Charlie and his staff are wonderful.
My first experience with Handy’s was with a flat tire and Charlie was able to replace it that day, after AAA had towed my vehicle to the shop. Since then I’ve been going to Charlie for any vehicle need and he is accommodating and fair. We are lucky to have a shop like Handy’s in Burlington.
We neede the car towed from the local garage to the dealer tom showed up exactly when he said. Towed the car and sent pictures when he dropped it off he was cery profesional and kind
When my truck broke down 20 miles outside of town, Handys answered the call. They were professional, communicated often, and took a job that they didn’t needto! Appreciate their help during a stressful situation.

I've had to use Handy's tow several time. Usually for dead battery and once for a flat tire. Today I couldn't start my 2013 Nissan Altima after work. I was fearing the worst. My roadside assistance sent Handy's over. They quoted me 30 minutes, but Tom was over in about 15. He asked me what was wrong and thought it might be my battery and he was right. Also my exhaust! I am very relieved. Tom was so nice, he explained everything and once again, Handy's to the rescue! Thanks Tom!
Tom was the driver who towed my car. I was on a remote road and Tom offered to stay with me until my husband arrived. He was concerned for my safety. Thank you Tom!
Amazing from start to finish. The tow truck and the staff was professional and friendly throughout the process. The alternator repair service was efficient. The new alternator was ordered and fixed within 24h as promised, allowing us to get back on our way with peace of mind. We truly appreciate their promptness and expertise, and highly recommend their services to anyone in need of reliable towing and repairs. The owner went above and beyond by kindly offering us a lift to a rental car if we needed one, while keeping the car for the repair. This level of customer care made a stressful situation much easier, and we are truly grateful for such thoughtful support.
Unfortunately, I did not have a choice in selecting the towing company after being involved in a serious accident on the interstate. My vehicle was towed by this company to their holding yard while I was transported from the scene by ambulance.
When I was later able to access my vehicle, I discovered that my hunting crossbow — which was securely inside the car — was missing. The vehicle had not been locked by the towing company and, to make matters worse, I was informed that there is no surveillance on their property. This raises major concerns about how vehicles and their contents are being protected while in their custody.
I have made multiple attempts to contact the company for answers and resolution, but I’ve yet to receive a single call back. I was simply told to “talk to the police,” which feels like an attempt to pass the responsibility — despite the fact that my vehicle was in their care, on their property, and left unlocked.
This entire experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I would not recommend this company to anyone, and I sincerely hope that better standards and accountability are put in place for future customers — especially those unable to advocate for themselves in the moment due to medical emergencies.
Hired by insurance company to come jump start my car. Despite explaining it was due to one of my key fobs being dead, they tried to scam me by saying my battery needed to be replaced. Waste of time and not trustworthy.
I went and had a wheel bearing done. I asked him how much will it cost they tell me 125 an hour and all depends on how long it takes. It took them an hour to do the job but they wanna charge me for 1.7 hours I suggest stay away from this company or they will rip you off.
Our rental car broke down and we were sent to Handy’s Service Centre. Handy was very nice and immediately took care of us, he even spoke to the rental company and explained why the car wasn’t fit for driving.
All throughout the day, while we were waiting for the car to be replaced, Handy and the staff were very nice offering us a place to wait, phone calls to the rental company and drinks.
I was visiting the US and rented a car. In the middle of the trip the car brook down and we had to take it to check it we stumbled across handy's center, they quickly helped and check our problem. As for service the car was needed to to be taken by the rental compeny and he let us stay there for 9 hours until we got our replacment car and all this time the staff was the nicest and offered drinks and help . So not just profecionalty but also kind hospitality . That is the kind of service center i would want .

My car broke down and had to be towed so I called the first place that showed up on Google. Very nice people and quick turnaround on repairs. Never once felt like I was being scammed or taken advantage of.
My son was stranded in Burlington, and I was three hours away and in a panic. John came with his flatbed and towed our car, he was our hero. Personable, kind, fun and efficient, he brought calm to the storm and I am forever grateful. Thank you John!
I had an outstanding experience with Handy’s Service Center when my adult child's vehicle battery died just before their scheduled surgery. Jon (Sr) arrived in under 30 minutes, providing prompt assistance with a friendly attitude that lifted my spirits during a stressful time. So impressed by the service, I decided to ensure the car was in top shape for my children's safety. The team quickly accommodated me, gave me a ride home, and expedited the service so I could make my flight. I will definitely rely on Handy’s for all my vehicle needs in Burlington!
Ruptured my tire on a curb in my WRX last night. Handys towed it in a fixed her right up following morning in about an hour or two. Jon the tow driver was super friendly and kind for such an early morning job. Charlie at the front desk was polite and kind as well. Came out to just $40 bucks. Thanks again Handy’s!
Multiple requests to tow vehicle parked illegally at our condo Association and each time they allowed the owner to talk their way out of being towed, despite having a legal notice to vehicle owner about towing. In addition, I would frequently get assurances that they would come tow and no one would show up. Lots of excuses and complete lack of follow through on promises. Honestly felt like I was being toyed with and don't trust that they had any intention of doing anything. Our association has a history of using this company, but we will now be looking elsewhere for more professional and reliable service.
Mitch from Handy’s came today to help me with my dead car. I was very happy with his service. My car was running again in under an hour with the help of the team from Handy’s.

Alex was the tow truck driver who came to tow my car from my home. This was not an easy tow as the battery in my newer car had completely died. There was no way to move the shift or steering wheel, the street in one-way and small and it was very time consuming to get the car onto the tow truck.
Additionally, the dealership the car was towed too was not prepared to accept the vehicle, even though they were well aware it was coming. There was no one to assist in directing where to place the car and when a manager was finally available, after nearly 15 minutes of waiting. The space they forced the Alex to navigate with a long truck bed was absolutely unable to be moved into by the truck. The dealership cause a large delay in removing the car from the truck. Through all of these difficult momments Alex was receiving calls from his workplace asking where he was and to hurry up. However, Alex was working hard and was without a doubt doing a great job to serve my towing needs. He was friendly, courteous and never let the pressure of the multiple issues popping up hinder his ability to get the job done. Thank you 1000 times Alex. Estoy muy allegro encontrarte hoy. I can't recommend these guys enough!!! They did the impossible with our van. We are a band from out of town and our van's transmission broke as we pulled into Burlington. Every mechanic in town quoted us 1-2 weeks to repair it. Being a band with shows to still play we did not have the time. Handy's said they could get it done in a day. With time running out and limited options we rolled the dice. They overnighted a new remanufactured transmission with full warranty straight from Ford and installed it within only a few hours. I don't know a lot about cars but I know this is next to impossible work. Sure enough, within a day our van was in working condition and we are currently on the way to our next gig. Charlie was honest and direct in his communication without overpromising and even helped us out a bit on our bill. And have to shout out Pedro in the shop for installing a new transmission in only a few hours. Best experience I've had with an auto shop. 10/10 experience!
not usually one to leave bad reviews but i feel like my situation was warranted. i had to call 3 times over the span of 4 hours to have an illegally parked vehicle taken out of my spot and wasn’t even acknowledged by anyone but the customer service reps who claimed to be “calling the person on call.” absolutely terrible experience, no wonder this company has the reputation it has.
I’ve been bringing my car to Handy’s Service for over 10 years. It’s the most trustworthy car service in town. The professional technicians make your car run like new. Same-day oil changes at very affordable prices are a huge convenience. The customer service is exceptional—always kind, understanding, and reliable.
4/24/25 Called Handy’s to get my car towed to an auto shop, within an hour or so tow truck was at my house. From the moment Randy answered the phone to when my car was picked up, Randy was very very professional, very efficient and by the sound of his voice it was a service with a smile!
