He was incredibly kind, patient, and explained everything in a way that made me feel confident instead of stressed. Even with all the brake work I needed, he got me in and out so much faster than I expected. I really appreciate how genuine and helpful he was and it made the whole experience so much easier for me!
Had an excellent experience! Was able to drop off my car Sunday and get my car back in the late evening Monday. The team was knowledgeable and kept us up to speed as they found problems with my car. Price was very fair! Great service, great people will definitely go back!
I wanted to thank Frankie, and the folks at Amherst Auto & Tire, for great work during a difficult situation. I was about 4 hours from home when my truck experienced significant problems. I ended up up making it off the highway and needed towed to a shop. Ricky at Almond Towing did a great job also, and my truck and a trailer to Amherst. One of my cats was completely closed and the other not much better. The car couldn’t be fixed that evening, but it was fixed the next day. I was able to get back down a couple days later, and drove it the 4 hours home. The engine ran smoothly and got the best mpg that truck has gotten in years. While they were in there, Frankie loaded up the A/C, which over performed! After the weekend, Frankie called to make sure everything went ok with the long trip home. It’s tough to need serious repairs when you weren’t planning for them - it’s even harder not knowing any local shops and being so far from home. We were fortunate to find Frankie and Amherst Auto & Tire, who took great care of us and did it at a great price. Thank you!

Completely satisfied on every level with this shop from the communication, updates, quick repair time and honesty/respect. They took what was a nightmare for me and had my vehicle back to me in 2 days with a brand new transmission. I will recommend this shop anytime I get a chance.
Had a hard time finding a shop to put breaks on my car that we had the supplies for. Finally we found Amherst Auto and Tire. They installed my breaks and rotors and took it for a test drive afterwards. You don't find that service anymore. Excellent work. My husband will be bringing his truck there also.
They fixed my husband's truck not once but twice now his truck is getting a transmission and front end work they have been a good place to us and good people working there thanks a lot guys ...highly recommend!

We had spent alot of money getting the transmission rebuilt somewhere else and was still unable to drive it more then a few miles. We had taken the truck to multiple shops with no luck on getting it fixed. Finally took it to Amherst auto and tires and these guys fixed it. It drives better than the day it was bought and the bill came in under the original quote. I have been recommending them to everyone since. Great group of guys

My car was towed to Amherst after an accident I had while driving through Virginia on vacation. It had been a stressful day and I was in tears the majority of my time there. The staff were incredibly patient and kind to me, they were honest about the damage being serious and that repairs would take time, they helped my husband and I find a rental car nearby so that we could drive back home to NC, and they mailed me all of the possessions I had left in my car in case it was totaled by my insurance company. Unfortunately my insurance had my car moved to another location for diagnostic and repairs but I would have gotten the work done at Amherst in a heartbeat. In the most stressful of situations these kind people were such a blessing.
I normally don't do reviews but I had to make an exception for this two men. I had to call a tow truck for my sons car, after talking to several well know companies that wanted to charge an outrageous amount. I ran across Kevin's Towing. Not only was his personality awesome, his price was too. Kevin recommended Amherst Auto & Tire, once again the same professionalism. Frankie the owner was very fair and honest. I moved to the Amherst area about a year ago and have been struggling to find a mechanic to take care of my vehicle. I've been grossly over-charged, had questionable service, and even with an appointment had lengthy wait times for simple services like an oil change..... Then I found Amherst Auto & Tire. Frankie went above and beyond the expected customer service. Even though he was working me in, I was in and out in less than 15 min. Frankie was very pleasant and easy to talk with. I’m very happy with the service I got here. Frankie did a great job on my vehicle. He let me know what the problem was before he fixed it. That makes a difference. I’ll absolutely have him and Kevin do any work on my car and I’d recommend to anyone.
Went in for a oil change before leaving going to Myrtle Beach and luckily the owner Frankie showed me extensive wear to the front end of my pickup and had me fixed and ready to go so i could leave the next day. Highly recommended for fast and awesome service in a super friendly environment.
A dentist and an auto mechanic, people you want in your family because you never know who a trustworthy one is. I am happy I heard of Frankie through friends whose car he worked on. He is fast and accommodating, most importantly I found him to be honest. It's easy to stifle people out of their money when it comes to auto repairs and this guy was reasonable and charged fair!
