5 cents a pound for cast iron is about the lowest price you could get. Staff was overly busy and didn’t really take time to explain the process. 333 lbs of solid cast iron (a boiler) for $17. I’ll go to the metal shop in Manassas next time.
Awesome place for all kinds of scrappers, employees were very helpful with sorting and categorizing my lump pile of metals and parts, great prices too!
When we got there, we needed a little bit of direction about where to go and what to do. A gentleman came out of the office and guided us. They made it very easy, drop your stuff in a bin, it gets weighted and they give you a ticket which you can cash at their ATM. I only got $2 bucks for my stuff, but it beat paying $20 to go to the recycling center and you have to throw it out yourself.
Good prices, they are fast and pay well for metal, copper etc. There is this one lady who is super nice and very helpful always smiling and happy, I believe her name is Egly. Please be kind to her, she is amazing and hard working.
The customer service was exceptional, with staff members being attentive, friendly, and quick to address any concerns. Their professionalism and warm demeanor made the entire experience pleasant and hassle-free.
The business is well run and the staff are very helpful. I had some real oddball questions and the manager was incredibly helpful in answering them. Of all the scrap yards I frequent this one is top of the list as far as I’m concerned.
Quick Quality Service, and possibly the best prices in town for metal, especially copper. Had an exceptional customer service and very quick efficient service by the staff. The manager was very courteous and was very clear in explaining the process and pricing.

I have never sold any metals before and went to the closest place near me , with no idea on what to expect, I must admit I was a bit nervous, however, when I arrived at the location. I was greeted By a guy named Sam. He answered all of my questions and even went above and beyond, by guiding me through the whole process, start to finish! I will be using Milestone Metals for all of my future scrapping needs. Thanks to the amazing customer service that Sam provided, I am no longer nervous and cant wait for my second trip back!
Hands down one of the best facility ive been to. All the staff are friendly and the prices are outstanding.That guy Sam especially has a good head on his shoulders. Place is too sketchy for me and not how I like to do business. Originally, I talked on the phone to who seemed to be the man in charge or at least who had the final say on price per pound and he told me 16 cents per pound. When I got there, I encountered another gentleman who said that he would do a better deal for me than 16 cents, walked away, and then shortly after came back and told me 62 cents per pound. After unloading everything, having it all weighed, I end up talking to who I later found out was the same gentleman I spoke to on the phone who now says the price is only 18 cents a pound. Obviously I am confused and immediately mention to him how this other guy told me 62 cents. When I pointed out the gentleman who told me 62 cents a pound, he acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about like the convo never happened. The original guy then said that 18 is the final price and they won’t go higher. For the record, I’m not upset at only getting 18 cents per pound. In fact, 16 cents is what got me in the door. But when I am told 16 then 62, and then 18 right at the last second, I just think that’s sketchy bad business. If only one person is entitled to make pricing decisions, they need to make sure their other employees aren’t saying other amounts to customers and then lying about it on top of it. They were very nice over all besides the end there where things felt very sketchy and like I had the wool pulled over my eyes. Dont think I’d ever go back after that.
Nice people working here during my brief visit. A reasonable and quick weigh in and payout process, and a fast cash out process at an on-premises ATM that rounds up or down to the nearest dollar. I got a small little chunk of chump change and they gave me two whole uncooked chickens since it was the day before Thanksgiving!
Really great experience bringing in a washing machine for recycling. A bit chaotic, but enough direction to figure out where to go and what to do. Neat operation with everyone zipping around, focused on different materials. Proud of my meager 9$ for that terrible washer!
Dear truckers if you’re coming here to pick up you have to check in at the front door and don’t drive all the way in the back into building you have to drive your truck rear to the pick up area
I found this place last week. It's a little small BUT the crew there is super fast and helpful! It was my 1st time and they sent the manager out to explain their process. He was super nice and professional...even went through my stuff and found items worth more than I thought! Their prices are very competitive but given the service, I'll recommend to all!!!
Great customer service! They take their time to help you figure out where you’ll put your metal. Overall, 10/10 would recommend, much nicer then other places. Sandra was very helpful, not much places give such good customer service!
i am really satisfied with the location, pricing and way they treat there clients. the conviniance is great and the money you get is really worth it. the service is very understanding and the prosedure is very fluid. overall the place its great to sell you metal.
Fairfax County is fortunate to have Milestone Metals as an environmental partner and service provider. Their service, efficiency, and kindness make it easy to get in, take care of business, and get on your way quickly. Every time I've been there it has been a positive experience. Service has improved exponentially since my last visit a year back . Entire area is asphalted clean with no potholes . In and out is less then 15 mins .

I normally don't rate companies that often but the consistent good customer service and better pricing than any other places in the area has made me change my mind. These guys are on top of their game at the moment, the service is swift and convenient, the pricing is very often the best around and the staffs are friendly and good-natured. I will definitely be back!!
They have the best price around, i did my home work before taking the copper and found these guys pay the best price around. The service is also the best as they are the only yard around that open 5am in the morning. they are also open on the weekends
