I drive an ID.4 AWD. Around 80K miles my range dropped 70+ miles overnight right after an error saying “some electrical function not functioning properly.” Dealer replaced single cells twice — zero change. Now Volkswagen (NA HQ Reston) calls it “normal degradation.” That’s nonsense. Real battery wear is gradual — this was a sudden failure that started well within VW’s 100K warranty. They just shrugged and sent me off. My friend’s Tesla had the same issue — Tesla replaced the whole pack instantly. VW? Blame and denial. Anyone buying an ID.4, beware — you’re on your own when the battery fails. Look at those pictures and imagine getting yourself kicked outta there well within warranty, they (HQ Reston) have no valid reason to give me and just hiding their faces behind dealerships and dealerships simply say sorry its HQ and not us.. simple as that and u r left in the middle of no where

Pure enjoyment. Not going to lie….. Odviously we all know the horror stories of car buying. However this dealership Darcars Fairfax exceeded all expectations! From full detailed communication to the complete customer service experience was excellent. Salesman Mr. Marcos and Financial Advisor Mr. Sai made my day. Definitely appreciate all their help in purchasing my vehicle!

I got my first car and it was just the best experience the help The everything yall could do to try and lower my price and it was so helpful. I couldn't thank you guys enough for helping me get this car. I'm speechless, you guys did phenomenal. I would highly recommend these guys, especially Marcos and sai because they were just a big help. They just made everything perfect. Basically. I never felt so welcomed and helped. I literally couldn't stop smiling even while driving back home with my new car. It was great, and I think you both so much. 10 out of 10 would definitely go again in a heartbeat.

One of the rules I live by is to give credit where credit is due - that credit is due to Israel, who is a Finance person at DARCARS Volkswagen Fairfax, 11050 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22030. Israel went far above what I expected. His customer service and finance expertise is stars and heaven above what other persons in his position have provided. I'm so grateful to have had a wonderful experience from Israel at DARCARS. Please thank him for me.

Had a recent service experience that I'm disappointed with. The service shop I regularly work with suggested going to a dealership because of their easy access to the parts needed, I chose this one because I had a good experience buying this vehicle here. The initial service appointment and diagnosis as well as the ordering of parts went smoothly, but that's where the story turns. No call from service to acknowledge they had received the parts and no time frame to expect completion, just a call several days later when it was done. Got their for pickup and the invoice was $250 dollars more than what I agreed to with no explanation, when I went to put up the invoice and amount I authorized, it had been changed without requesting a signature to approve, just used the one they had. I waited several days before posting this review as I took their customer survey and still have not had anyone contact me, guess they don't want or need my business ever again. Had someone contact me in regards to this review several weeks ago. They offered some compensation to offset the issue, however I have yet to receive or hear anything further regarding this. Guess they truly don't care.

Todd is one of the main reasons I believe AI won’t be replacing well rounded human professionals anytime soon. I’ve been bringing my Tiguan to Darcars Volkswagen for maintenance, especially now that it’s at 90k miles, which means I’ve had quite a few visits here. Each time, the experience has been smooth particularly when Todd is at the front desk. He truly knows the cars, speaks with confidence, and most importantly, focuses on building long-term customer relationships instead of just getting through the day. Working with him, I felt like I had an advocate in an area where I don’t have much expertise.

It's absolutely astonishing how they treat a customer who has gotten four cars from them over the years. They made predatory advances over Labor Day weekend and when that didn’t work out, they ghosted me and treated me embarrassingly. I have dealt with Volkswagen dealerships in Maryland, Tennessee, South Carolina, California and of course Virginia and this is the saddest most disappointing departure for our relationship. I actually called to see what I could do and spoke to their acting general manager, who said he would call me back, and ghosted me. Thank you for the unneeded Hard inquiry on my credit report for a car I didn’t need and failure at maintaining a relationship that has been established for 16 years. What a shame. Definitely not the same VW dealership of old…didnt mention names…YVW

Both my Sales consultant Ibraheem Al Fatlawi and the Sales Manager, Israel Moreno were a breath of fresh air for me. Not at all what I’ve encountered multiple times over my years and the perception an auto salesman has. I’ve been in the market “online” searching for a new car since last December and some days multiple hours. This was the first in person visit as I after 9 months was 100% sure what I wanted. I had 5 cars selected at different locations but this was my #1 pick but knew it was too good to be a reality. I knew I would be going to the 2nd or 3rd location over the weekend so wasn’t at all planning to leave that night with my dream car BUT these awesome guys at DarsCar made it happen for me! Fabulous service, kind, knowledgeable, good sense of humor that made me feel at ease & easy to communicate with. 5.000 STARS ALL THE WAY! Would do higher if possible. 4 Aug 2025 Update: Kevin Murphy and Paul Lee have been godsends for otherwise horrible experiences. They both worked to ensure I was reimbursed what was owed, and that the remaining process with the new purchase was taken care of in a timely manner. The reason I raised the rating to 2 stars and not higher is because of the entirety of my experiences. As of this date, I still have not received contact from the dealership ownership and they haven't replied or responded to this rating as they have to others who have left reviews before and after. I must only assume they just want this post to be buried over time. The 2025 Atlas is a fantastic vehicle and we are more than happy with it. Even more than we were with the 2024 Tiguan. Original Post: Thus far, the only saving grace to DARCARS VW has been the General Manager (Kevin Murphy) but I will NEVER purchase a vehicle from there again. I purchased a vehicle in 2024 through the Costco Auto Program. The initial experience was ok but the loan process/closing was an absolute mess. The finance department did not file the correct paperwork, sent an incomplete finance package to VW Credit, and sent the registration to the wrong state (VA instead of MD). Fast forward to 2025. I took my 2024 Tiguan to DARCARS VW Fairfax for the annual oil change and detailing as part of a package I purchased. The vehicle only had 8,000ish miles on it. The detailing company destroyed EVERY SINGLE LEATHER SEAT on this Tiguan, forcing me to now purchase a new vehicle. Kevin Murphy has been great to deal with. We tried to find a 2025 Tiguan R-Line in white but the one on the DARCARS lot was damaged on the rear driver's side. We could not find one anywhere else so I started looking at Atlas'. After being at the dealership almost all day, I finally found one I wanted. The sales person I dealt with (Emmanuel Dugbarty) was on a personal video conference call the entire time he was "helping" me at the same time as receiving my and my wife's personal information (SSN, DOB, Address, etc.). He was distracted the entire time and addressed my wife by the incorrect name. He even had the audacity on multiple occasions to request that we give him a 5-star review. When I had to move from sales to finance, the finance person (Paul Lee) had no idea what was going on and the deals that had been made with Kevin Murphy. Paul was essentially blind sided. He did his very best and was extremely pleasant to work with despite not having all the information. Fast forward to another week...I was forced to make the 1.5 hour trip back to the dealership because I had not received the FedEx overnight label I had been promised to be able to return the wet signed finance paperwork back to the dealership. While at the dealership with the newly purchased vehicle, Kevin asked if I had time to have the door cups and edge guards installed. I voiced that on my 2024 Tiguan, the installation was garbage and that this installation needed to be done correctly. He talked to the service department manager from DARCARS Honda, the manger of the detailing/installation people, and everyone else to stress the importance of correct installation. I have now been at the dealership for 4-hours...when the car was "ready", the door cups and edge guards were so poorly installed (crooked, air gaps, not cut correctly) that the sales manager had to intervene. Kevin Murphy ultimately promised to reimburse me to take the car to a professional installer because it was so poorly done. As of this review, I am still waiting for the "we owe" check promised to me during the initial purchase deal, reimbursement for the door cups and edge guards, and license plates/registration confirmation for the 2025 Atlas. Again, Kevin Murphy and Paul Lee were/have been great to deal with. Emmanuel Dugbartey needs to be fired immediately. The detailing/installation department needs to be fired and replaced with professionals as they represent the DARCARS name. I will NEVER purchase a vehicle from DARCARS VW. Worst car buying experience I have EVER had....EVER!

A week ago I was looking for a car and since I walked in I was attended by Amir and he was super gentle, kind and patient, he listened to what I wanted and gave me a good offer, he was always attentive to what I wanted and was very patient, at the same time as the manager Kevin, the whole team was too good and kind to me, they helped me get the car I wanted and within my budget. I highly recommend Amir Ahsan who was the person who sold me the car and always looked out for my best interest.

Great dealership and customer service, they were very direct and made the process as streamlined as possible. They gave me good a discount on my jetta and seemed adamant about offering the best possible value. I went to two other dealerships and brought the best offer I could get, which they beat. I had the most amazing experience buying my car from this dealership! Fatima was the first smiling face I saw when I walked in the door and came along on my test drive. She was extremely personable and cares about her customers. Throughout the process she continued to check in and was both professional and kind! The GM, Kevin Murphy, worked with my budget and you can really tell he cares about his customers based on his demeanor throughout the entire process. There was no smoke and mirrors or games played. This dealership is transparent, straightforward, and all around great to work with! Daji in finance was patient, kind, and walked me through each question I had in the final steps of the process and made me feel very comfortable with what I was getting! This dealership is one of a kind and I can’t imagine purchasing a car anywhere else! DARCARS VW Fairfax has earned itself a lifelong customer and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Came in once about a year or so ago, and wasn't acknowledged as I stood there for 10 minutes, so I left. I like the brand and was looking for a good family car. Since then I have stayed with our existing car, but been on the lookout for a Tiguan.. I returned and was helped quickly. Much better experience this time around, and was given great information with competitive pricing.

The team at DARCARS Fairfax VW truly does go above and beyond for their customers. I was in a bit of a tough spot with a Tesla loan from a shady dealer who shall not be name here. Over a few days of communicating by email Paul (Salesperson) and Kevin (GM) were quick to respond and make it clear they wanted to help me out how they could where they could. I originally had inquired on a 2024 Taos, but eventually left in 2025 Jetta GLI 6 Speed that I absolutely love This team cut my rate by more than HALF, and got me into a 7 year newer car with full warranty, no miles, and they did it all without making me feel like I was a burden or holding them up as some other dealers had. Whether you’re ready to buy, or need some help to get to the finish line - this is the team to get you there, and I wouldn’t send anyone anywhere else to buy a VW in the DC area. Also thank you to the sales (John and Jay) and finance (Marcio) managers involved. From start to finish it was an amazing experience. We had a very easy car buying experience with John Williams this month. I would definitely recommend him to others. It was transparent and honest. The only drawback we had was waiting 1.5 hours for the finance guy to sign the forms after having an appointment. He didn’t seem to be familiar with VW papers-I think he came from another Darcar dealership. The rest of the staff was amazing and professional. Love my new car!!

UPDATED SEPT 2024: (0/5 Stars) DO NOT use this dealership for repairs!! They have drilled a hole in my engine and cut the fuel line to my vehicle while constantly leaving old parts in my car. They would not have told me about the damage they caused or tried to fix it, if I did not bring it to a different dealership to check their work. They have charged me for needless repairs without fixing the issue. They can’t even fix simple issues, one customer came in because they installed his license plate incorrectly. In addition to their shoddy work, it is hard to get in contact with anyone. I always have to call them at least 5 times a day before I can get an actual update on my car, even if they tell me they will call me. Not to mention getting a meeting with anyone is almost impossible. DO NOT GO HERE!! They will cost you money and break your vehicle. Even with a new manager they still have the same staff who cause the same issues. I have been going to VW dealership for 10 years, and this is the worst experience I have ever had. Update September 2024: Dealership refuses to acknowledge the fact that they damaged my car. Do not go here!! They will blame you for damage they caused. If you have a serious issue, I suggest going to any other VW dealership!! Pictures provided by VW dealership in Bethesda, who told me about the problems caused by Fairfax dealership.
