All around fantastic company my contact was Jordan Lam, and she is amazing very easy to work with and always kept us in the loop. they get the job done 10 out of 10 we took our bucket truck to get worked on because none of the local mechanics could figure it out. Excel got it taken care of extremely fast and now we will be taking our entire fleet to them. there 45min. to an hr away but it is absolutely worth it.

I'd drive a freight liner. Cascadia had a code. Come up the night before woke up called excel. The ladies in the service area and the gentlemen. Are super nice took my phone call first thing in the morning. Told me first come first serve. But they would take a look at it as soon as I got there. That was reassuring. I did get there 15 minutes before they went to lunch. But after lunch, I was expecting to be there all afternoon till closing, and that did not happen. I probably counted 4 to 6 mechanics, maybe more give or take they were moving. So much and moving so many trucks into the garage and getting them out. I lost count them guys were super great. The gentleman that did take my truck in super nice. He explained to me what was wrong. What happened? They have a nice lounge area. Super nice seats. I did have my dog so I sat outside but they did tell me I could go upstairs into the lounge with my dog but we sat outside most of the time. There's only one vending machine. Had a problem getting snacks and kept saying they were out so I could only get a couple sodas, but grubhub was available. I had Pizza Hut delivered, so it wasn't too bad. There's nothing around within walking distance, to get something to eat. There is a burger food truck 15 minutes away. They have great reviews, but they don't deliver. So if you're looking for food, either bring something before you get there or call and have something delivered, there is a b p gas station.I believe with a subway right before you turn on the street to go to excel. They do have restrooms. Everything was nice and clean. It's a really nice facility, really big nice parts department. I even went in there afterwards got me some parts. Everybody in there was super helpful. I have no complaints. I'm sure you could always find something somewhere, but none of us like to Go to a dealership. Or even a garage, to get your truck work done. But I tell you what they blew any truck stop away and hands down for freightliner, dealership, and I believe they also work on.Western stars, but I saw all kinds of trucks in there, peter belts, internationals, macks so they pretty much do a lot of everything they even do trailer work. I saw a body shop. I saw 2 bays at the end for body shop, but it was a great experience. And then I can tell you, I've been to many, I even sat 3 days at a freightliner dealership, one time. And that was probably the worst experience cuz, I left there. With the same problem. these guys, our two thumbs up, and 10 stars.

My experience was great. Courtney came out on golf cart to greet and check me in as soon as office opened. Mechanic and tech pulled truck in to check things out and discovered the problem quickly. Leaking DEF filter O ring. Fixed problem in a timely manner and Gave me a call to let me know truck was ready to go and to return keys. Very pleased with the team at Excel. Ben diamond

Chris and Preston provided best service ever. Belt tensioner and batteries were replaced. Second time got fast and reasonably priced repair at this facility. Recommend to all!!!!

Came here Thursday July 3rd at 5pm. Dealer was closing in 3 hours and was going to be closed the next 3 days for the holiday. Chris the service writer was very helpful and was able to fit me in for a diagnosis. I had multiple fault codes for accelerator and a check engine light on. Jordan the mechanic was able to figure out that I had faulty CPC, swapped with new CPC, programmed it, check engine went away, truck is back to normal. Thank you guys!

My tractor was towed in due to coolant leak. Find out it was the radiator had blown. Needed a new radiator. They got it completed in a timely manner and Chris in service department set me up with a shuttle to hotel and when completed called me and told me my truck was ready for pickup. Got there, Chris had paperwork all ready and waiting for my signature and keys. Also gave me a ride to my truck on the golf cart. I recommend here for service and if you do go here deal with Chris he will take care of you and be courteous to you.

The service writer Courtney, and the technician were very professional, and efficient and explained every process step, by step. Courtney went way out of her way to make my time there as pleasurable and painless as possible. I could not be happier, and will definitely recommend The Excel Truck Group, to everyone I know that ownes a Freightliner/KD

Courtney and Wes We’re absolutely amazing. Was the fastest service I have ever had done at any dealership I had warranty work done that took other dealerships a week and a half to do and they had it done in less than a day. Thank you guys so much my forever dealership.

We had amazing experience here today. Chris is a lifesaver. We came in Derate last night late , loaded with Milk that needed to be urgently delivered. This morning the repair shop opened at 7AM and worked on short hours because is Saturday. At 1pm our truck was ready to hit back the road! Chris is great Service advisor.

Driver takes the time to make sure are order is correct and on time. (It almost always is). Good experience with all the staff I have delt with.

Brought my truck in for a blocked starter and a failure in the cpc system. Techs were able to get me fixed up quick, and found other looming issues that could have shut me down somewhat soon, in the future. Spoke with Chris throughout the week in the service department, and he was able to give me details throughout the process to keep me informed. Found ABS issues that had cropped up, when I went to pickup the truck, that I believe were new, as the truck has a history of popping up errors not long after being repaired. Shop was able to get that resolved in under 30 minutes. Would definitely feel comfortable bringing my truck back into Weyers Cave, if needed, again. With any luck, hopefully it won't be necessary.

This place is great!!! we had the PTO stop working on one of 2024 Western Star 49X tractor while trying to load milk on a cold snowy day (02/12/25). Excel was very busy and because of the nature of or business they worked us in ASAP, and were able to help us through our problem. MARK KLINE and DUSTIN AMBROSE were great, went over and above. We will be back again. GOOD Company and GREAT People. THANKS, THANKS, THANKS!!!!!

The lady at the front desk was nice and understanding with our dogs. The lit was quite full of trailers hard to get around. Busy place. We were both treated respectfully. They did have a grumpy man,but who doesn't.

I have to say this company at the Weyers Cave location is 100% professional, caring & does phenomenal work. Our commercial box truck was hit by a huge deer and damaged the whole front end disabling it on the back roads of WV. Chris & Kirt worked with the tow company, our insurance & us (3 states away!). I highly recommend if you need to service a commercial vehicle… you call these guys! Even in the late hours (after they had closed up for the night) I was able to text them questions. Again, thank you for taking care of us!!!

Good, honest mechanics! They get me in quickly, and the waiting area is really nice and comfy. Definitely the nicest truck shop I’ve ever been to. My husband, Tom, a driver with Crete/Shaffer, recently had a great experience at the Weyers Cave location of the Excel Truck Group. A couple of months ago, he had accidentally left 2 big bags of his personal belongings at their shop. So he called to ask them if they could hold onto everything until he could come back to pick up it up. Every employee he spoke to was very nice, professional and reassuring, especially Kurt, when Tom would call to check on his things. They really went out of their way to do him such a big favor. And, the body work they did on his truck was excellent. Thanks for everything, Kurt!

Very fast service fist Frightliner dealership I have seen who did PM service in 2 hours. Chris was at service desk very nicely explain everything too me . He was very nice and treated all his customers very respectful. Keep kit good work 👍👍👍

This location at Weyers Cave went above and beyond. I recommend them to anyone in this area. We have a 45' RV that had a coolant leak as we were travelling through the area. Called Excel Truck Group and spoke with Courtney who sent Kent to our location on a exit ramp. Could not fix on the road, hooked us up with Penn Laird Towing (5 star as well). Chris in service was fantastic, got RV in right away n Preston started working on it and fixed it up. They have a lounge with amenities, ordered pizza n chilled till it was done. Thanks to everyone who helped and got us back on the road. 5 star plus!

Awesome shop! I brought in a trailer needing several welds fixed as well as a custom tail light fixture done up and they got me right in! The lot is a mess yes but it's really not the end of the world. I was back to rolling that very same day and they have a bathroom for drivers as well as a lounge area. Can't say enough about the amazing service I received here!!

Excel Truck Group in Weyers Cave VA has been by far the best shop I've ever taken my Truck to. I own an older Truck with more than 1.5 million miles on it, and am trying to keep it in good shape so as to make a few bucks. The service staff of Daniel,Mark, Christian, and Courtney are top notch and professional. They try hard on keeping me informed of the best path towards getting my Truck back on the road. I've been to shops elsewhere which kept me in limbo about sometimes an easy job to sit most of the day waiting for them to complete it , only to find out they weren't going to get it done that day. And luckily with barely enough time to run it to another shop to fix quickly and have me on my way. This would never be the case at Weyers Cave.

Today started off as a very bad day. I googled and I called Excell because they are a Freightliner dealership. When I first called I was put through to the service department. I spoke to Mr. Mark who suggested a towing company and got me wrote up in the system. When I arrived everyone was so polite!! While discussing the issues of the truck one of the mechanics stopped what he was doing and looked at the truck. I explained to him I was under a load and how important it was to get back up and running asap…. I hate I didn’t get his name. He went out of his way gathering the necessary parts and supplies, plus went the extra mile of steam cleaning the engine before getting me back on the road!! There was oil over my entire engine and hood. I’m so thankful it wasn’t a hard job to fix, I’m thankful he was honest and didn’t try to take advantage of my naivety. It’s not so much what people say to you but how they make you feel! Thank you again Excel- Weyer Cave!! I made it to my destination to deliver the load! I get ridiculed for always going to the dealership but for peace of mind and the efficiency in which they handle the job; I will continue to stick with the dealership.
