Camped for a weekend and signs everywhere saying Quiet Hour is strictly enforced. I can confirm that it is NOT. On both Friday and Saturday nights I had to finally walk over to the site next to me at 1:00am and ask them to STFU since Quiet Hours start at 10pm. Mentioning this to the staff in the morning produced little results for the next night where the same scenario took place. I left Sunday morning very tired and grumpy.
Gorgeous park with absolutely beautiful beach. Emerald clear water and mirror reflection of the trees. We come here yearly in October and it is quiet and peaceful.
Beautiful lake. The state park is a small area that provides public access to the lake so that is great, but just understand it’s not a big place. There is a beach, a very nice grassy area with tables and grills, a put-in for car top boats, a small fishing doc and a concession stand. I haven’t been to other state parks in Vermont yet but my sense from the map is that the ones by lakes are similar. Kudos to VT for making sure that the public has a way to use these lakes.
This place is Amazing. We love that there is plenty of shade. We rented a canoe this July 4th weekend and it was so much fun. My three year old loves the playground and playing in the beach area.
What a hidden gem of a place! For a reasonable price, you get a beautiful beach and marked off swim area, rental opportunities (kayaks, paddle boards and more) numerous areas for picnic and grilling, free carts for loading and unloading to share, concession stand with some reasonably priced treats, clean restroom facilities and extremely friendly, helpful staff. Had a wonderful couple days here this week and I can't wait to come back!
This park charges a nominal fee for beach access and parking. While the beach area is not the most amazing beach area you will ever see, it offers a pleasant and tranquil area to enjoy a water view
My friends and I have camped at Camp Plymouth for the past three years. Best place to camp in Vermont. The bathrooms are really well kept, there’s a clean water spicket, and a lovely trail walk to the lake. We adore this place every time we go.
Really lovely park. A little something for everyone. There are boat rentals, a playground, concessions with snacks and ice creams, a hiking trail, a beach, pavilions available to rent for events, places to picnic and BBQ. If you've got a group they have a group camping area or cottage rentals if you're lucky enough to snag one. Close to town and decent cell coverage.
We love Camp Plymouth. It’s a beautiful park with large grassy areas and a great picnic area by the lake. It’s a like bit of a walk from the parking lot to the lake. We’ve been coming here for 30 years and this year the complimentary carts have become a REAL ISSUE.
The sign on the cart and where you pick them says to RETURN THE CART SO OTHERS CAN USE THEM. But this year people aren’t doing it and the park isn’t doing anything to enforce it. In past years the park personnel would come down and ask people to return them. I come to the park 1-2 time a week and have never seen them try.
My husband & I are in our 70’s and it’s important for us to have a cart to bring our stuff to down by the lake. We always return our cart as soon as we unload it. If we can make the trip back and forth so can others.
Beautiful park with playground and paddle boat/kayak/canoe/paddle board rental at reasonable price. Sandy beach and concessions.

This is a family-friendly area. Ample parking, staff is great, bathroom area is clean Beach area is kept clean. Carts are available to lug your stuff to the beach
Camp Plymouth State Park is perfect for family fun with plenty of space, a lake for boating, food options, and grills for your own cookout. Clean facilities and overall great experience!
Super beautiful! There are plenty of activities to do here; volleyball, soccer (tons of open grass space), paddle boating, peddle boating, kayaking and more???? there is a concession stand, restrooms, $5 entry fee for each persons over age of 14. They accept both cash and card. They have a white board that shows water temperatures, weather temperatures and more?
I've been to Camp Plymouth State Park to gold pan in Buffalo Brook. Its is a great activity for families. I highly recommend it. If you are careful, you will find small specks of gold. There is free parking, and it is an easy hike to the brook.
Nice clean facility with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed hiking the grounds, paddling n swimming in Echo Lake and of course, relaxing with a picnic lunch by the water
I've been coming to this park since I was a child and even 25 years later it retains it's nostalgic. "summer vacation" vibes. There's nothing like renting a pedal boat and soaking up the sun in the middle of the lake!
A very clean and friendly place, snack bar was kinda pricey $3 bags of chips but they were a good sharable size popcicles starting at a$1 and water and soft drinks as well definitely a great place to take the family!!
This park is great. The park has several features including small lake with a beach for swimming, a BBQ grill, handicap parking, a sand volley ball court, and bathrooms.
Cost of admission during 2020 was $4/person.
Nice and quiet. Barriers against pets but some crissed the barrier. Hiking trails grand. Went cross country and up up up to get to tge you of Vista Trsil to find the geocache and have grest views of Echo Lake. Intriguing cemetery, Dwsrf Dogwood and a TURTLE.
Beutifull lake. Very relaxing. You can bath in the wonderfull clean lake, walk along some hiking trails or rent a peddale boat/canou or just relax on the beach. There are some picnic table and endless lawn space.
Excellent beach/lake access, boats and paddle boards for rent for reasonable rates, lots of picnic tables, grassy area, BBQ grills, playground, cabins to camp in, and a nice short hiking trail to a beautiful vista of Echo Lake with Okemo in the background. Gem of a state park!
This is the best park. I got there often, whether backpacking on the Monadnock-Sunapee greenway, camping or just stopping in to kayak on the ponds, this park is a gem. I recommend camping here because it is quiet nice sites and you have plenty of good hiking trails to choose from plus, you can canoe or kayak Butterfield and May Ponds. We usually do hike 1 day and kayak the next. I have parked here to backpack on the M-S Greenway. It is safe and secure to leave your vehicle here.
It's beautiful here and the.breeze was nice. Nice spots for group gathering and the lake is just a short distance away. Everyone enjoyed the time spent there.
