Terrible customer service from ANTHONY. He does not know how things work with the day to day of his job and is completed disconnected from the customer service aspect of his job. I get you’re a parts puller, but knowing how to help paying customers is part of your day to day and job description. If there was an O’reiley’s in westlake, I’d never come here again.
I’ve visited the Advance Auto Parts in Westlake several times recently, I’ve noticed a reoccurring issue with the checkout system.. a few occasions, when purchasing items like oil or wiper blades, the items wouldn’t scan properly. The employees are friendly.. they’ve been as helpful as they can in trying to resolve it, often spending 5-10 minutes troubleshooting (once almost 20!) it seems they have to call over a manager, and the wait time for assistance can sometimes be kinda long, especially when the store is busy.. I waited once 35 minutes. The manager usually ends up manually entering the item. I’m just wondering if there might be a system glitch that could be addressed, as it seems to be a frequent problem. Even the employee, I think Chris, told me it’s been happening a lot since a system update. He told me I’m not the only one who’s complained and he’s very sorry.
By far the friendliest and most helpful staff I've ever encountered. I could see in not only my own interactions, but other customers as well, how genuinely these guys wanted to help their customers. They offered additional assistance depending on the customers specific needs, & went above and beyond for every customer present during my visit, and appeared thrilled to do so.
My serpentine belt was slipping so I stopped by to try getting some belt dressing. Seth helped me find and apply it and was super friendly and helpful. Five stars!
Stopped by today after Church to grab some windshield wiper blades. Chris the CSR went above and beyond. He checked inventory, showed me products available. He shared recommendations of brands with higher success, and then he went outside and installed them, after installation was completed he had us test them. That’s high quality customer service if you ask me. Definitely wasn’t expecting that. Thanks Chris and Thanks Advanced Auto Parts.
disappointing as always. Stopped dealing with these people years ago! Had to stop there a few days days ago for a simple headlight bulb, and they couldn't get it right. Luckily it would fit my second vehicle, but had to go elsewhere to get the right one. nothing changed.
Folks here are absolutely good people. Greg literally just walked me through changing a fuse and guided me in finding a part (and naming said part) they didn't carry. A few years back, one associate even basically changed my oil while I was 9 mos pregnant. These aren't even the only amazing service stories that my family has from this store. It's all around a really great local place. Thanks all!
Have been to this store many times over the years. Today I bought 6 golf cart batterys. Gregg helped me out and was great. A couple of guys came out with carts to get the old batterys while another had the new ones all ready to load up, and did load them up for me. There guys at Advance are always very knowledgeable and helpful. Its nice to shop local and always have a very positive experience! Oh I also checked around and online and they had the best deal and best quality! Thanks guys!

David at this location is excellent at his job. He offers the absolute best customer service. He went over and beyond to help me with an issue I had with the purchase and installation of 2 headlight bulbs from a former employee. Advance auto is very lucky to have such an awesome employee. I do have to say that Seth at this location is not helpful at all. Poor customer service. Not willing to do anything that might cause extra work. He should Take since time to observe his coworker David, so that he can see how it's supposed to be done!

Sent me on a wild goose chase for a bolt(west lake, to Roanoke, back to rocky mount) for a bolt(online said in stock) most stores had multiple. The employees seem to not know left from right, let alone where the parts are. Really hate working with advance. Oriellys is better
Tommy was extremely helpful. The store did not have one part that I needed, so Tommy called another store and asked the associate there to hold the part for me. Tommy's humor was another bright spot on a tough day.
Great people work here. They took the time to explain a lot to my granddaughter as she made the first major purchase of a battery for her first car. She has a far better idea of just how the charging system works.
These guys are great. They are always willing to help out with whatever im looking for and we are pretty much on a first name basis probably cause im in there like every day lol
Staff was very helpful. Advance has gradually improved over the past 5 years. In my more recent experience, the staff seems significantly more knowledgeable and it seems they have also been training staff on customer service. Staff seems to be willing to do anything they can to help you find or order the part, tool or other item you need.
Have not updated business hours. Wasted my time driving down there to find they close at 8:00 and not at 9:00 as listed. Two employees inside wouldn't answer phone or acknowledge me being at the door. Being from the Roanoke area, I've always tried to support Advance Auto Parts. Will now be taking my business to any of their competitor's stores.
The store was full, only had one guy working, seems someone called in sick last minute. But the guy working David was taking care of everyone very fast, and got the customers out quickly, with the right part.
Use them alot. Clean store. Nice employees. Most items available. If not they will get your parts for you in a good timely fashion. Employees are friendly and very efficient. Go their alot. Very helpfully.
Had to buy a new battery for a car. Come to find out that this car has a glass memory chip when you remove the battery. If you're not aware that it's there it will wipe out the whole memory in your vehicle and you have to take it to the dealership to have it corrected. The staff knew this at the time. Came out installed our new battery we lost no memory in the vehicle was very happy we went there and they were up to date on the various provisions for new vehicles.
Ok so we were having some radiator troubles whilst traveling home from smith mountain lake. We had a question about our car and Denham kindly escorted us to the hood of the car. He noticed what was wrong with our car and saved us a LOT of time. We spent a lot in the store, but it would've been triple if Denham had not have recognized the issue with our vehicle. The dude was amazing. Best customer service from a car parts company I have ever received. We need him to come work at our store!! Thanks dude!
