted me $125 to hook up and $1. per mile (as this was a 20 mile trip, the total would be $145.) I had a quote from another company for $200, but went with Fairfax because they are local and cheaper. When the vehicle was delivered, the driver was really polite. Then, politely, he said I owed $255. When I challenged, he asked me to talk to his supervisor, Donna. On the phone, Donna stated her case and refused to hear my words. She was rude, obnoxious, and offensive. In fact, whenever I tried to speak, she yelled at me. Over the phone, I could literally hear her voice echoing off the walls of her office. She was swirling around, repeating herself, yelling. She accused me of insulting her and much more. Each time I began a sentence she accused me of not listening to her. I begged her to let me speak and she instead said she was calling the police. She hung up the phone and ordered her tow driver to take possession of my vehicle. I took my key and blocked access to the vehicle with my truck (and I called the police). Then somebody named Judy from Fairfax Towing called me and was much more calm and logical. Judy said Donna didn't call the police and they wanted to work it out before the police arrived. We agreed I would pay the $200 I would have paid the other company (obviously more then the agreed $145 but it wasn't the $255.), which I reluctantly did. (In hindsight, I feel I should have waited for the police to arrive and stuck to my $145, especially since there was nothing in writing stating any amount.) If you use this company, get the quote in writing (e-mail?), otherwise be prepared to pay more and deal with a truly unprofessional DONNA (who, as a couple of her co-workers admitted, "gets a little wound up", which is a huge understatement.)
This company is very unprofessional. I was told they would arrive in 30-45 min to tow my car, ended up waiting 2 hours and 20 min. Instead of them keeping me updated with an accurate time they just kept saying the driver is 20 min away in hopes I would stop calling. I would have respected this company more if they were just honest about the arrival time. Once I asked the female dispatcher a simple question about the drivers location she got an attitude and become very rude ! It was very uncalled for because not once did I get an attitude with her even though she kept telling me inaccurate information . On the other hand, my tow truck driver was very nice, professional and very knowledgeable about his job! Unfortunately I will not do business with this company again because of how unprofessional and rude the dispatcher was. Dispatch is the line of communication between the drivers and the customers. This company should definitely reconsider who commicates with their customers.

It happened while I was driving to work on a early busy weekday morning. I gave Fairfax Towing & Recovery a call and they had Greg in route to me. Greg was very professional and friendly. He was able to get my large truck towed to the repair shop for a excellent price and in a very timely manner. You really can't ask for a better experience in a tough situation. On the phone and in person the staff were great. This was my first time dealing with needing a tow. I called a few companies, called and left messages, sent emails and got nothing even as of two days later. I called Fairfax towing once and spoke to a man and a woman both very nice. Their prices are reasonable and they were able to pick up the car in under an hour. When the driver showed up he was patient and very respectful. He took his time and was great as his job. Hopefully, I don;t need a tow again anytime soon but in a pinch I'd call Fairfax Towing again.
Got the job done. I am happy. They were estimated to come 5:40 they arrived 4. One piece of advice that does not apply to this situation don't tow a man's car when he is not there. I will not leave my car keys for anyone including my family. So, call before you arrive. But they were fine I was home at the time. Just remember you're not running a pizza delivery these are people's cars.
