Great place. Clean, new rooms. Friendly staff. 30-40 minutes drive to Okemo mountain. There is a pool, but would be nice if there were sauna and hot tub as well.

★★★★★ An absolutely amazing experience at Holiday Inn Club Vacations – Mount Ascutney Resort! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning scenery. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff was welcoming and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. Plenty of activities and a perfect place to relax and recharge. Highly recommend — we can’t wait to return!

I’ve never wanted to live in a hotel this much. ? It felt like home away from home, with the high ceiling, skylight, and spacious rooms. The room could fit up to 6 people, with enough room to spare for gear and other stuff. I didn’t feel stuffed at all. It also had a full kitchen, and spacious dining area. And did I mention s’mores at night are possible? ?

I stayed at the hotel for three nights. Checkout was for 10 am on Sunday morning.it was rainy and we needed a little extra time to get our bags out. At no time did they say to my husband and I that it would cost us 81 dollars extra to check out a half hour late. So if you stay there make sure you don’t check in too late or ask to check out a little late. The man who checked us out was an unpleasant person who told us he would have added extra money. Imagine my surprise when I checked out my bill online and discovered the extra charge. So read the fine print. It really put a damper on the stay. Never had that experience before. You would think that because they are in the hospitality business they would be be hospitable.

Lazy mosquito weekend||The pictures misled us into thinking this was a full-service resort with lots of summer activities. In reality, there are none!||Positives|* Large rooms|* Not really close by to anything||Negatives|* Breakfast generally excluded from room rate|* Restaurant almost never opened for lunch / dinner|* Poorly kept walking trails without any signposts|* Pool is Under construction |* Locked game room (can’t get in)|* On-site services are pretty much dead

Our suite is beautiful and clean. Bed is comfy. Restaurant food is delicious. It's about 30 minutes from Woodstock, T and 20 minites from Windsor, VT. Many covered bridges in the area.

Two restaurants associated with the Inn were both scheduled closed mid week allowing for no dining possibilities. I understand the need to reduce hours during off season. It simply scuttles a perfect rating when you have no advance notification of the closure. The grounds and room were wonderful. The staff was friendly.

I usually stay at IHG hotels because that's where my points accumulate, but it was a mistake this time. The wifi is worse than useless and cell coverage from my major provider is nonexistent. On top of that, there was a brown stain on a towel (umm, yuck...), a chunk of a cookie on the floor, and no elevator. If you're prepared to pay 250+ per night to haul your luggage up 3 flights of stairs to a room with no internet and free half-eaten cookies on the carpet, this is your place, but otherwise I'd recommend branching out. I did two cathartic things once I reconnected to the world this morning: wrote this review and sold off my IHG stock. It was up, but they're obviously phoning it in when it comes to quality so I took my earnings before too many people realized...

Great resort that was very clean but somewhat outdated. Appears they are starting to remodel a few buildings. Could use more amenities like hot tubs, a bar and activities. Very close to lots of state parks, skiing, farmers markets, historical places, covered bridges, wineries, breweries and so much more!

Nice place to stay near Windsor, Woodstock, and Quechee! This was a great place to stay with plenty of room. It had a balcony, sitting room, kitchen, bedroom, and private bathroom. The only downside was there is no breakfast available just coffee. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It is a quiet location and reasonably priced for the area. Although a bit dated still very clean. I would suggest driving over to Windsor to the Windsor Station Restaurant where we enjoyed a great dinner in an old train depot. We also enjoy hunting down covered bridges in the area and shopping in Woodstock.

One night stay here and after the reception person gave us the wrong instructions we did manage to check in. Our room was huge! A lovely comfortable bed with bathroom which was quite small for the size of the room. Sofa bed and a large living area and kitchen with lots of amenities. Sadly the restaurant was not open when we stayed but we were recommended a fantastic place for breakfast and if we had known about this prior to our arrival we could have purchased a lot of produce to make out supper.

I can tell it was once really lovely, but looks like business might not be going well. One tennis court was closed with a forest of overgrown weeds (the other one was closed as well), and the outdoor pool was covered with murky water and plants growing on top. There was a nice playground that we got to enjoy! Our rooms were very nice as well. Just sad that these outdoor things were not kept up. Maybe they could be converted to parking or green grassy areas to help it not look so abandoned.

Only amazing things to report about this wonderful location and amazing staff. We've been there an hour and a half for the last three to four years late January as a large group and the staff are so accommodating and friendly and understanding. Highly recommend great for families and those needing larger multi-room accommodations!

The rooms were spacious, the beds and pillows were so comfortable didn't need to bunch up the pillow. I was on the back side of Hanover with a beautiful scenery of mountains

We stayed for a week had a great vacation. We had a three bedroom lock off. My wife is handicapped and they accommodated us with a handicap bathroom. We had a great kitchen and saw many local attractions, including the quiche gorge Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, beautiful mountains and scenery. Our hotel has a great restaurant called the maple kitchen with a great bar and some local food. There is quite a recreational area with an indoor pool. Unfortunately the outdoor pool is being worked on my grandkids went on a river rafting trip down the Connecticut river, and we got to visit the harpoon brewery and restaurant would definitely come back up here again

Nice family getaway if you want to unplug. On site theater for elevated family nights, pool room and reading nook. Also a nice fire pit with stacked logs. Pool could use some work. No jacuzzi.

The rooms are very nice, a lot of space, the living room is cosy and they give you soap for cloathes and dishes. The laundry room is free. The billard and games, reading room, arcade room are lovely and the mini market is very convenient. There is a market/store 3 minutes by car that has very good breakfast. My only sugestion would be that they need to modernize the pool. The pool floor and wall has an ancient white material so it makes the water look yellow hence dirty, however it was clean.

Decent, older but in fair-to-good condition resort. The outdoor swimming was closed due to renovations when we visited late June/early July. Our building had 3 floors and no elevator. If you have someone in your party with mobility issues, I recommend asking about accommodations when booking. (I don't know that there aren't any; just were none in our building.) Our unit was dated, but clean. Kitchen was minimally supplied with cooking supplies (mixing bowls, measuring cup, a few bakeware items), but had ample silverware, plates, and bowls. Fridge did not have an ice maker, but trays were provided. We had trouble getting into one of the key access doors at the indoor pool building and when we went to the desk to ask found out the entrance is on the rear of the building; use the road entrance next to the tennis courts to get to a small parking lot and enter the indoor pool. Front desk staff acted like we should have known to use a different entrance, but there were no signs indicating this, nor were we told this info at check-in. Indoor pool house was dated, but seemed clean enough. Mild chlorine smell and extremely humid inside - I'm sure both could be hard to manage; just sharing observations. This pool was then also closed during the latter part of our stay so we had no pool to use, which was very disappointing, but things happen. We never received hang tags for our vehicles and when we asked were told "we're not going hang tags right now". Basically, the information we were sent via email before arriving didn't match what was actually being done. Main building had family activities, but most were an additional cost. Disappointing after staying at another Holiday Inn Resort last year where mini-golf, tennis rackets, shuffle board, etc. were all free and gear was easily accessible Pool towels are provided with a note that if all are not accounted for after checkout a $25 fee will be charged per towel. These pool towels were thin and scratchy. Thankfully we had brought our own along. We did not eat at the restaurant on property. Location is the best part of this property. It's nestled in the lower mountainside. It's a short 10 minute drive to Windsor and about 5 minutes from Brownsville.

We stayed in our family member's time share and had a two bedroom, two bath "apartment." it is SO quiet here but there aren't many food places nearby and the restaurant wasn't open on Tuesdays. The pool is down the road which is definitely a downer. Otherwise, was great!

We had a 3 bedroom which consisted of a 1 bedroom loft and 2 lock out 1 bedrooms (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) , so there was plenty of room for everyone. Billiards, chess boards and pool were some of the favorites. It has the cozy country feel allowing us to relax and unwind.

We couldn't have chosen a better location for our Thanksgiving holiday than the Holiday Inn Club Vacations Mount Ascutney Resort. Giving five stars across the board for rooms, service, and location was an easy decision. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning landscape, which was made even more enchanting by a recent snowfall. The snow created a cozy, festive environment that encouraged our group of family and friends to gather together, making the trip feel exceptionally social and intimate. The resort provided the perfect backdrop for our small Thanksgiving celebration. The rooms were immaculate, modern, and comfortable, offering a warm refuge after enjoying the crisp mountain air. What truly stood out, however, was the five-star service. The staff was incredibly welcoming and consistently went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met with a smile. Nestled in a beautiful and tranquil location, the resort feels like a true escape from the everyday hustle. It offers a premium experience without losing that warm, inviting feeling. This wasn't just a hotel stay; it was a core part of a cherished holiday experience that we will remember for years to come.

From the staff to the rooms, with views of wildlife this is the perfect place to stay in and relax or go out and explore. Whether you are their for the night or a week the rooms are cozy and you easily relax like its a home away from home. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of local places and activities to make your stay the best stay.

We stayed in a two bedroom loft, king master and queen spare with two bathrooms, a living room, kitchenand dining room. The resort is secluded from the busyness of daily life, it is very pretty to see. Inside the rooms are a bit different than the outside. Not as cozy as it looks in the brochure. Rooms could use some major updates with decorations and a little more comfort. Our master bedroom had zero decorations on the walls; but the headboard had a huge canvas painting situated on it just awkwardly enough that we'd hit our heads on the bottom corners of it every day. Living room couches are very uncomfortable and the "fireplace" isn't user friendly. For a timeshare vacation home, it isn't as cozy as it could be. The heater didn't come with instructions; didn't realize there should be instructions until we couldn't figure out how to get it to click on and regulate heat. The lighting in the king suite was not straightforward. All the lighting was led white light except the downstairs bathroom. It was orange, and the bathroom had zero ventilation. The kitchen was good. Fully functional. Convenient. Dining room was also nice. Two years in a row the Ascutney Outdoors activities weren't available because they are operated by volunteers. I mention it because it was a selling point for the resort but it isn't really available to utilize during the week. A big let down. The Maple Kitchen, closes on Tuesday and Wednesday. Expensive and sometimes menu items aren't available. This year, the price didn't match the quality. Last year, so much better. Waitstaff were really great, though. Last year the resort staff were unmatched. This year the only thing the guy could tell us was, let me call maintenance. Frustrating and inconvenient. Unhelpful and unpersonable.

The hotel is nestled in the notch of Mt. Ascutney. Its a beautiful location and has amazing on-site amenities. The restaurant is great! so many options, even for kids, has a movie theatre, game room, gym and a pool! So many fun things to do in the area too. Has a mini convenient store to get some things if you forgot anything at home. Will definitely stay again when we come back next year.

The total experience was great. Roomy all the things needed to save$ on dinning out I did order a burger asking for md/well done and it was almost raw inside. I'm not one to send back because you never know what you'll get back. I survived. The property is beautiful and lots of things to do trails everywhere. I would recommend staying here.

Comfortable and spacious hotel room. The beds were very comfortable and it was a comfortable room for our family. There were many fun amenities on the property - game room, movie room with a popcorn machine, exercise room, a pool table, and a a swimming pool. It was New Year's Eve and the pool was closed because they were adjusting chemicals. The restaurant was also closed and there are not many restaurants nearby. They did give us a brochure upon arrival of all of the restaurants and activities nearby which was nice. We would stay here again.

Came here for a family Christmas Vacation. Rooms are great. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite, with a balcony and cute fireplace, full kitchen. Really great space. Would definitely turn. Unless you are on the top floor, you will hear the people above you, especially if they are heavy footed or have kids. Only issue is the onsite restaurant. It's not open on Tuesday and Wednesday for...reasons. there really isn't a lot close by being a mountain resort which means a hefty drive to get food. Also, the food we were able to order was just ok. They are short staffed. Overall, I think this is a good choice for families. Game rooms, theater and fitness center onsite are fine.

My family and friends went to this resort for Thanksgiving and we had an amazing experience at this mountain resort. I can’t say enough good things about it! From the stunning views to the peaceful atmosphere, everything exceeded my expectations. A special shout-out to Michael, the resort rep from Honduras—he was absolutely fantastic! Michael was incredibly attentive, making sure all our needs were met, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a seamless stay. His knowledge of the area and recommendations for activities were spot on, and he made us feel like we were in great hands the entire time. If you’re looking for a truly unforgettable getaway, this resort is the place to be, and Michael is the perfect host to guide you through it!

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Mount Ascutney Resort, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The resort is nestled in a beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, making it a perfect getaway for those looking to escape city life. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I particularly enjoyed having a fully-equipped kitchen, which made it easy to prepare meals. The resort grounds are well-kept, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout my stay. Overall, I would recommend the Holiday Inn Mount Ascutney Resort for anyone seeking a serene and comfortable stay in Vermont. It’s an ideal spot for nature lovers and families looking for a peaceful retreat.
