While working for Amazon, I got a flat tire and found myself stranded in the middle of nowhere. Within 20 minutes, TJ from Big Toe Towing showed up and completely turned the situation around. He was fast, professional, and incredibly friendly. What really stood out was his attention to detail and customer care — he even opened the door for me, which may seem small, but it made a stressful situation feel a lot easier. On top of the excellent towing service, he also took the time to share helpful information about local services, which I really appreciated. It’s rare to come across someone who combines efficiency with genuine kindness. I would absolutely recommend TJ and Big Toe Towing to anyone in need of reliable roadside assistance.
My wife's car needed towing just 5 miles. When the driver called her to let her know he was 15 minutes she went outside and waited. Driver pulled up drove by and kept going. We both repeatedly kept calling him back but he never answered. Then decides to text her and say he couldn't wait for her he had other jobs to due. I called and asked to speak with a manager I was told he out the office but when I told them it was for a complaint he was out till Monday. Today is Tuesday no response yet and they want even answer to phone when I call. I guess I call the BBB! But wouldn't recommend them to no one very very unprofessional.
I called for assistance with my dump trailer and had Chandler McNeil respond. Within an hour of my initial call, he was on scene and got my trailer back in service. Chandler was very professional, respectful and knowledgeable. I’m not sure of many other companies and drivers that would have gotten this done so quickly. This will be my first call for my business and personal use, going forward. Very responsive company, quick reaction time and got my equipment back on the road fast! Great job Chandler!
AAA contract with them, i call for a flat tire @7 pm, i keep getting arrival time longer & longer by their updated text. By 11pm, i got a butt dial phone call from the driver leaving a nasty message about how he hate all the customers, cursing them out by talking to himself on that 5 minutes voicemail. I call him back & asked him when he is going to show up, he answered 30 minutes, never showed up, i called again, he said 1 hour, & never showed up, then i cal, & he lied & said he went to the wrong location ( how can he go to the wrong house when he got my phone number & address? then said he will be there in 15 minutes & never showed up or answered his phone. Then i get a call from AAA , dispatcher said my membership is cancel cause the driver said i threaten him. i told the owner of the company & he also gave me the run around & said he will investigate it & get back with me. 1 month gone by & i heard nothing. i had to call the owner & he said " i cannot discuss about my interview with the driver or let you make contact with the AAA liaison. DONT USE THIS COMPANY
I have AAA and they set Big Toe Towing to help. Caleb came and rescued me due to a flat tire. He was kind and very helpful. I would recommend his towing service to anyone in need.

Our car was stuck in the mud so we called to get the car out of the mud. Guy showed up and allegedly “knocked on the door” and left after nobody answered the door. We got an automated text that he was here and immediately went outside but no one was there. After a few minutes we called him to make sure we didn’t give an incorrect address. He immediately took a harsh tone with his voice and said “if you’re not going to be there next time, you need to leave the keys in the car,” we told him we wouldn’t do that as respect people’s time, and that we’ve been at home waiting for him. When we pointed out that he was not being very respectful in accusing us of not being there, he proceded to hang up on us. Driver very irresponsible and disrespectful. He had our phone number and he could’ve called when he got to the house but chose to only knock which everyone knows could have been a soft knock that won’t travel well. Should’ve called when nobody answered the door. Either way, accusing customers of wrongdoing because you were lazy to pick up your phone and call was pretty rude.
AAA assigned us to Big Toe, they sent out a driver as fast as they could on a busy Saturday in Lynchburg.

Couldn't ask for better. We had a call AAA for a battery jump. Richard was good to call, give a time that was accurate, and was at our home when stated.
Although the jump was successful, he assessed the battery life and stated the battery needed to be replaced. No high sales, just a price and said he had one
Richard installed the battery and we were very satisfied.
DJ and Big Toe Towing saved the day. Quick response. Very helpful and DJ is a good human. It was an interaction that made the breakdown worthwhile. The world needs more DJs.
Too often towing services are the unsung hero but they really were for me. On yesterday June 10th my van stalled out at a busy intersection in Lynchburg Virginia and BigToe via an AAA call brought you to my aide. Tyler was faster than fast and the epitome of professionalism. He removed me from danger before I had time to sweat it. I can’t convey my thanks strong enough for you being there for me, really thanks. No doubt Tyler will continue the great service and be the hero you are to many others. I honestly can’t recall better service ever.
Had a great experience with this team at Big Toe Towing today after we got a flat and discovered that our car didn't include a spare. Called AAA and were told it would be an hour and a half wait... But then less than five minutes after, we got a follow up call from the guys at Big Toe who showed up less than 30 minutes later. The team was friendly, efficient, and professional yet personable. During the ride to the repair shop (thank you for the ride!), I told them that our toddler LOVES tow trucks, so when we pulled up to the repair shop where my husband and son were already waiting, Carson made sure that my son was able to watch the whole process of unloading the car, turned on the flashing lights and showed him how the levers work. We appreciated their service very much!
Had a wonderful experience getting my car towed today. The car is classic so I'm very particular about its treatment, and the gentleman who provided my tow took EXCELLENT care of my car and I felt comfortable from beginning to end. Dead battery,AAA associated .. came quickly and the technician who came was VERY professional, friendly, clean and appropriately dressed, described everything he was going to do before doing anything . Took measures to keep car clean while working . Did what he needed, explained billing procedures , cleaned up after working .

Richie called immediately after I contacted AAA and asked questions about my car situation. He gave me a quick ETA and arrived in 20 minutes. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the dead battery right away. I really enjoyed his assistance and his van is made me smile, with the disco ball and LED lights. Last night, on the way home from Lynchburg Hospital where we just lost our son, we hit 2 large metal objects on 29. So did several other drivers. We stopped to check the tires, and others had stopped, as well. A wonderful driver of a roll back, I think DT, from Big Toe Towing was there offering to change tires for all of us. Would like to thank Brandon for his prompt and efficient job of towing our vehicle this morning after power steering line ruptured. He did extremely well in communicating his status and ETA prior to arriving. We went thru AAA and will definitely request BIG TOE Towing and Recovery when needed again.
This is the best towing service in Virginia and the best service I have ever received. I have specifically been helped by Brandon twice and each experience was outstanding. Not only was the service itself professional and quality the employees and customer service is what makes Big Toe stand above the rest. I would not go anywhere else.
As I was driving through Blue Ridge, VA on Hwy 460, an incredible and miraculous thing happened to me. I was doing the speed limit at 65mph in my cargo van, when suddenly an inner voice told me something was bad wrong. So I immediately put my hazard lights on and dropped speed down to about 20mph. That’s when my left front tire blew. It happened completely without warning and about 200 yards before a steep curve to the right. If I had not dropped speed, I would have flipped my cargo van repeatedly into the opposite lane of traffic going the opposite way. So there is no logical explanation for me to even be able to write this right now (other than God looking out for me.) Whom I am beyond words, thankful for.
After my tire blew and I had safely found a driveway to pull off onto, I called AAA. That’s when Brandon from Big Toe Towing came to help me. I must honestly say that Brandon is the best tow truck driver I have ever dealt with. He was eager to do anything he could to help, even buying me a bottled water at a convenience store, en route to a tire store.
Brandon is an exceptionally professional, hard working, humble and kind employee. But what I found quite unique is he had nothing but very positive things to say about his employer! I’m from a fairly sizable city and I have never heard any employee say such kind things about their boss. I take those peoples words for it because I think a quite a number of bosses have a whole lot to learn about how they need to treat their staff. But Brandon really articulated his boss and his company in the most glowing light possible. Which makes me feel good about doing business with this company.
So thank you so much to Brandon and this company as a whole. After this incredible, miraculous event that happened to me (which might have given a lot of people nightmares for a very long time) you have served as the icing on the cake. An event that I’ll never forget and will always be eternally grateful for, as crazy as that may sound.
Was in town less than two hours with a rental SUV when a deer ran in front of us. Deer turned out to be ok, SUV grill and radiator were not. These guys were fast, friendly, and professional. Went out of their way to help our whole family who was stranded on the side of the road (including our baby) and make sure we got home safely. Highly recommend these guys!
Brandon was an excellent tow truck driver. He helped me get my car started and taught me a lot about the engine. He was very kind and courteous to me as well as very quick and efficient.
I had an issue with my car being stuck "off the beaten path", and called my insurance company (USAA). They quoted me a price and sent me a message that these guys would be at my location in 90 minutes.
I got a call from Big Toe roughly 6 minutes later, and was informed they'd be here in 30!

When the driver picked up my husband's truck, everything seemed fine. Then we received a call from a friend who saw the truck come OFF the tow and land in the middle of 460. Tried to contact the owner and it took 2 days to hear anything from them. Waiting to hear if any further damage occurred.
They towed 3 cars for me at one time. Sent three guys out with two trucks. Very professional, showed up when they said they would. Price was very good for three cars. I would highly recommend them. Took very good care of my cars.
I had an appointment for my Jeep to be picked up at 8:30 the next morning and towed to a shop. They asked that I text the address for the pickup and drop off locations. I text immediately, but I never heard anything. Next day rolls around without communication. When I called the person that answered (different than the day before) said he didn’t know what happened and the owner couldn’t get back to us until later.
I went with Fat Boy Towing that was polite and professional when making the appointment.
Carson was our tow truck driver and he was very professional. He arrived quickly and was so kind to get us, our truck and our enclosed trailer home from Lynchburg where we broke down to our house in North Carolina. I would recommend their service highly to anyone. Thanks again for helping us get home :)
