What clients say about Little Town Auto LLc. in Huntington (VT)

I can’t recommend Little Town Auto highly enough! They are truly one of the most honest and trustworthy shops I’ve ever worked with. Kolina and Bryan are both incredibly friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with, and it’s clear they genuinely care about their customers. They’ve worked on my brakes, inspection, sensors, and more, and every time they’ve gone above and beyond. They’re always thorough and transparent, making sure my car is safe and up to standard without ever trying to upsell or fix things that don’t need fixing. In an industry where that kind of integrity can be hard to find, Little Town Auto stands out. If you want great work, fair pricing, and a team you can trust, this is absolutely the place to go!

Little Town Auto is the kind of place that makes you actually enjoy going to the mechanic. The team is friendly, fast, and knows their stuff. They take the time to get to know you and your car. The community vibe that used to exist in old time auto shop.

Bryan's workmanship is sloppy, and his professional ethics are extremely poor. After my experience of having him perform a repair on my daughter's car, I wouldn't trust him to work on a child's toy pedal car. I brought my daughter's 2019 Subaru Crosstrek to Little Town Auto for a suspected bad wheel bearing. Bryan confirmed that the front left wheel bearing was bad, and needed to be replaced. We picked up the car after hours, and immediately upon starting the car and driving down the road the AWD (All Wheel Drive) warning light on the dash began flashing. This is an indication of a bad wheel speed sensor, most likely in the wheel in which Bryan had just replaced the wheel bearing. I texted Brian the next day about the problem. Bryan confirmed that it was most likely the speed sensor in the wheel that he worked on, and said that he usually try to salvage the existing sensor, rather than replace it when performing a wheel bearing replacement. It is common practice to replace the speed sensor when replacing a wheel bearing, as particles shed by a failing wheel bearing can contaminate the surface of the speed sensor, and it's also easy to damage an old, corroded speed sensor when dissasembling the wheel hub and working on removing the old wheel bearing. For example, I have had 3 wheel bearings replaced in my 2014 Toyota Tundra, and new speed sensors were installed with each new wheel bearing. This is common practice. Bryan stated that he could replace the speed sensor for "a few hundred dollars" in parts and materials, and that he could do the work in approximately 2 1/2 weeks. I offered to procure a new speed sensor part, but told Bryan that I would appreciate a break on the labor. If he had replaced the speed sensor at the time of the wheel bearing repair the cost would have just been for the new speed sensor and 15 to 30 minutes of additional labor. Bryan Balked at my suggestion. Now, because of HIS SLOPPY WORKMANSHIP, I will have to pay someone a couple of hundred dollars to have the wheel hub completely disassembled, just a Bryan has just done to replace the wheel bearing, to have the wheel sensor replaced. In the meantime, my daughter is driving a car that now likely has defective and inoperable traction control, stability control, and anti lock braking systems. Little Town Auto SUCKS!
