Duxbury Auto Tech were a great help to us. We were visiting Vermont on vacation and when driving home to Boston my car started to sputter as I got on Route 89. I called AAA and they towed us to Duxbury Auto Tech. They diagnosed the issue within a few minutes, told us what needed to be done, and told us it would be ready in two hours. We had lunch and returned to the shop. The car was fixed and ready to go. I guesstimated the cost and the bill was very close. Thomas was great during this whole process. He and his techs prevented us from being stranded in Vermont. I highly recommend Duxbury Auto Tech.
Brought my truck in for an inspection and when I picked it up, my rockers had multiple new holes, and I was told they had to “test” how solid the metal was. I guess the theory is if they were rusted and had to be replaced then it didn’t matter how badly they damaged them, except they “tested” it in 5-6 different spots, whereas 1 location I can understand. If one side would have failed, I guess I’m not sure why they had to further damage both sides of the vehicle.
I’m writing this review because I have never had such bad customer service from an establishment. I called and made an appointment for the inspection of my Subaru BRZ in storage. I explained on the phone that my renewed Vermont registration had not come in the mail (most likely due to the pandemic). I have an appointment to pick up a hard copy from the dmv next week since it never showed. I asked if that would be a problem or should I just make an appointment after I receive the hard copy. They told me it was all good, my expired temporary registration paper still has the expiration date of my overall registration. I show up the morning of my appointment at the time they set, and wait an hour and a half for the front desk attendant to tell me “my boss said he won’t inspect it since you don’t have the hard copy”. The boss ( I believe mark was the name) didn’t even come out to talk to me, to ask questions, to smooth anything over. Just sent me on my way. This review is not for other customers, but solely for the establishment. My car can be inspected or fixed anywhere. Auto care is half fixing a car, and the other half customer service. I didn’t mess up. Your establishment did, and didn’t have the decency to at least try and fix your customer relations. I’m not looking for anything or am I ever going to do business with this establishments again. I just want you to fix your customer care so the next person doesn’t waste their time.
Have had Duxbury Auto for at least 10+years. Very reliable, responsive, & fair prices. Owner Mark, is well respected & he & his wife support their 2 daughters car racing dreams.
Appears to have done the work requested, did extra work that was not requested and charged for it. Bill included "shop supplies" and "charges", both unspecified. Paid twice as much as I am accustomed to. Not going back.
Simply put these guys run the most capable, honest and reliable shop around. The mechanics seem to have worked there for some time which adds to the consistency of service. It’s my go to shop if I need something serious done.
I brought my car in for an issue and it ended up being minor. They identified it quickly, fixed it quickly, and didn't even end up charging me as it took so little time. Everyone was nice and efficient. I would recommend them 100% to anyone else.
Replaced my clutch for a good price, but sent my car back out without checking the oil level -- car broke down 200 miles later with engine scrapped and no oil in it. My car was originally towed here by AAA, and I trusted Mark and his team to assess the car and fix it as I was not in the area at the time.
I trust Duxbury Auto-Tech with all of my car repairs. They consistently do a great job, their fees are far more reasonable than anywhere else I have gone, and they are always courteous, prompt and flexible. I would recommend to anyone to take their business to Duxbury Auto-Tech without reserve.
A great place to get your car worked on. They always do a good job, and are reasonably priced. We've been getting our vehicles worked on there for years. As one other reviewer stated, call early to get an appointment, as they book up fast due to their satisfied customers.
I have been to Duxbury Auto several times for oil changes, new battery, tire change over and car dysfunction. They do a great job listening to my concerns,. They explain the issues and solve my car problems. They are knowledgeable and courteous and work hard to get me back on the road, safely.
