My vehicle had broken down and needed to be towed. Gave Ben a call and he was able to set up a time for the tow and a fair estimate on the car! It was a super easy process and Ben was very nice! I would definitely work with them again!
Had a dead car sit in a garage spot for over a year since other tow companies couldn’t figure out how to remove it with how close it was to main building-Rathes came by and had it gone within 30 mins, super easy and with a smile

Rathe'a metal recycling center is awesome. It is conveniently located close to Burlington and it's hours are very business friendly. . I love that I am able to recycle my old metal waste that my father has collected for 60 years. Added bonus, I get to converse with Regina on the intercom who operates the the weigh scales and checks you in and out. Great service w great people. It doesn't get any better than that. They paid me $615 more than the dealership offered me for trade in! I talked to Ben, got the offer and he picked the car up less than 2 hours later. You cannot get more efficient than that!

Very disappointed with the changes at this place. Rathes was like an institution growing up. Picking and pulling your own parts. It’s how a lot of us mechanics acquired the knowledge of auto repair. So many fond memories of this place but now like everything good in Vermont, it is gone. So long and good bye
I generally do not do reviews. Had a good experience here today. Don't know the name of the young man there but received an assessment very quickly on what they could do for me with no rudeness or unnecessary B.S. If it becomes necessary I would do business with them, no problem. Much better experience than Fairfax Salvage. sometimes it just the little things, like COURTESY.
I utilized the form on the website and was pleasantly surprised with the same day quick response to my request. Ben called before heading out to let me know he was coming and was very professional and courteous. He picked up the car in the time frame promised on the call. I highly recommend their service! Had a really good experience with Rathe Salvage. Originally I was going to drive my very rusty 16 year old civic over to them since I’m not far away, but Ben was able to pick it up and give me the same quote as if I’d dropped it off. It was easy to schedule the pickup and Ben was perfectly on time. Great experience overall.
Ben & Regina (in the office) were great and easy to deal with, simple transaction and no hassle, I would return to do business again. They gave a fair $ offer for my damaged vehicle which was more than other avenues had offered, Ben was prompt and professional with an emailed offer the same day.
Quick and painless service. Recovered my rusted car with completely locked brakes from deep inside a parking garage, and even managed to do it without scraping up the garage. Fair price for an included tow, would use again!
Professional and friendly. Contacted them on Facebook with a question and they responded almost immediately. When I went there in person everyone was friendly and took care of what I needed. I bought a used ATV 4x4. They even help me put it on my trailer.
