Nothing else to really say. Reviewers pretty much match up with their service. My vehicle was towed and even when I explained that I literally work not even 500 feet away from where I was towed they said they were going off what they’re driver was telling them of which I tried even asking on the scene why I was being towed and instead the driver decided to drive off without giving me a answer. Very unprofessional and is not how you conduct business. I should not have to leave work for your wrong doing
This dude almost ran me over and then proceeded to threaten me and harass me when I called him out abt being careful of people crossing the street, not even towing related, but this really shows the unprofessionalism and criminal activity this company is involved in and allows to go on with their company operators. No wonder this company is hated by everyone in Arlington
They are very rude and disrespectful. Especially Gina, I’m not sure what her tittle is. They damaged my car during or after they brought it to the lot. I gave Gina a call about it. Without even hearing the facts she jumped to conclusions of denying the damage was done by them. She lied about looking into the issue on Wednesday even though the report was done on Thursday. They’re scammers. Arlington county needs to shut them down. Look at the reviews.
The woman who works the front desk blonde, heavyset was extremely rude and racist towards me - even yelling at me at some points . I was visibly crying and distressed after my car was towed from being parked maybe 5 minutes. She threatened to call the cops on me after I paid to get my car released simply because I was upset and crying over an understandably stressing situation. I truly have never met someone who had no compassionate and so condescending truly one of the worst experiences of my life.
If I could give 0 stars I would. As everyone else has said, this company is extremely predatory and will not even own up to their mistakes. They wouldn't refund a friend of mine even when he had paperwork from rhe DMV proving they were in the wrong. Gold's Gym in Arlington is their main area - steer clear!!!!
They towed my car today while I was seeing a patient of mine in one of the condos in Falls Church. I’ve been seeing that patient for the past three months and have been parking there without any problems. But today, Advanced Towing towed my car even though I told them that I was visiting a resident in that building and the people at the front desk were aware of that. I was late for my patients and I had to pick up my car from the tow lot. During my quick break I decided to check my car to make sure they didn’t damage anything and viola, there were some scratches in my bumper. SMH. I’d have to file a dispute with my credit card so they can investigate this. Advanced Towing doesn’t operate like a business—it preys on people.
Also, the woman in their office—blonde, heavyset—is shockingly rude, as though you owe them your car.
They towed my vehicle from the building (parking garage) I’ve lived in for over a year for not displaying a parking placard. Said placard was always in place but somehow was not there when I went to pick up my vehicle. They either accidentally or intentionally destroyed it by accessing my vehicle so they could tow my vehicle and receive payment. Not much I could do even when demanding proof. Highly illegal. Please be aware.
This company has a racket going. I was in a building for 5 mins and they towed my car. Claimed the parking spot I was in was for that building yet the sign just said 30 mins parking. Nothing about what building. This company should be shut down and employees put in jail. It’s a scam.
Who tows the towing company that parks illegally in Arlington? Advanced Towing was parked illegally at the corner of Washington Boulevard and N. Lincoln Street in order to surveil the Giant grocery store parking lot on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 12:35pm.
I was parked in a 10mins limit parking. I decided to come back in less than 5 minutes rushing in to a store just to pickup orders and my car was gone.
The towing car parks right in front of the spot waiting for anyone to that is going to park and immediately as soon as you leave the car, he starts towing it up. Ridiculous!!!
This company is a bunch of thieves, they took my car from a 7eleven while I was in the car, the driver start to asked me $200 that's ridiculous.when I went to de office, I asked why drivers are asking for $200 cash and a arrogant manager answered he's my son and he can do that. Then I asked if is normal that he has a woman in the car while he was working, he said is his wife. Please don't call this company they are thieves.
I parked in an empty lot across from &pizza with my friends to grab a quick bite. We were back outside in 15 minutes. The car I was driving is incredibly special to me — it belonged to my grandfather, who recently passed away. So when I stepped outside and saw it gone, my heart sank. I thought it had been stolen.
Turns out, I had mistakenly parked in the Gold’s Gym lot — which was completely empty and closed at the time. A single sign was posted, but in the rush of grief and distraction, I overlooked it. My mistake. But the punishment felt beyond harsh.
The tow company? Advanced Towing. The experience? Awful.
When I arrived at their lot, I accidentally walked in the wrong door. It was open. A woman inside slammed it shut in my face and barked, "OTHER SIDE," like I was supposed to magically know. There was a "Do Not Enter" sign, but it was barely visible from the angle I entered.
Then came the bill: $185. $135 for the tow. $20 fuel surcharge — for towing a car literally three minutes away. And another $30 for an "after-hours" fee, even though I came straight from the restaurant and didn’t delay a second.
I know I parked in the wrong place. But this entire process was designed to maximize pain, cost, and humiliation. No empathy, no flexibility, no decency.
Advanced Towing may be operating within the letter of the law, but everything about their business feels predatory and heartless. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
This company towed my vehicle and caused major damage, and is now denying all responsibility.
They took my car without my permission, and when I got it back, it was completely undrivable. The damage included:
A hole in the rim
The engine won't start and smells like it’s burning
A gap between the bumper and the hood
Cameras no longer working

Someone should definitely look into the sketchy dealings that this business does. They just sit around and prey on people for minor mistakes and misunderstandings about unclear parking signs. I request that those whose cars are towed be treated with respect as people and customers. Continuing to behave like a barbarian is unacceptable. The two women who work there need to be punished for misbehaving with customers for no reason. Arlington County should investigate this whole business and their business practices.
Advance Towing was the only towing service in the DMV that responded to our call for assistance! They were professional and knew how to handle this complex towing issue. Thanks Boys really appreciate y’all!
This review is to report a very upsetting and unprofessional experience.
On 05/09/2025, my car was towed due to a misunderstanding related to parking near my residential building. That same day, I went to the Adwerstin Towing lot to present documents proving that I live at the address and had legally parked in my designated spot. I also needed to retrieve my payment card from the vehicle in order to make the required payment.
However, two of your employees behaved extremely rudely and disrespectfully. They didn’t even give me a chance to speak. Instead of listening, they started shouting at me, treating me as if I were a child in the street. They had no communication skills and clearly no idea how to interact with a customer in a professional manner. Their behavior was completely unacceptable and caused me serious emotional distress.
If I’m not mistaken, the manager’s name is Tina. I would like to bring this incident to her attention and strongly recommend that the company be more thoughtful in selecting and training staff for such sensitive and customer-facing roles. I left this company’s premises deeply disappointed and hope this complaint will be taken seriously and appropriate actions will be taken.
Even though I was trying to show valid documentation, the staff continued yelling at me in an unethical and aggressive manner. They clearly do not know how to treat customers. I sincerely hope Adwerstin Towing’s leadership will hire more respectful and qualified employees.
These people are criminals ! They towed my 82 year old mother’s vehicle and would not allow us to retrieve her insulin from inside the vehicle. I asked them for my car back as they hooked it up and towed it away. The vehicle was not sitting in parking spot illegally. There was not a no parking sign visible or in front of the spot. They towed it within 5 minutes of sitting there and did not allow the 10 minute window either. Supposedly it’s a misdemeanor the fact that they towed her insulin being a diabetic and would not allow us to retrieve it. They must be in cahoots with someone in Arlington County to be able to get away with stealing peoples cars and money! Disgusting they’re criminals and running a sham of a business.
It sucks to get towed but to be fair, it’s their job. And I’ve gotta say, they are the most pleasant people to work with as long as you’re kind and understanding. I mean they don’t tow your car for no reason(to my knowledge) so it’s going to be user error 99 times out of 100, no use getting upset at them.
They also jumped our car unsolicited with their personal equipment/car free of charge.
They set the golden standard for what a good tow company should strive for in my opinion.
Also THERE IS A FLAT RATE FEE for getting towed anywhere so yeah, you’re gonna get charged a flat fee regardless of how long they’ve had the car (in this case it looks like it’s $150? Which isn’t terrible, it’s $250 in Morgantown)
I have never seen that much horrible reviews about any business in my life. No wonder why.. We had an awful experience with Advanced Towing yesterday. After they towed our car yesterday, multiple warning lights appeared on our dashboard including serious transmission and alignment issues. When we ask about it yesterday, the lady said the lights would go away after driving a few miles, but instead, more lights showed up, and the situation got worse.
We took the car to our mechanic who confirmed the issues were caused by improper towing. Now we’re going to get detailed report from Nissan mechanics and already contacted with our insurance and lawyer. We also wanted the lady to send us pictures to see how they towed our car. If they don’t help, we are going to take legal action ASAP. I recommend you all to do the same. Don’t waste your time, all these reviews are not normal for any business… Collect all the evidence and take action quickly.

0 STARS. My BMW was towed from an unmarked spot, and I was charged $185. Upon retrieving my vehicle, I discovered that the towing personnel had accessed the car, placed it in neutral, and in doing so, caused damage to the gearbox. Additionally, the gear cover was not properly reinstalled, and the front lip of the car was damaged.
To make matters worse, the staff I interacted with were unprofessional and rude. I recommended call the cops. Also I strongly advise others to thoroughly inspect their vehicles after get towed by them both externally and internally, to ensure no damage has occurred.
Their treatment is terrible, they are some of the worst people. May God take them. I told them I am pregnant and left my car for two minutes in the Giant parking lot to get something. When I came out of the supermarket, my car was gone. I had to walk for half an hour in the sun to get to their place. I didn't have money to pay for an Uber, and they charged me $155. I hope you spend it on your cancer treatment soon.
Centro gave me a temporary parking pass and said to park in white outlined and unnumbered spots. I grabbed the closest spot to my elevator that matched the description and woke up to my car gone.
I didn’t see/notice/pay attention to the signage when I parked, was just looking for what I was told- “white outlined, unnumbered spot”. So when they told me it was employee parking I figured I had messed up. Then I get back and see this is the signage I was next to… absolutely ridiculous.
I miss my old place where tow trucks only came when invited (someone in your spot? They’ll be gone in an instant. Friend staying the night? Park in an unused spot worry free) These vultures should be ashamed.
Predatory, they damaged our car and now they dont want to even talk to us. We are putting a lawyer on this case, both of the ladies are terrible customer service. I dont know how a bussiness like this can still manage to run after all the reviews. If you can sue them, do it. We will do it.
I went inside the store just 15 mins,they towed my car which is I bought stuff at the store. I have to paid for the fee $155 to get my car out,they didn't want to move other cars out for me,I barely moved my car out was a really tight spot. I gave her a recipe of stuff I bought. Then she throw back to my friend face,I did not throw to her face,I gave it to her to see the details. I swear to the gods!! I do believe in karma and will talk to my lawyer, no worry anything. They're not a good people. On another hand there're many great people out there in this world!!
