This place sucks I really get tired of looking for cars online and this place constantly pops up with crap cars that don’t work. stop advertising cars online that don’t work keep them on your website with this place considered as a salvage yard it doesn’t make sense to advertise as working vehicles or you shouldn’t be in the car business thanks for nothing
East Coast Auto Source, like any other salvage yard thinks the cars are worth the slightly high prices they charge, ECAS does a bit better than most... Only reason I bought my car from them is it was exactly what I wanted, options and everything. Massive yard, lots of cars to choose from but still pricey.
I would have been a long distance purchaser, if it had not been for the poor customer service reviews here, towards distance shoppers. I'm posting this just to let you know that it does make a difference how you treat people, especially those that have to travel in order to purchase. Pictures that don't match a vehicle, because the pictures are several years old, A Deal Breaker for me. I appreciate the good and bad reviews people took time to post here, know that your reviews do make a difference to a business.
BUY HERE!!!! Yes they were a little slow but that's cause they sell GOOD quality parts they dont just rip the parts out of the car. Very happy with this place, we bought a used engine $3200.00 and we couldn't be happier as a Repair Shop and a Family owned business.

WATCH OUT FOR THE OWNER GEORGE. East Coast auto will waste as much of your time as humanly possible. I called three days in a row asking for numbers on a truck. I was interested in purchasing. Each day George told me he would send me the numbers within an hour or two and a week later, I’ve still gotten no numbers. Very unprofessional. I assumed it was just a new hire sales representative. But when I found out, it was the owner it made the situation that much better.
Made the inquiry, part available and Steve Austin sent me the secure link for payment. Scheduled pickup and my plans changed, called Steve back to let him know my new plans. Everything went smooth, arrived at their location, part already pulled. Wish I lived closer.
Not exactly what I expected. They had some reasonable prices vehicles but not ready to drive most needed major work(motor), as a junk yard I was amazed at the 10k plus to 22k prices. Best price for running 3k and up, that's not a bad price but I guess I wasn't expecting that from a junk yard lol. The man wasn't very helpful, seemed unconcerned that what was advertised at under 2k we expected running and they wasn't driveable.
Very polite and straightforward team of people, George was able to let me put a deposit down on the vehicle before purchasing. Will be coming back in the future
I had a great experience with East Coast Auto. I bought my 2022 Ford Maverick eight months ago. George and Holly were super helpful. I got the vehicle towed same day for a good price and have had 0 problem with my truck. I will definitely look for my next vehicle here and have already recommended East Coast Auto to my friends.
One caveat, the vehicles are sold as is. So I would recommend going in person to inspect the vehicle before buying. They will let you crank and test drive the vehicle on the lot.

Spoke to someone about a vehicle, that said zero miles, but then confirmed it was 21k miles. A week later its on there with 170k miles so i call back and the guy on the phone said it just came in this week, but It's been in my browser history for over 6 weeks. There was also different info on pricing each time I called. I wouldn't trust them... or make sure you get things in writing or record your conversations
Edit / Update: George started working with me and attempted to clear things up and make it right. He followed up with me numerous times. He tried his best to find me what I was looking for and was very polite and professional, and through our many talks it became clear that he's a good guy to work with. So I'm bringing it from 1 star to 4 stars. Thank you George.
Advice: if you're looking at an online vehicle at east coast, ask for George, dont trust the other guy.
I drive 2 rebuilt title cars and love both of them. If you want a late model car with a great discount, don't pass on the deal. I have no intentions of getting rid of mine. 10 years and 3years after purchase.
I left a $500 deposit on a rebuilt vehicle, which I saw listed on their website. The vehicle was previously a salvage flood vehicle that East Coast Auto advertised as being FULLY repaired with a new Rebuilt title. I was assured by the salesman George that the vehicle is in perfect working condition. I drove all the way from New York to Virginia to see the car in person and to purchase it. When I inspected the car in person, the vehicle was riddled with multiple problems, including a check engine light, an emissions warning light, and the main navigation screen would not turn on. I politely informed them of the issues and that due to all of the undisclosed issues with the vehicle I was no longer interested in purchasing and that I would like my deposit back. The salesman George, who was previously very friendly, completely changed his demeanor and was very discourteous and rude to me and said my deposit is forfeit and that they would not give me my money back. I argued back and forth but they would not budge on the issue and instead insisted that my only option was to let their mechanic fix it which I was not interested in doing because this was not part of the original deal and I no longer was confident in the salvage repairs of the vehicle. I'm a very reasonable person and I understand things happen, but I'm not going to be forced into buying a $36,000 vehicle that is broken and was not as advertised. All I wanted was my deposit back, and I wouldnt have been upset. If they just took accountability, maybe I would have bought a different vehicle from them. But these people are so money-hungry and dishonest that they are willing to throw their reputation in the trash just to steal $500 from potential customers. Truly disgusting behavior. Please, if you shop here, do not be fooled by their low prices and polite southern hospitality. It's all a facade to hide their crooked schemes.

After posting this review, East Coast Auto Source called me and agreed to give me my deposit back. However I will not be taking down this review because they had sooo many chances to make things right initially when it mattered most and treated me so poorly and wasted so much of my time and money traveling from NY to Virginia and back. Also, even though they were nice to me over the phone, it was only after I posted this review. They told me that they would give me my deposit back IF I took down the review. They still don't get it. Terrible people.
My experience with East Coast Auto Source could not have gone any better. George not only had great communication, but took the time to understand our needs and restrictions when buying a car for our daughter in college. George was very kind and approached our car buying as a father of daughters…..get something safe and reliable. There is no doubt that I will returning to buy more vehicles from George in the future. Just purchased my 5th car from here. Heck of a steal as always. All of the vehicles I've purchased from George still run great, just needed a bigger vehicle for my family.
Without an “eyes on” inspection, I wouldn’t trust George or East Coast Auto with an online purchase. I trusted the posted photos and George to walk me through the inspection process. I was told that all was well. What wasn’t disclosed was that the car had been sitting in a dirt lot for 4 years. The muddy car arrived with 4 dry rotted tires, a dead battery and a partially open window that made the interior smell of mud and mildew.
Edit: The passage of time does nothing to diminish the truth of what I said......and we did talk, you offered me $200. Compare the pics.

I just bought my daughter's first car from East Coast. The prices are reasonable & the inventory is huge. Everyone has been super friendly, helpful and more than willing to take time to answer any, & all, questions. I have called back multiple times with more questions, & in addition to answering them, I am always welcomed to call back anytime if other questions arise. I've been telling all of my friends to look at East Coast when they go to buy their next vehicle! I know I will be back!

I loved it here. Never been to Virginia before but the people here gave me the experience I needed . I did not have hard time getting the help I needed. Shoutout to Holly and Sabrina. They were very attentive and you could tell they love their job. The lot is HUGE and a bit unorganized but that's understandable. I bought my new car off the lot with no issues. They took care of anything that wasn't listed on the website with no issues. Everything checked out. One thing to look forward to: the lot drives with one of the mechanics on the lot. The golf cart type machines they use to drive you around are so fun! Please wear clothes/shoes you don't mind getting dirty !
Thanks guys, I able to purchase the trucks from here, the setup it's a little un-organized but it's most definitely a great place to grab a bargain for used cars. Yes take a mechanic if you can to help you judge the car or somebody that knows about cars. Some need a lot of work but some others just need to replace pieces like bumpers, tires, windshields, but it's on you to take on that ordeal. Thanks again to the guys who help us outside at the yard.

I have been doing business with George for the last 10 years and he is a great guy! Have never been disappointed and he always delivered what he said..I have also referred several friends, who were very happy as well ! To begin with I have purchased about 7 cars from George, not to flip but because it's cheaper to own more than one car..then to pay a high car payment on a new one and the insurance..The blue z-car was my first purchase and was an most excellent purchase, never had a problem with it and this car pictured is 7 years old .. it's sold to a very happy owner who praised the great condition it was in. The second blue Honda was the most recent...have kids now so I needed a coupe.. interior is spotless and leather..East Coast Auto Source has been good to me. Thank you George!
I recently purchased a 1999 Vette. The staff were friendly and courteous, especially Sabrina. It took a while to get the title, but that falls on Va DMV and not East Coast Auto. Overall I’m very happy with my car and looking forward to getting it back on the road. Who knows I may get something else down the road. My family has gotten 4 cars here now. My equinox is practically brand new minus a couple small things and is worth a lot more than I paid. If you’re looking for another car you will guaranteed save by going here. Everyone is really nice and accommodating. They helped me a lot. Definitely worth checking out before you buy your next car.
I bought a Jeep Rubicon from East Coast. George, Martin, and all the staff were friendly and great to work with! I did all the work myself to fix the Jeep and now enjoy it every day. It was a fun and mildly challenging project. I would definitely do it over again!
Martin is very helpful and great to work with. I bought a 2017 GMC Canyon from East Coast and was pleased with my purchase overall. Sometimes salvage titles can be delayed from insurance companies so make sure you have the title before paying for the vehicle in full. Due to my title being delayed over a month, I ended up paying penalties in my state to legalize it since the 45 day period was past.
I had a very good experience with these guys. George was willing to listen to my concerns and let us agree on a selling price. Everything was very seamless. I live about 2.5 hours away and had difficulty arranging shipment of the vehicle. George was able to recommend a shipper. This guys was great! He was very professional and even offered to help me get the car up into my garage.
