Would not recommend this company from a customer service or product quality perspective. At every turn in the road there have been issues.
Called this company several times to clarify pricing. Their definition of “out the door cost” and the rest of the world is miss aligned. Shipping is outrageous. They tried to pack the bill with extra charges at every opportunity.
Based on my experience I question some of the machine work they’ve done too. Their story as to the machine work changed a few times. Sometimes the bore is out of tolerance by 1/16”, other times it is as little as 0.008”.
One simple issue, the master cylinder was received with mismatched bleeder screws. I would rather buy my own bleeders than ever talk to these people again.
I tried to rectify other issues with them but was told “The only person interested in pinching pennies here is you”, “You’ve already wasted $30 in my time talking about this.” (The up charge was more than $30) “Don’t you remember what we talked about.”
If the headache is this bad now, how can we expect a warranty to be honored down the road?
There are better companies who rebuild masters with stainless parts and they will cost the same after White Post is done ringing out your wallet!
I sent them a Midland power brake booster for a rebuild, paid for a priority rush, a 25% up charge to have it done in 2 weeks it took 3 weeks. The unit I sent was rust free, the one they outsourced and sent was a pitted rusty sandblasted and painted one. Never once did he explain I would not get my original unit back or that they would not do it in house, very disappointed. The reason I chose them is because I was under the impression that they would rebuild my booster in house

An extremely dishonest company! They took nearly a month to do a clutch rebuild that they said would be done in two days. They charged us for express shipping, as requested, but they sent it through the slow post. They failed to machine the grommet, as per our agreement. When they finally found the part and figured out what to do, they threw it in an envelope and sent it to us through the standard mail.l, further delaying our receipt if the finished work. We refused to pay in full and they're disputing this through the credit card company. As you can see by their snarky and unprofessional response, this is not a company that is pleasant to deal with. What a disgraceful business!
Terrible job on my brake booster,had to send it to them a second time for the same peoblem,brake pedal went to the floor.After spending over $800.00 it was'nt fixed .
I needed the master cylinder and all wheel cylinders rebuilt for my classic car, they did a great job and completed the work right on schedule for a fair price. I would definitely use them again
Sent a proportioning valve to them to get rebuilt. Was told when they received it that it would take 1 week to turn around. It ended up taking 3. I called after 2 1/2 weeks to follow up and was told it was already shipped (it handn't been). Called two days later and was told it would be shipped the next day and I was sent tracking info (I wasn't). Eventually it showed up a few days later, wrapped in a plastic envelope soaked in brake fluid. The brake fluid stripped most of the paint off that they painted it with, so I had to re-strip it again and re-paint it myself. Frustrating process and not worth the effort.
Sent a couple of wheel cylinders in to be lined and a set of shoes in to have new lining installed. The parts came back better than new i swear. Highly recommended.
I gave White Post a try as they came highly recommended by a couple of people I know to rebuild 4 wheel cyclinders for a 4300 mile all original 66 chevy II. I noted on my order form I wanted all my old original parts back but didn't end up receiving everything back. I called to find out where the missing original parts were only to have some one rudely tell me that there was no need for them and didn't understand why it was a big deal. I guess some people just can't follow simple instructions. Also was disappointed that they ruined all the original rubber Delco end seals as they were all in perfect condition. They had no dry rot what so ever, they actually probably could have been reused. They now all have puncture holes in them. Pretty dissatisfied.
This place is amazing for car buffs, something I'm not and I was in awe of the place. The owner walked us through and told us about every car and the work they were doing to it. It's not a open place to tour but they were very accommodating.
Billy and the team at White Post did an amazing job rebuilding ALL the brake components for our clients 89 Alfa Romeo 6. Great communication, great turn around time, and the product was amazing. Calipers, master cylinder, and brake booster looked like they just came off the shelf from 1989. Insane work. 10 stars and my company will continue to use them for any brake restorations. Thanks team.
Sent them the original master cylinder from my car that had been off the car and stored for years. It was rough. Rusty and crusty. Came back and looked better than new. Could not have been more pleased. Highly recommended.
Not sure if this counts! Was there in 1990 during a massive celebration with 6 states car clubs, confederate Air Force, and lots of celebrating. We did a tour of facility and was amazed what they could do. Not sure if anyone remembers this.
