I am a local vermont boy born and raised here in vermont I've been to every salvage yard from Maine to new Hampshire to new York and I gotta say Allens salvage yard in Chelsea vershire there was the best service I've ever had Allen is very kind and his hired man had my parts out and ready for me when I got there which was the same day I had called Allen in need of parts that local parts stores had but where ridiculously priced allens very fair nice to talk to straight forward wont bullshit you and I've read the reviews on here and I'm down right very disappointed with some of folks reviews towards Allen and his way of life because I have been around and I can read people and see that Allen is the kind of man that isn't trying to get rich but really only opening the doors to his home to friends and folks that need help thanks Allen for all you do for us and we will always come to you first my friend
What an awesome experience! This place has all the right kind of stuff and the right kind of people! We own a Saab and nobody up and down the state of VT has any parts fitting our car. The second I called in this morning, he invited me right down and said that he had a bunch! What an amazing guy, with wonderful service! I will definitely be thinking of Allen's Salvage when I need anything else!
Went for a miscellaneous engine component. What you would expect for a small-town salvage yard. Searched for a correct year car with an employee and then salvaged what I needed for a couple of dollars. Good potential to find what you need.
Place is a dump. Cars scattered haphazardly, stacked in insanely dangerous ways, and totally unorganized. Guy is a hoarder as well. Not a junkyard, its quite literally a dump.
Literally has every kind of car and truck here. Great way to get your own parts for a fraction of the cost. Also feels great to repurpose & recycle these automobiles.
8/21/23 BEWARE BEWARE Although we have done business with this man in the past, our most recent transaction with him has been ignored. After sending him $1500.00, he will not answer our calls. A mutual friend reached out so I was able to speak with him last week, but now he will not pick up my calls or answer calls from the mutual friend any longer. BEWARE BEWARE
Allen and his son Jeremiah are very helpful they helped with titling a vehicle that that would have been very difficult do do for me otherwise I highly recommend them.
A unique salvage yard. I enjoyed going through it and picking my part. Was a fun experience.

I panicked for no reason when i hadn't heard anything back for a week. I genuinely thought i was scammed, but should have been more patient. The owner was kind regardless of understandable frustration about review. Thank you for your patience and service, Title was delivered and received today. I cant figure how to remove other review, but will try.
Scam and con man. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY online to ALLENTITLE! Or ALLEN AUTO SALVAGE These people are cons! Take your money! Refuse your calls then block you. The woman who answers his calls (broken English) will pretend she CANNOT understand you, while giving you a run around! Will claim to know nothing and will say you must speak to Allen, but Allen will never answer a call once he gets your money! And won’t return a call! Beware. This is being reported to better business bureau as well! And Federal Bureau for fraud investigation!
Went in to find parts late in the day. They didn't have the exact model of Subaru, so I had to pick through other Subaru models to find a match. They stayed open well after normal closing time for me. The price was half of what I had seen online at other salvage yards. Highly recommend!
Great place to do business give them a call they have alot of inventory of used parts also they sell decent used cars and trucks great to deal with them !
Allen is a great guy and works really hard to make sure you get what you need! Really happy I called him looking for a transmission for my 2013 outback!
Allen processed 3 titles for me that in my opinion were very difficult to get done.
Mr. Allen communicated with me regularly to give me updates on progress.
Mr. Allen Delivered on his promise, even during a global pandemic he accomplished what he promised me

Title services are completely legal. The service is offered all over especially when importing vehicles. Very common to outsource the title process. As far as Allen goes, you couldn't ask for a better more kind hearted person who will go out of his way to help. If a part was broken, I'm sure be wouldn't make someone pay. Funny though. I know how he works, and a rip off he isn't. If he wasn't so far away I'd go there for parts for a 71 caddy I'm building. Know there's 2 little parts I need to finish, and they are most probably there. And at a fair price
I'm at Allen & Allen Savage for the first time this past Sunday July15th i've been in the state of Vermont for 35 years luckily I have never needed his services the wife and I were traveling there's a beautiful state of Vermont Country Roads and had a flat and I had forgot to replace the spare the last time we had a flat spoke of my dilemma with Alan and he let me help myself to a tire in his yard and borrow his air compressor to air it back up and got us back on the road again with no fuss no muss there's just straightforward and very helpful and their situation in time of need I would highly recommend him if anybody needs great service and quality used parts
