They always have what I need and if they don't have it they order it for the next , the staff are very helpful and will look up parts for you. I do all my maintenance work for my truck through advanced auto
slowest people I've ever met and horrible store just like the rest of them no wonder how come they shut down over half the stores they had in the state wouldn't have ever gone there other than to return parts I got from a close out store and was a pain to get it done definitely will never go back

Honest, extremely helpful, and quick! 5 stars for Thurston who helped me swap out a new battery there on site (for half the price as quoted by the dealer!). So I call on Sunday at 09:15 and Dakota asked the phone very professionally and told me he was by himself so he put me on a small hold to finish with the customer before me. I called about a pressure tube for my Chevy pickup. Not only did the phone disconnect Dakota went out of his way to find and call me back to let me know that he has it in his hands. I’m very pleased with how this gentleman works. This is why I do business within advance auto parts

Wrong part not once,but twice,the third time I had to pay even more, no box and had to walk 6 miles,with a starter in my hand..side note,it was 25 degrees f, so not all bad,would have much rather driven...who walks 6 miles with a starter?!?
Showed up at 12:30 for a part that was ready for pick up saw this with a locked door and could see at least three guys standing doing nothing in the back.
Needed non standard size wheel studs. Had a broken stud as a sample with me however, I didn't have the part number. The salesman stated that he is not able to go through boxes and match studs for me because it would take too much time. The store was empathy, there were no other customers in the store so he had plenty of time to demonstrate reasonable customer service. Soon, these kind of employees will be replaced by robots or computers and the stores that have such employees will be out of business.
The store in Essex Junction is the best. They go way above and beyond . Very helpful and courteous. We went to several different auto parts stores today. This place is by far the best.
Ordered part online for instore pickup. The part was not correct. Returned part to Essex and was referred to S. Burlington location as correct part was not in stock. S. Burlington would not honor online discount … counter staff was fine in Essex. honest mistake but frustrating.
I was greeted at the door by a young man who was eager to help me MacGyver a solution to my annoying problem. It was a successful visit, and I left happy!
I called ahead of time to see if they had items I had trouble looking for on their website. I ended making a web purchase to pick up locally and with 10 minutes or less from when I placed the order, it was waiting there for me. I had both friendly and helpful service when there. I looked up a couple other items, [brake parts] but decide to not purchase all the extra items even though they had great prices and it was in stock for my vehicle.
I was going to buy just a couple packages each of the needed Amp sizes I was looking for, ((5) fuses) and the store associate recommended that I considered the bulk pack which saved me money.
This store location is off Park Street close to 5 Corners for those locals who know this landmark reference.
They accept cash, credit cards, and I used my Smartphone Tap & Pay (Samsung Pay) with ease.
If I had to purchase more automotive related items, I would make a trip again even though there are other AAP stores closer to me.
This is the same location of the old Maynard Auto near the train tracks.
If the train is blocking the road & traffic, this location has a back entry to their parking lot that exits to Pearl St. after a couple other streets.
Overall, the associates that were working the day I visited (8/29/2018) were very knowledgeable about their products and helping you even if don't know much about what you need [this can be helpful when you send someone else to get parts or items for you with limited information they have].
That day, I actually ended up there due to proximity of other errands, and I was in and out of there promptly in time for my next appointment; but I could have taken even longer if I wanted based on the comfortable experience I had. I would recommend going online first, and sign up for a store shopping rewards discount prior to your visit and save even more $.
I had a small glitch when ordering a red top battery online, the glitch was not even the fault of the store and they went waaay out of their way to make it right. My new favorite auto parts store! Sorry Auto zone!
The guys who work here are the best! I bought a new battery because I needed a new one (the car wouldn't turn over after you shut the car off after a jump). I asked them if they could put it in and they obliged even though the temp outside was bitter cold. I would highly recommend this shop.
This is the only place I buy my auto parts whenever possible in the Chittenden County area. The staff is much more knowledgeable and helpful then AutoZone. I recently had to return some parts then I ended up not needing on a job I was doing the staff was gracious and very helpful and friendly.
I'm from out out of town. I bought a battery and asked about installation. I was told they don't install batteries for my make/model because of the danger of damaging the radio. I went home and replaced it myself.
When I took the old battery back to my local Advanced auto parts, I told the guy about the installation refusal due to the radio issue. He looked at me like I was crazy. He said all the stores have a device they hook up before installing the battery to specifically avoid damaging the vehicle when they change the battery. In my opinion, the guy at the Essex store was just lazy and didn't want to help someone from out out of state.
