Every time I am in town, I always make a trip here. All of their prepared foods are killer. My favorites are the dill potato salad, mac n cheese, and their marinated steaks. Highly recommend.

Great store, they have all the possibles you'll need, i pass by the store on the way to townesend i got a turkey sub and ill tell ya it was delicious fresh fresh tasty. That other country store on rt 100 there subs are ratty. This is the place to go , so go.
Miss how it used to be. They should be open earlier and stay open later and everyday. The prices are really high. Used to feel more like a place for locals to shop now more accommodating to tourists.
Came up to Vermont for a late October meeting with the famiky. Had basics for meals in car but needed a few last minute cooking items and no grocery stores were nearby. Found Wardsboro Country store and actually called famiky on way up to see if they were still passing groceries. I was floored when I went in by the selection (both brreadth and quality) and it was so good even added another meal to our plans as the place has a full deli/butcher. Even the beer selection was fine and prices were fair. Final bonus, staff both up front and in the back wrre pleasant and full of great local advice. A real life saver and made the whole stay great.
I don’t think it’s reasonable to run a store that caters to travelers in a tourist area (fuel and snack sales, etc) but also disallow customer use of restrooms.
We always buy our groceries there. They carry a great inventory of fresh produce and meats. They also have a lot of gluten-free items which are important to us.
My family lives locally to this store and I can say they make the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had...nothing like a hot bacon egg and cheese on the way to the ski resort!

They even had duck eggs! This place was beyond great. My daughter lost her toy cat somewhere in the store and everyone helped look for it. Although we never found it, they were very kind and helpful people. What a wonderful, special place!
Great deli (really good sandwiches, amazing meats), good selection of beer... They are also trying their hand at hot lunches and "take and bake" items like homemade mac and cheese, and burritos. I highly recommend the fish cakes, when they are available! Love this store!
Pretty much has anything you could need in the middle of nowhere. Excellent take and make food, good coffee and breakfast sammies to go and all sorts of random supplies for the house.
A good selection groceries for a secluded area including Deli Foods that are ready to eat. It's a cozy Country Store. If they had a more environmentally friendly characteristics I would have given them five stars.

Inside they've got an excellent hodgepodge of just about everything you think you'd want, and outside, you can fill up at their gas station (Gulf I think). Whether you live nearby or you're just passing through on Route 100, Wardsboro Country Store has something for just about everyone.
Unpretentious, carries all the basics from hardware through staple groceries, beer and wine, the New York, Boston, and local newspapers. Excellent well-stocked deli. Try the liverwurst on rye. Fresh homemade sausage is usually available. Self-service filling station, game reporting office. Located across from the Post Office on picturesque Vt. 100.
