Maverick was absolutely amazing! My friend and I got into a flash flood where her car was washed off of the road. It was too dangerous outside for any of our friends and family to come get us, so he grabbed her car, and dropped us off back at her place. It was a relief after having to be wet and cold for two hours waiting for the storm to let up. The price wasn’t unreasonable either. Common decency is hard to find these days, and Maverick certainly had it
Cameron is the owner and driver. He is kind and courteous. He went above and beyond to find a repair shop and delivered my wife and I to the site. His price was very fair. Small Town Towing is fair and honest!
Finding roadside assistance in the middle of the night, stranded in the middle of
nowhere (between Lynchburg and Charlottesville) was not easy. So thankful Cameron picked up the phone and helped troubleshoot a solution to a complicated challenge. It wasn't a fun ordeal by any measure, but I was grateful that Small Town Towing was there for me.
Maverick was our saving grace. We booked a last minute camping trip and broke down on the way to the campground- 2 hours away from home! With 3 children ages 2,7,8 - you can already imagine how that was going. Being so far away, we honestly didn’t know where to start.. with a camper and a truck!! He was professional & kind from the very beginning. If we are ever in that area and find one ourselves in this situation again, we know who to call. Thanks again from the Vaughan family!

Great business owner- courteous, promp and even gave my son a lesson on how to change a tire using our vehicle’s jack when he could have used the auto jack on the tow truck! And very reasonable price-. And super friend! He’s now saved in our family contacts!

Our experience was extremely negative with Small Town Towing. Our son attends UVA and was in a rear end collision. Thankfully, no one was injured. Living 5 hours away, we drove up to see the car. An employee told us that our car was "totaled" and the bill is 700 dollars, but then adds that we can give them $350 plus the title and they'll call it even. We contacted our insurance company and towing was covered. We informed them that our insurance will pay the bill. We planned to retrieve our car in 2 days and took off work. The day before we contacted Small Town Towing several times. By end of the day, they had not gotten paid and would not release our car. So, we waited another day. On Friday, Small Town Towing called us stating they had spoken with our insurance company and they will not cover the tow bill. In addition, they are charging us 85 dollars/day for storage. We immediately contact our insurance agent which stated they had not heard from the towing company. But reiterated they would pay it if they receive the bill. Our agent gave us specific instructions to give the towing company to fax the bill. We then gave that info to Small Town Towing. Come Monday, we called our insurance agent who stated they still have not received the bill. We informed our insurance agent how long we been trying to get it paid to get our car. Our insurance agent had to call Small Town Towing and pay them directly. Small Town Towing then charged us $765 storage fee for 9 days but it was actually 7 days $680 (had to be cash!). We took off work again and drove 5 hours to get our car. They deliberately did not contact our insurance company and lied that they did. We feel that wanted to run up the bill in hopes to get our car and make several thousand dollars to junk it out or fix and sell. Our car was not totaled. Honestly, we should have only been charged 2 days storage. I don't know how many other people they took advantaged of. Every person I have told about what we went through stated we need to contact The Better Buisness Bureau which I plan to do.
Small town towing is gonna be my first and only call for towing in the Charlottesville area. I can't thank them enough. When others can't get the job done, small town towing is there for you. Low car friendly and takes the time to get it done right. A+ service with a great attitude.
Small Town Towing always comes through for me and my friends. Lowered car friendly, experienced and willing to take jobs that AAA turns down. My buddy has a lowered Mazda RX7 and when two tow companies couldn’t tow it Small Town Towing got it and him safely to his destination. I’ll always recommend these guys over anyone else especially for car enthusiasts!
My daughter was in an accident, and the car was totaled. The care they gave my daughter at the scene was incredible, and later, the help they gave me with insurance was above and beyond. I can not say enough about the quality of service , the assistance , and the support…..highly recommended!
My alternator went bad driving in 5:15 pm traffic. Two young men answered the call. They were very professional, prompt and courteous. I highly recommend this towing service.
I would give this company 10 stars if I could! Bridgett and Seth personally came out to help after an accident when our insurance wouldn’t cooperate. They were very quick with a response, took only 20 minutes to get to us. They were so kind and waited for our ride to arrive (about 45 minutes)! No one ever wants to be in a situation where they have to deal with getting a vehicle towed, but if you do these are the people you want to be working with!
Great communication, arrived quickly. The driver who came to tow my car was positive, friendly, professional, respectful and competent. Reasonably priced. I will call next time if I need a tow. Thank you.
Their amazing driver Seth just happened to pull up behind me while I was waiting for another company my insurance assigned to me. Due to the fact that I was in the middle of the road with my flat tire, Seth politely suggested that I drive slowly to the gas station that was nearby so I wouldn't be hit from that back. He offered to follow me so I would get there safely and even changed my tire. I offered him cash but he declined and gave me his business card so my insurance company could pay him through his company. What an honest and generous person. I was super blessed to have met him today. The world needs more Seths! GIVE HIM A RAISE AND KEEP HIM AROUND FOR FOREVER!!! Thank you Seth
